This is why atheists insult Christians. Let's learn to get our facts right. |
blackfase:Mr. Man, I have read what you wrote up there. I didn't see how God was against prosperity message in the article. |
Na wa for this generation of Christians. OP please go back and ask them why it is wrong to use an iPad to preach. Instead of many Christians to focus on being Christ like, they involve themselves with frivolous issues that never mean anything. |
johnydon22:That was why I gave the article above where scientists said that people had their experiences 2- 3 Minutes after the brain had shit down. |
Aizenosa:No 1: I am not a protestant. No 2: Its a Catholics and Charismatic reunion two different movements why won't "protestants" be there. It's a reunion for crying out loud. And BTW, they are not even protestants, they are known as Charismatics. You guys don't even know what protestant means. |
The fact that someone like Hitler that killed millions of people cannot go unpunished. Secondly read this article: There is scientific evidence to suggest that life can continue after death, according to the largest ever medical study carried out on the subject. A team based in the UK has spent the last four years seeking out cardiac arrest patients to analyse their experiences, and found that almost 40 per cent of survivors described having some form of “awareness” at a time when they were declared clinically dead. Experts currently believe that the brain shuts down within 20 to 30 seconds of the heart stopping beating – and that it is not possible to be aware of anything at all once that has happened. But scientists in the new study said they heard compelling evidence that patients experienced real events for up to three minutes after this had happened – and could recall them accurately once they had been resuscitated. Dr Sam Parnia, an assistant professor at the State University of New York and a former research fellow at the University of Southampton who led the research, said that he previously that patients who described near-death experiences were only relating hallucinatory events. One man, however, gave a “very credible” account of what was going on while doctors and nurses tried to bring him back to life – and says that he felt he was observing his resuscitation from the corner of the room. Speaking to The Telegraph about the evidence provided by a 57-year-old social worker Southampton, Dr Parnia said: “We know the brain can’t function when the heart has stopped beating. “But in this case, conscious awareness appears to have continued for up to three minutes. “The man described everything that had happened in the room, but importantly, he heard two bleeps from a machine that makes a noise at three minute intervals. So we could time how long the experienced lasted for. “He seemed very credible and everything that he said had happened to him had actually happened.” Dr Parnia’s study involved 2,060 patients from 15 hospitals in the UK, US and Austria, and has been published in the journal Resuscitation. Of those who survived, 46 per cent experienced a broad range of mental recollections, nine per cent had experiences compatible with traditional definitions of a near-death experience and two per cent exhibited full awareness with explicit recall of “seeing” and “hearing” events – or out-of-body experiences. Dr Parnia said that the findings of the study as a whole suggested that “the recalled experience surrounding death now merits further genuine investigation without prejudice”. Dr Jerry Nolan, editor-in-chief of the journal which published the research, said: “The researchers are to be congratulated on the completion of a fascinating study that will open the door to more extensive research into what happens when we die.” http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/life-after-death-largestever-study-provides-evidence-that-out-of-body-and-neardeath-experiences-may-actually-be-real-9780195.html |
cidieschat:1. Blessing someone is different from praying that the person win an election. 2. The president came to him and not he to the president. So he would still pray for him whether it was God's will for him to win or not. 3. God never told him who the president would be. God does not tell men of God everything in case you didn't know. Just like when Elijah spoke of God not telling him that the child of the woman whom he had blessed had died. God also did not tell Jesus that John the Baptist had been beheaded, it was some disciples that came to tell him. The kings that got prayed for in the O.T happened because God specifically told the prophet to go anoint the person. |
God has given every nation the solution to its problems centuries ago in His word. And people of the earth refuse to apply it. So what else are you looking for? BTW, when Jesus came why didn't He go and meet the ruler of His nation and give him the solution to their economical problems? FYI, get your facts right, Bishop Oyedepo never prophesied that Gej would win. He only prayed for him. |
Why don't some of you read the bible for crying out loud. This is to add to the scripture sportsmaster gave above. Romans 14 5One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. So you'd better check if your so called revelation is of God. |
ribbit:Its all God's plan na. ![]() |
ribbit:So let's go by your logic. Since you say we are all doing God's plan and no one can nullify it. You called his post a meaningless contribution... What of it was God's plan for him to write the "meaningless contribution" on your thread? According to you that means it was God's plan. So why get annoyed at his post. Or it was also God's plan for you also to reply his "meaningless post"? After all everything is automatic, forced by God and cannot be changed as you said. |
I am just here to observe. But anyway, I remember I asked God this question about two to three years ago when someone died that prayed much. And He gave me the answer. I will just summarise in this one sentence for you Spirit filled Christians: "Labour to enter your rest, turn the ship of your life around with your words in consistency". |
CaptainJune:My brother, From this, I think I have seen why most people I see every day that claim to be Christians are living such powerless and defeated lives. Their concept and version of God is very ludicrous. Chai! Na wa o. Sometimes you wonder if people can read or not. Are the scriptures that hard to understand? The ignorance I see here is extremely profound. Instead of them to read anointed books to aid their understanding, they won't. SMH. |
Firstly, Whether one tithes or not is never a problem. Either way God still blesses you. Secondly, most pastors that support tithing do not do it out of selfish interest, even if tithing might not be commanded in the N.T, they do it out of what they learnt growing up, the culture they were inoculated into, in all honesty and sincerity of their hearts. So because someone preaches tithing does not mean anyone should judge him cause God knows his heart. |
shizzy7:Don't mind the pessimistic wailer. |
misreal:K for kite. ![]() |
Ichiato:So was Mary on the ark? ![]() The ark was commanded by God. Your Mary statue was commanded by who? No basis for your claim. Non whatsoever. |
Ichiato:Where you not the one that wanted to educate me? O gave a suggestion for consideration because O wanted you to "enlighten" me. Which you couldn't. So why didn't you show me where it said it was the Messiah as you guys said? BTW, I never did tell you what I knew was the meaning. So don't jump to assumptions. |
Those two guys you mentioned are the wrongest set of people for the discussion. I would recommend Stephansmily. |
So tomorrow is supposed to be rapture or wat? |
dmandy:No worship there. |
Dmandy Whenever you find it, i will answer you later In the morning. Ciao! ![]() |
And they left one after the other. 3 against 1. Na wa o. |
dmandy:Nope. My quote first. |
dmandy:It might be different in God's eyes after all the commands He gave. And also some might be worshiping those statues while others are not. So it is not about me. |
dmandy:It might be different in God's eyes after all the commands He gave. And also some might be worshiping those statue while others are not. |
Ichiato:I gave a suggestion not a dogma. I said it could be a saint. That was why I wanted you to provide proof for me that it spoke of the Messiah. But you still couldn't. |
dmandy:Quote me where I said you guys worship Mary first. |
Ichiato:From our discussions, it shows you don't even know what you have been talking about. You just gave a scripture out of context and still could not explain it. Well, no one has shown me a second scripture where it says Jesus gave Mary to us. When you have the scripture, come back. |
dmandy:Sorry for what first? |
