Spring2025: People of God I just need your help on this issue. I can't bear it anymore. I'm a 35-year-old man with a bachelor's degree and plan to pursue my Masters degree in the US. I'm married with a kid and my wife is 25 and our son is 1. This year makes it two years after getting married to my wife. I started with my wife peacefully until the day I expressed my interest in pursuing graduate program in the US, my wife accepted the idea readily and I was happy. However, just a day after I made my plans known to her she started disturbing me to apply to the US and jet out. It wasn't time because I plan to apply for Spring but she's all over me all the time. Next, was her attitude of not cooking again. She complain of stress even when I employed two sales assistant to help her in the Super Market where I opened a shop for her. So literally, my wife goes to shop and watch over our employees then come back home. I didn't mind. My wife stopped cooking, washing my clothes or even the kid's. I do the cooking and wash out baby's dresses. She yell at me for any mistake or misunderstanding. But what pained me most that made started investigation on her was coming back home very late even hours after she must have closed from shop. My wife answers calls at odd hours and wouldn't want me to hear. I once came back home one Sunday unannounced and she left her phone charging in sitting room, a call came in and the me she saved it with was 'my joygiver' so I let her knew she had a call and pretended as if I saw nothing just to observe her, she declined to pick but went away with the phone. The next day I went to the shop leaving my office early and discovered she wasn't in the shop so I asked the two sales assistants but they said madam always leave early. By this time the feelings in my instincts were becoming evident. I decided to call her right there and pretended I was in the office and she told me she was in the shop. I confronted her then she laughed and said she came to visit a friend. Few weeks ago, I decided to investigate her phone but I was skeptical of her password because she might have changed the one I know but luckily for me, she didn't. Men, to my greatest surprise I saw my wife cooking in another guy's kitchen while she dropped my kid who was crying without giving him attention. They kissed and romanced and did all they could, I was patient enough to bear it. I read her chats and discovered that she was telling the guy that I plan to go to the US so when I leave he will migrate to my house to have her in full. This is where I almost committed suicide. I just need your advice, should I divorce her or let her be until my son is grown? I'm feeling the pain of this woman remaining in my house but on a second thought, my son. If I divorce her she may run away with my son because the kid is not old enough to leave with me only. My brothers please help advise me. I guess all this things you said it’s a lie if not how can you come here and be sickin for advise again are you okay. |

adioolayi: Thank you for this engagement.
Firstly, I personally do not see the arrest and prosecution of Bobrisky by the EFCC as a witch-hunt, because he was not the first celebrity to be prosecuted for Naira Abuse in recent years...the last before his, that I know of was that of a Nollyhood actress, "Simi Gold" ..prosecuted in February 2023 for same offence as that of Bobrisky. Thank you for this you are highly educated Back to your Triple E analysis, thank you for this, as I am coming across these for the very first time.
I am of the opinion that Naira Abuse has been a cancer in our society, and almost everyone is guilty..Spraying the Naira at parties tops this chart, it seems to be our culture and law enforcement agencies that will stop us from doing this will do loads of work.
Reorientation of a very large society like Nigeria will cost a lot of money.
Have you heard of Classical deterrence theory before?..It's just about how deterrence are being used to discourage crime.
For me, prosecution of a celebrity for a crime being committed by a very large society like Nigeria, can serve as a deterrence...making larger populace very conscious of the law and the crime.
I think the arrest and prosecution of a celebrity like Bobrisky is cost effective for EFCC, CBN and FGN sending subtle message to the larger society that Naira Abuse is a crime, punishable under the law.
Bobrisky's prosecution is a deterrence...All of your Es were ticked by this singular action of EFCC. |

plaetton: Thank you jare.
A clear displacement of priorities indeed.
The EFCC, from its own history, is a very corrupt organization. Its leaders lack the moral courage to pursue Its mandate: the arrest and prosecution of Nigeria's networks of economic criminals.
So in typical cowardly fashion, it goes after the lowest hanging fruits to entertain us and justify its existence. You are so useless for saying things,,, what is the work of efcc,,, make your research before u post mumu |

Johnjustice: Some of these former heads of agencies are corrupt with no moral fiber. Partisan politics style is our problem, how can a former head of public parastatal sound so ignorant?
Is this troublesome man saying EFCC should not enforce the law, according to the constitution of the federal republic?
Bobrisky is publicly spraying money, how can EFCC not go after him, when he is out there, exposing
himself...if EFCC don't arrest who everyone sees breaking the law, then how will their reputation be?
This law was just put into effect this January 2024, this currency abuse law...the EFCC set up a squad for it February 2024...so all those people who abused naira in the past can not be prosecuted. They can be prosecuted if they break the law after the law was passed. It's a shame grown people are so ignorant. EFCC should charge him, in a volatile system like Nigeria, you need to put people in their place.
If you don't know, listen and learn or research before coming to public place to cause unnecessary confusion. Tell them pls some People are just foolish |

ebenholer2: Odinkalu just seems to have a wrong perspective like most Nigerians. We classify some corruption and unconstitutional habits into high and low form. While the high ones are considered to be dealt with but the low ones should rather be discarded or permitted to continue, whereas the level we are not is prompted by previously discarded bad habits we all engage in. Good tell them some people are cowards |

Laurene: Such a clown show of charges filled with BS. Not a fan of Bob but this case is a disgrace for our anti-graft body... Total waste of time and valuable resources.
There has been pressure from Nigerians for EFFC to go after Bob under the unfounded allegations that he's gay... It's like them going after squirrels (internet fraudsters) than the big fish (politicians and influential). Stop going after petty cases... Leave it for the police.
Stop these distractions and get to real work. Do you know the law at all,,, |

Jewessgratitud3: Not entirely true because the conducive environment, constant electricity supply, good roads and security they enjoy can not be compared to what we have in Nigeria.
The smell in some areas in Nigeria can make you fall sick due to constant power failure in this hot weather climate causing serious heat waves. Every house will now open their windows to the street with smell of heat and Early morning breath oozing from this houses. Abi na gutter smell? chai!! Omor it's a
nightmare. You can't experience such abroad.
If youre talking in terms of food, it's cheaper over there though maybe our Nigerian foods are on the high side but you'll still be able to afford it.
It's only the rent I know it's expensive and their taxes but if you cut your coat according to your cloth, you'll live fine. Avoid those their big apartments and you'll have enough change to roll by and still save something.
Life na management until you can Stand on your feet.
In all I still prefer the environment there this una place don dey smell too much. Oga u have to pay for all this things you mention abroad, but here in Nigeria do you pay for anything |
