Christianity Etc › Re: Atheists Are Bunch Of Ignorants by JeromeBlack: 10:14am On Sep 06, 2019
Netfilix:
I live in Apata, Ibadan. I got this message around Olodo area.

This seer was a total stranger. He delved into my personal life.

I was having trust issue with my fiancee who I am in a LDR with.

Then he saw me and told me exactly the kind of relationship I am in and my trust issues.

He told me that my babe is the right one for me and I should put my mind to rest that it is the devil and I shouldn't allow him.

Maybe it is a witchcraft of Heavenly power. It is a supernatural power.

This is just one of the supernatural experiences that I have had.

What I am saying is... Atheists are ignorants. If you are so keen about knowing whether or not there is supernatural forces, you would have gone to seek some knowledge from Magicians and Harberlists.
What if the Seer studied you and planned the meeting?

Dear Op,humans are gifted! They don't have to be a God/devil in the picture. Have you heard of remote viewing or cold reading? Have you heard of placebo effect?
I myself, was born clairvoyant. Spontaneously I fall into trances and what I see happens immediately. I also experience synchronities..
On Sunday, I stepped out of my house to go get some provisions. The image of a nude celebrity flashed, and barely 3-4 minutes later I saw a newspaper in a gutter with the exact image I saw: the exact celebrity nude!
I have come across people and randomly i "just" know of their lives and they ask questions like "how do you know this?"

AND I am proudly an atheist....

Miracles must not be driven by supernatural forces. It is a deviation from Norm
Sure, are you by any chance on drugs?
Islam › Re: Abuse Of Women And Children: What Says Islam? by JeromeBlack:
This is a very controversial issue in Islam. Some muslims dont see abuse the way some other muslims see abuse.

There are imams that state that wife beating is permitted in Islam. They use Surah 4:34 to support wife beating.

There are many muslims who believe that it is okay to marry 13 or 14 year old girls since there is one age of consent in Islam. There is also old Arab culture in which girls who hit puberty are ready for marriage.

Just started with Billions.
Misfits?

That's a British series. I watched it long long ago. Very interesting

The UK tory government is just as inept as her American counterpart, worse even. The UK is as racist as America, and two times more xenophobic.

Trump is trying to build a wall between America and Mexico, guess where he got the idea from? Just guess. Yup, the center of equality, the UK. Google Calais border barrier, why don't you? Brits hate foreigners and immigrants, heck, it's what precipitated this Brexit trainwreck in the first place. You think Trump is bad? The UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, is his more evil twin.

The only places Brits have a modicum of superiority over Murica are in healthcare and policing, that's it. In other areas, America shits_ all over them island monkeys. grin
It's okay, just know that I want to inherit your DVD collection after you either get shot for driving while black by police or shot by a crazed mass murdering gunman.

Or maybe you might die of obesity/diabetes or cancer. God knows that the poorly regulated American food industry only cares about making profit from packing sugar and other untested GM products into their foods. Or maybe the failed healthcare system will get you.

Sha, dont forget me in your will. A spare parts dealer will appreciate your DVD collection.

The UK may have a better standard of living due to her smaller population, and miniscule land mass, but America has a better, more robust, and more attractive economy. In both GNI and GDP per capital, America shits on the UK, heck, there are three states in America that have better GNI and GDP than the UK, namely California, Texas, and NY. The UK isn't even the best Economy in Europe. In GDP per capital, she' a distant second to German. In GNI per capital, she's 10th in Europe. Things will get even worse for the UK post no deal Brexit.

FUCK_ The UK. grin
Still, I would rather live in the UK. F4ck Trump. F4ck expensive healthcare. F4ck racist police and F4ck America.

Need I remind you that America has much better economy than the UK?

In small town America, tickets prices are peanuts. Contrastly, commodities are generally expensive in big town America. Pretty sure similar scenerio is seen in the UK and everywhere else.

Furthermore, America employs a taxing system that tends to make her commodities very expensive, as opposed to her western counterparts. A $10 ticket in America is actually $8 before tax.
You sound like someone who studied IT and not business/economics.

UK has similar taxes to the usa (personal income)

The tax on sales is similar the difference is that in the UK, it is already calculated in the cost of goods.

We in the UK are not stupid like Americans who refuse to put the full price on goods sold. Why separate the taxes as if the customer wont pay it at the end?

Oh, by the way, the UK has a better economy than the USA. Stop thinking like a cowboy. Bigger is not better. We in the UK have a higher standard of living

Bleep AMERICA grin

KoiceReloaded:
Can't say for certain. It depends on the theater and format. For instance, Indie movies go as low as $4 dollars, Blockbusters, for $10 to $20. For IMAX/3D experience, $20-$30. For VIP treatment (your own box and the whole nine yards), $50. It varies from theater to theater.

Fortunately, I live in a fairly big city teeming with movie theaters. I have options, and often I go for the most frugal - New Vision Theaters. For popular franchises with 3D-centric visuals, I occasionally splurge on IMAX.
America is totally useless. In smaller towns in UK, you could watch a blockbuster for between £6-£9.

In central London, it's about £10-£17

I have only gone for VIP once and paid £20. I think it was a discount. I watched the hobbit part 3.

Peckham cinema, in south London has a gangsta cinema that shows moves for as low as £5 or £6

TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by JeromeBlack: 3:30am On Aug 13, 2019
This is the same thing that happened when they said that Black Panther was over hyped. Now they are saying that Endgame is over hyped.

Local kazeems that probably did not watch the movie when everyone watched it at the cinema and do not understand the significance of the movies are now coming to analyse nonsense.

It would do people a lot of good to look at the meaning of overhyped before claiming something is overhyped.

Of course, the exception is DC fanboys who never see anything good in marvel. If Jesus was a marvel character, these DC fanboys would become satanists.

grin grin grin KoiceReloaded don kill me oooooooooooooooo so classix like

Civil war,Avengers Assemble and Winter Soldier(I won't even add infinity wars to the list cause that is on another world of its own) are fan service movies? They didn't have solid stories that tied up the extended universe and developed the well written characters despite the different hands that touched the other movies? now I know you are pulling my legs

How can you say that? didn't you watch infinity wars? can you compare thanos and doctor stranges character development, the unification of the GOTG , avengers and the sorcerers, thors and a more matured rockets adventure to get the storm breaker etc can you compare all that to..............time heist?

You see? even you know that the movie is overhyped
losprince:
Say no more, reality is lost on some folks here.

Granted endgame was epic, I got multiple Goosebumps from several scenes, even the 10 seconds all female faceoff with thanos gave me mad chills and I kinda liked captain marvel in the movie, but with that being said I only regard it as a visual spectacle and a nostalgic ride, the stakes weren't that high and the apprehension was almost non-existent. It won't be held in same regards as the dark Knight.
Some people are experts at analysing nonsense.

Let me drop some few facts.

1. Technically, all marvel movies are fan service movies given the added numerous Easter eggs shown in each movie for comic book fans. Just look at the amount of stan Lee cameos.

2. If a product is over hyped, it simply means that its features were exaggerated and did not meet its expectations. Only a liar or a dumbass would claim that Avengers endgame did not meet expectations

A. It gave a nice ending to the current Marvel cinematic universe.
B. It was an interesting film that kept our attention for 3 hours.
C. It ticked all the elements of a superhero movie. Crazy Superhero fights. Super evil villain. Gripping science fiction. Redemption. Etc

3. Thanks to koicereloaded, I understood that avengers endgame is a summary movie- it is the movie that ties the cinematic universe to an end. Therefore, it is going to be a different movie from its predecessor, infinity wars. It is going to focus more on closure, than the events that caused chaos and brought our heroes together. Once you understand this, the comparison to infinity wars would be more nuanced.

4. While Endgame and the dark knight are both superhero movies, they are very different. The dark knight tries to ground itself in realism with a gritty/dark main character in a gothic city. Avengers endgame embraces the science fiction and is more upbeat. Both are award winning movies. Note that Endgame would have more awards.....
