‘Prostitute’ orangutan chained to bed, shaved daily and forced to have sex with men By Lawrence A. - November 27, 2018 An orangutan chained to bed, shaved daily and forced to have sex with men for years, has finally undergone rehabilitation after it was rescued from its kidnapper The unfortunate animal, named Pony, was captured and “treated as a prostitute” by her kidnapper, who pimped her out to clients. The sickening abuse carried on for years before she was finally freed. Rescuers discovered Pony’s body had been shaved and she was covered in painful bites. She had been chained to a bed and raped repeatedly. The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation said: “Unthinkably, Pony was herself treated as a prostitute. Men could pay a certain amount of money to the house owner to have sex with her.” It is thought Pony was just six years old when she was rescued and it is not known exactly how long she had been at the ‘brothel’. “The house owner strongly refused to give up Pony. To her, Pony was a cash machine and a source of luck.” Volunteer Michelle Desilets told Sun Online: “It was horrifying. She was a sex slave – it was grotesque. She must have been in so much pain.” The orangutan was rescued in 2003. During her rehabilitation, men were not allowed near her, as she was obviously traumatised by the cruel treatment she had endured. It is only after 15 years that she is finally in good health and able to forage for food at the Nyaru Menteng Rehabilitation Centre, where she is in an enclosure with seven other orangutans. https://www.yabaleftonline.ng/prostitute-orangutan-chained-to-bed-shaved-daily-and-forced-to-have-sex-with-men/?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=referral

Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has accused celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji of stealing her baby daddy, Sholaye Jeremi’s sperm after a bout of sex at a hotel. Though lots of social media users believes Kemi might be quite hyperbolic in her claims sometimes, but this particular allegation seems to be corroborating Stella Dimokokorkus’s claims when she had a clash with Linda recently. Stella had called Linda Ikeji a Sperm Thief. Sholaye Jeremi is planning to splash some cash on his favourite past time this Christmas and it ain’t women. It’s more exotic cars. Jeremi is already the owner of one of the top notch Rolls Royce’s. The Delta big boy has distanced himself from Linda Ikeji’s baby Jayce after allegations that she took his used condom from a hotel encounter to an IVF clinic to impregnate her eggs and have a surrogate carry it. Journalist and Professional Blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus recently called Linda a “sperm thief”. I reported a bulk of the surrogacy story. Linda ruined my brand and I forgave her for that part. https://www.yabaleftonline.ng/linda-ikeji-stole-sholaye-jeremi-sperm-sex-hotel-kemi-olunloyo/

We are so ungrateful to our heroes. We have forgotten how many he scored. We only remember the one he missed. If you're to big to commend me when I get it right, you're also too small to criticize me when I don't. That's how I live my life. |

American missionary killed by tribesmen on remote island wrote to parents, saying: 'Don't be mad at them' By Ellen Manning An American missionary killed on a remote Indian island by a tribe he was hoping to convert reportedly wrote a letter to his parents asking them not to be ‘mad at them or at God’ if he was killed. John Allen Chau, 26, was reportedly shot dead with arrows when he arrived at North Sentinel Island. A post from his family on his Instagram account said he was reported killed while “reaching out to members of the Sentinelese Tribe in the Andaman Islands.” They said “words cannot express” the sadness they are experiencing, adding: “We forgive those reportedly responsible for his death”. According to DailyMail.com, Mr Chau wrote a letter to his parents about his hopes to convert the remote tribe. “You guys might think I’m crazy in all this but I think it’s worth it to declare Jesus to these people,” he wrote in the letter, which was obtained by DailyMail.com. He went on: “Please do not be angry at them or at God if I get killed. “Rather please live your lives in obedience to whatever he has called you to and I’ll see you again when you pass through the veil.” The letter was reportedly dated November 16 – one day after local fishermen said they first took Mr Chau to the island – and signed ‘Soli Deo gloria’. Entries in Mr Chau’s journal, also obtained by the Daily Mail, documented his encounter with the tribe, who met him armed with bows and arrows. He later reportedly wrote: ‘Well, I’ve been shot by the Sentinelese… By a kid probably about 10 or so years old, maybe a teenager, short compared to those who looked like adults.” The Sentinelese people on the small forested island are known to resist contacts with outsiders, often attacking anyone who comes near. Visits to the island are heavily restricted by the government and police and anthropologists are now trying to recover Mr Chau’s body. Dependra Pathak, director-general of police on India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands, said seven fishermen have been arrested for helping the missionary visit the island. Mr Chau organised his visit to the island through a friend who hired seven fishermen for 325 US dollars (£254) to take him there on a boat, which also towed his kayak. Police said he first went ashore in his kayak on November 15 and sent the boat with the fishermen out to sea to avoid detection. He interacted with some of the tribespeople, giving them gifts he had prepared such as a football and fish but they became angry and shot an arrow at him. He swam to the fishermen’s boat, which was waiting for him, and went on to write down his experiences in the journal entries that have since been recovered, then set out again to meet the tribespeople on November 16. But police said the following day the waiting fishermen saw from a distance his body being dragged by tribesmen. “It was a case of misdirected adventure,” Mr Pathak said. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/american-missionary-killed-tribesmen-remote-island-wrote-parents-saying-dont-mad-105236382.html |

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit challenging the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) over its refusal to register a same-sex group under the aegis of "Lesbian Equality and Empowerment Initiatives". Justice Nnamdi Dimgba held that where the proposed name of a company or its aims and objectives are caught by the provisions of Section 30 (1) (c) of CAMA, the Respondent (CAC), is duly empowered to reject such an application for reservation of name or registration. The judgement followed a suit filed by Pamela Adie who established the initiatives in 2017 with the aim of advocating for Nigerians who have inclination to same-sex relationship. In her bid to legalise the group, Adie lost her appeal twice at CAC on the ground that the name of the group was misleading and contrary to public policy. She approached the court for redress following the refusal by CAC. In the suit filed by her lawyer, Mike Enahoro-Ebah, she wrote, "Whether having regard to the express provisions of sections 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Article 10 (1) of the African Charter on Human And Peoples' Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act Cap A9, Laws of the Federation on Nigeria 2004, the Respondent's rejection of the registration/reservation of the Applicant's proposed name of an Association - Lesbian Equality and Empowerment Initiatives is a violation of the Applicant's right to Freedom of Association. "Whether having regard to the express provisions of Sections 39 (1) and (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (As Amended), and Article 9 (2) of the African Charter on Human and People's Right (Ratification and Enforcement) Act Cap A9, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, the Respondent's rejection of the registration/reservation of the Applicant's proposed name of an Association - 'Lesbian Equality and Empowerment Initiatives', is a violation of the Applicant's rights to freedom of expression." Justice Dimgba, while acknowledging the right of the applicant to freedom of expression, held that "in exercising its discretion to reject the name sought to be reserved, the Respondent has not violated the right to freedom of expression since the proposed name itself is in collision with an existing and operational law". He held that the case must must fail "so far as the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act is still much operative in Nigeria and has not been repealed". Nigeria's anti-homosexuality law In 2014, then-president, Goodluck Jonathan, signed the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill (SSMPA) into law. At that time, existing legislation already criminalised consensual same-sex activities in the country. The law forbids any cohabitation between same-sex sexual partners and bans any 'public show of same sex amorous relationship'. The law also prohibits Nigerians from registering, operating, or participating in gay clubs, societies and organisations, or supporting such activities. Punishment for violations of the provisions in the law ranges between 10 to 14 years imprisonment. The law has been criticised for violating fundamental human rights and endorsing physical violence, aggression, arbitrary detention and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the country. https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/court-throws-out-suit-seeking-to-register-lesbian-group-id9118172.html

Oladimeji Ramon The Federal High Court in Abuja has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari cannot legally double as the Minister of Petroleum Resources. The court made the declaration on Thursday while giving judgment in a suit filed last year by a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN). Agbakoba had, in the suit, urged the court to restrain Buhari from continuing to hold the office of the Minister of Petroleum Resources. The SAN had contended that Section 138 of the 1999 Constitution forbids the President from “holding any other executive office or paid employment.” In a statement on Friday by his office, Agbakoba said the court in deciding the case held that Buhari had not violated Section 138, since he is not directly in charge of the day-to-day running of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources. The court, according to the statement, said there would have been a violation if Buhari had not appointed someone else — Dr. Ibe Kachikwu — to oversee the day-to-day running of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources. The court explained that the phrase “hold” in Section 138 of the constitution “meant to preside, act, to possess, occupy or conduct the actual day to day running of the office.” “Merely proclaiming/announcing that he (the President) was the Minister of Petroleum is not enough to conclude that he holds the office of minister,” the court reportedly declared. In the suit, Agbakoba had said as a legal practitioner with 40 years’ experience and having checked the Constitution, he was convinced that President Muhammadu Buhari cannot legally hold the office of the Minister of Petroleum Resources and thus urged the court to sack him. He contended that Buhari was not screened for the ministerial job by the Senate, as required by the constitution. He urged the court to determine “whether, by virtue of Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution, the President can hold the office of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, without confirmation by the Senate of the National Assembly.” In a 14-paragraph affidavit, which he personally deposed to in support of his suit, Agbakoba explained that the lawsuit was informed by the recent management crisis which engulfed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, on account of disagreements between the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, and the Group Managing Director of the NNPC. “I verily believe that the governance chaos in the NNPC could not have occurred if the President is not also the Minister of Petroleum Resources. “I am aware that the NNPC provides up to 90 percent of the revenue accruing to Nigeria. I am worried that the crisis in the NNPC will greatly reduce Nigeria’s revenue-generating capacity and will affect the revenue distributable to federal, state and local governments in Nigeria. “This will gravely affect development nationwide and drastically impact one and all Nigerians, including those in Anambra State (my state of origin) and Lagos State (my state of residence). “I looked at Section 138 of the 1999 Constitution and I verily believe it disqualifies the President from holding executive office including that of the Minister of Petroleum, during his tenure of office as President. “I know that the President did not go through nomination process and confirmation by the Senate, before holding the office of Minister of Petroleum Resources. “I again looked at Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution and I verily believe it prohibits anybody from holding the office of a Minister of the Federation, without confirmation by the Senate,” Agbakoba had said. https://punchng.com/breaking-kachikwus-appointment-absolves-buhari-of-blame-as-presidentoil-minister-court/
