inaiduna:Solve and kill yourself by yourself... |
flange:You can say that again even up to the 500th iteration |
Industrial Chemistry is just glorified pure chemistry that's trying to mimicking ChemE but unfortunately, it ain't good enough. Industrial Chemistry and ChemE are not abi never the same. It is small scale vs large scale, basically. ChemE have a wider skill set (which the chemist lack) ; heat transfer, control engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, design, too much to mention. Chemical engineers can be employed as process chemist or be involved in process development stage which is a traditional industrial chemist job. Industrial chemist can never be process engineers. They lack the practical and theoretical knowledge of unit operations, Process dynamics and control amongst others. They can never obtain engineering jobs. While we(ChemE) can work as chemist. I can be a flow assurance, pipeline engineer, Process engineer, product engineer, plant engineer, Process chemist, researchers(doing mostly chemist related jobs), corrosion engineer, environmental engineer, biochemical engineer, a Petroleum&natural gas and petrochemical engineer, Resvoir engineer, control engineer, sales and marketing, just to mention a few. So I think this comparison is done by the unenlightened mind. And people who know nothing about the beautiful world of Chemical Engineering should put a sock in it. There is a sharp line between engineering and science (Chemistry) Chemical Engineering is the future! Choose ChemE!!! |
Chemical Engineering. Course: Chemical Engineering Process analysis. The course was 3 in 1.. Design of experiment and ChemE Statistics. Numerical Methods (oh Runge-Kutta) Modeling of Chemical Engineering Systems(Reacting and non-reacting. I love this part) It's wasn't easy. Engineering students should know what's up |

Jarizod:Turns you in uh? LESBIAN ALERT!!! |
SirWere:Indeed. But by the nature of the program, the BSc will still soar higher than the HND in any setting |
In the present day Nigeria, there have been much debate on the HND-BSc dichotomy. Many have claimed that the HND degree have been unfairly discriminated in various aspect such as job hiring, promotions, professional development to mention but a few. As an educated and enlightened individual, I have looked deep into the subject matter and with my findings, I have come into a conclusion. Majority of the people who claim that the HND is discriminated do not know what actually a Higher National Diploma really is. In this post I will enlighten people on "What really is a HND?'' From Wikipedia, this is what I got. Please read with an open mind. Thank you. A Higher National Diploma (HND ) is a higher education qualification of the United Kingdom . A qualification of the same title is also offered in Finland , India, Malta , Nigeria , and some other countries with British ties. This qualification can be used to gain entry into universities at an advanced level, and is considered equivalent to the second year of a three-year university degree course. The attainment level is roughly equivalent to second year of university , a Diploma of Higher Education , but in some cases may be marginally below that of a bachelor's degree. An HND takes two years of full-time study, or one year full-time following successful completion of a Higher National Certificate ; part-time study takes longer. Many universities will take students who have completed their HND onto the third year of a degree course (particularly in areas such as business) - and the second year of a computer science or an engineering degree. This is often called a "top up". You can progress directly to third year degree at these universities across the globe. Usually which of these years depends on the modules taken in the HND. It also means that after three years (or four if a business placement year is taken) a student could have both the HND and an honours degree if studying in a university in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland. Scottish and Irish Honours degrees are normally four year courses, and so an extra year of study is required. In Ireland progression to the final year of a three-year ordinary degree in an Institute of Technology (IT) is possible (referred to as an "add-on" year.) So I have concluded that the Higher National Diploma is not and will never be at par with the regular university degree, BSc. Therefore, the treatment metered to them is fair, it is what they deserve by right and hence no discrimination exists. P.S I stand to be corrected and constructive criticism is welcomed. cc: lalasticlala |
cp2dec1:Ah yeah. But I'm still searching for a way to way to fix that bios stuf |
cp2dec1:Oh thanks a lot. I have fixed the problem. I inserted my HDD in a friends HP 8440p(exactly my model) and reinstalled windows from boot. Thank God his BIOS is not locked so I added CD-rom to his boot options from boot order in bios settings and boot from CD. I have now repaired the fault and also I'm having all my files and software's intact. I am so happy. Thanks bros for your help. I am really grateful. |
Greetings great petrolytes. I am a Chemical Engineering Undergraduate. I love this thread. I would love to work in the oil and gas industry as a ChemE( Process Engineer or whatever niche that I will fit in). I would like to know ChemE duties or jobs in the upstream petroleum industry also. I hope the distinguished fellows in this house can help me out. Thank you all for your time. And oh! I would love to join the whatsapp group. My mobile number is 07084192525 |
cp2dec1:Thanks a lot man. So should I contact HP? Since it seems to Bethe only solution. And how exactly am I gonna do that. What do I need? Product key abi what else? Or should I go to HP Support? |
cp2dec1:I have performed the operation as you suggested. But when I turned on my laptop, it said cmos checksum is invalid that bios will have,to be reset that I should check if bios is reset. Then it continues booting to a black console where it shows , press f1 to restart system and f10 to go to bios settings. So I pressed f10 but the bios was still locked with a password. Please what do I do now? |
jessetom:Thanks man. I know how to dismantle the PC well alright. How do I locate the CMOS battery? Is it that blue round stuff at the upperright corner after removing the keyboard? Please describe it for me, because I have reset BIOS password in a desktop by removing CMOS battery before, but desktops architecture and laptop architecture is quite different. And what about the jumper pin method? And in both methods, what should I look out for? Pros and cons? Thanks man, awaiting your reply |
