PoliticsEbony Youth Happy With Jonathan's Performance by jerusalem101(op): 6:14pm On Mar 06, 2013
Ebonyi youth say Jonathan has performed credibly.
The Ebonyi Youth Assembly, EYA, commended President Goodluck Jonathan for what they described as the able way he has piloted the affairs of the country.
This is contained in statement issued by the EYA on Wednesday after its extra-ordinary general meeting held in Abuja.
In the statement signed by Chinedu Ogah, its National President, the group particularly commended Mr. Jonathan for religiously implementing the Transformation Agenda.
Mr. Ogah also commended the president for the introduction of SURE-P, adding that many Ebonyi youth were employed under the scheme.
He praised the Federal Government for awarding contracts for the construction of roads and other projects in the state, and pleaded with the president to ensure timely completion of the projects.
Mr. Ogah said that Ebonyi youth are in support of President Jonathan’s second term ambition.
“President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is constitutionally qualified as a Nigerian to seek re-election in 2015,” he said, adding that the court has cleared the coast for him.
He said that giving Mr. Jonathan a fresh mandate in 2015 would enable the administration to complete on-going projects and embark on other people-oriented programmes.

It's no news that Nigerian politicians in their quest for power will do anything, they can even kill the whole community they claim to represent or serving, imagine a well known HON member of the house of representative Husainni Dei Dei of congress for progressive change (CPC) having a factory where weapons of mass destruction is being produce And tomorrow himself and his fellow opposition members will cry out with a loud voice telling the whole World how insecurity (created by them) has eaten so deep into the country,is this the kind of opposition we need? the JTF should ask him which Government or Country is he producing the IED and the weapons for, if not for the destruction of lifes and properties by his political foot soldiers that he will make use of,it's now clear why the problem of boko haram can't stop since it it a faceless group anybody like Hon. RomanceVal Advice. by jerusalem101(op): 6:42pm On Feb 13, 2013
DON’T GET SO CRAZY BECAUSE OF THIS VALENTINE’S DAY. JUST BE YOURSELF..............
Many people are dying to see 14 February. (Valentine’s day )
A day of fake Love and a deceit day of one night stand, A ∂αγ whose after effect are heartbreaks and diseases..many virgins will lose what they have been keeping for many years because of that one usual day. Some guys have started buying fake engagement rings from street vendors, they have made plans of how they will conquer those girls with hard hearts, many men and women are going to waste all their salaries buying expensive unnecessary things because of that one day!
PIECE OF ADVICE:

MEN, don’t over strain yourself for this usual day, don’t drain your wallet. Buy something simple it will mean a lot to her if she is understanding and well-raised. Don’t do things that you won’t be able to do on the following days. Just be yourself. If you have no money, just call or text her…

WOMEN, don’t turn your man to be a goldmine or a money machine because of this one day, don’t make him get a loan in the bank, don’t do the unnecessary things that will make you lose your dignity and end up regretting for your entire life, be careful and value your bodies. Try to understand your man, if he brings for you something small; appreciate it because that’s what he can afford. If he fails still try to understand him and it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. He truly loves you… I know someof you may not agree with me but this is my own simple write up and above all go find out the Essence of valentine ma peeps...

FamilyRe: Rebuilding A Relationship After An Affair by jerusalem101: 4:02pm On Sep 17, 2012
debrief08: Let me borrow MrJaybrowns 3 Cs; You didn't Cause it, You don't have the power to control it and you can't change it.
It hurts a lot, but first step, realise that it wasn't your fault. You didn't fail in anyway and "push" him to cheat. Whatever problem you had could have been worked out.
Secondly recognise that you can't change or erase what happened, you have to live with it
Third step, you didn't catch him, he confessed because he knew he made a mistake and is willing to stop and focus on your marriage.its hard to forgive and I know people expect you to "just get over it" but trust betrayed is hard to get back.
My advice is first stop blaming yourself, stop seeking for answers, it happened, if you are willing to let go then start with his help to rebuild love and trust. See why I have a problem with women who do things solely for the benefit of the man, if you had gotten the implants because you felt like it and not because you wanted to please him you wouldn't feel as bad as you do now.
People make mistakes, but when they are mature enough to own up and seek for a way forward I say they deserve a chance, you also hurt God everyday but God still causes sun and rain to fall on you, don't be like the servant whose debt was forgiven yet put his own debtors in jail for less.
Where I would have had a problem was if he was an unrepentant cheat but he is not, please pray to God for Grace and a forgiving spirit, its hard but its possible, also don't suppress your emotions, if you need to lash out, go somewhere quiet and lash out, if you need to cry go and cry. What you are doing is avoiding your emotions, you are scared of reacting so you won't do something that will aggregative the issue.
But when you react, if you are like me then the issue is over and done with and you can start rebuilding your relationship.
Best wishes
Well spoken and I see a lot of maturity in what ur saying,It's hurt, but since we r not perfect being and we do offend pple too,we should learn to 4give.And secondly,, He came out to confess which mean he has acknowledge his Sin and has repented of his sin so give him a chance and make the best out of it dear......

PoliticsRe: Femi Falana On 5000 Naira Note by jerusalem101: 12:11pm On Sep 13, 2012
Please, don't reduce this to personal attack and pedestrian talk. If you have a contribution against my argument, you can make that without using foul language.
My point is clear. Legislators legislate and do NOT interfer in executive decisions that the law has not empowered them to. I think your idea of three arms of governenment is not accurate. You can test that logic if you place it side by side with the principle of seperation of power. There are however few areas where the law permits legislators to intervene like declaration of war and ministerial screening and not in areas like currency redenomination.
I am not in anyway saying that the legislator is not relevant. I am saying that execution of government programs and policies in line with already established laws (like CBN act 2005) falls strictly within the purview of the executive responsibility, and so, the legislature's oversight function can only be to ensure that the laws are followed.
Again, i maintain that this does not add or remove anything from the debate on propriety of the policy. Only seasoned economists can predict at a time like this. But for Falana to come out openly to say that executive policy will be stopped by the legislature on grounds of unpopularity is just an emotional talk. If you want to have a decent debate on this, i will like to listen to you but if it the kind of talk you jus put up there, then i'm sorry, i don't trade insults in faceless public forum.
Mr Frank,,,is the issue on ground a National issue or not? and please i want to know if the legislature can veto the power of the executive or not and on which issue can that be done and please tell us your own view on the concept of "Separation of Power".....

1025: hahahahahahaha. uncle pls go to kiddies avenue because this is the politics section of nairaland. u surely do not belong here. even my great grand mother knows that the executive, legislature and judiciary are the three arms of govt. the laws of every country be it sugar cane law, economic or political laws are made by the legislature while the executive approve it with the judiciary as the body responsible for punishing of law breakers.
sometimes i know hunger can make us reason like tables and chairs but such vital decision that is of national concern will never ever take place without the consent of the NAS apart from here in nigeria.
if to say we are a country, what jonathan did in january was an impeachable offence. how can obama make public announcements of such degree without the consent of the house.
please like i said, go to kiddies avenue because u simple do not belong here.

PoliticsRe: Femi Falana On 5000 Naira Note by jerusalem101: 3:01pm On Sep 12, 2012
This Falana guy is so ignorant that when he speaks, it lack any iota of logic but all emotion. What has NA to do with government's economic policies. There is no need then for executive. If for strategic economic reasons and long term economic security needs of the country the executive decides to redenominate the naira, who is NA to say NO? Is is a law? We can as well outsource our economic and infact executive decisions to NA. The arguments against this policy is just too emotional, similar to arguments against Soludo's redenomination. We should just grow up in this country.
Okupe and Reuben Abati will soon have a new colleague,,,hope the policy will reduce the strength of dollar over naira?
PoliticsRe: Femi Falana On 5000 Naira Note by jerusalem101: 2:57pm On Sep 12, 2012
^ Yes, I a a Nigerian, but not the bandwagon type. I ask again, what has the NA to do with government's economic policies? The job of the NA is simple, law making and oversight and you should check out the meaning of oversight. It is just like saying that the NA should stop an executive agency from functioning. No, they can not. They can only ensure that such agencies function according to the enabling laws, and when they don't, do you know that they still depend on executive agencies to get them to do so? Naira redenomination is purely an executive decision, the only approval needed to proceed as Nigerian law presently allows is that of the president. That was exactly why Soludo was stopped on his track when Yar a'Adua refused to endorse his program. We should stop all these emotions and learn to take things in perspective.

I think as far as NA is involved right now, the question is this: does CBN have the powers to proceed with the redenomination of the Naira with the approval of the President. The CBN Act 2005 says YES. What can NA do in this situation? 1. The law allow them to just ensure that this policy is executed according to the enabling act and 2. to change the law so that NEXT time the CBN will have to get NA approval to carry out its programs. This is the law, my friend.

Now, this does not add or remove anything from the popularity of the policy. And i will also mention that good policies are not necessarily popular policies.
From your argument,i know where to classify people like you.....please where's Soludo's Coins? and please also explain to us how this N5000 note will improve the Economy and clearly tell us where we can fine the Soludo's Coin and the last time you used it to purchase anything..Am waiting for your sincere Answers to the above questions....Thankz
