2003 Angola 727 disappearance On 25 May 2003, a Boeing 727-223, registered N844AA, was stolen at Quatro de Fevereiro Airport, Luanda, Angola.[1] Its disappearance prompted a worldwide search by the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). No trace of the aircraft has since been found. Background The aircraft involved was a Boeing 727-200 manufactured in 1975 and formerly operated by American Airlines who operated the aircraft for 25 years. Its last owner was reported to be Miami-based company Aerospace Sales & Leasing.[2] While on lease to TAAG Angola Airlines it had been grounded and sat idle at Luanda for 14 months, accruing more than $4 million in unpaid airport fees, and was one of two at Quatro de Fevereiro in the process of being converted for use by IRS Airlines.[3] The FBI described it as "...unpainted silver in color with a stripe of blue, white, and red. The [aircraft] was formerly in the air fleet of a major airline, but all of the passenger seats have been removed. It is outfitted to carry diesel fuel."[4] Incident It is believed that shortly before sunset (likely to be 5PM local time) on May 25, 2003, two men boarded the aircraft. One of them was an American pilot and flight engineer, Ben C. Padilla.[5] The other, John M. Mutantu, was a hired mechanic from the Republic of the Congo.[6] Neither man was certified to fly a Boeing 727, which normally requires three aircrew. Both men had been working with Angolan mechanics to get the aircraft flight-ready. Padilla is believed by U.S. authorities to have been at the controls.[7] The aircraft began taxiing without communicating with the control tower. It maneuvered erratically and entered a runway without clearance. The tower officers tried to make contact, but there was no response. With no lights the aircraft took off, heading southwest over the Atlantic Ocean before disappearing.[8] Before the incident the aircraft was filled with 53000 litres of fuel, giving it a range of about 2,400 kilometres (1,500 mi).[9] Neither the aircraft nor the two men have been found.[8] Theories Padilla's sister, Benita Padilla-Kirkland, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper in 2004 that her family suspected that he was flying the aircraft and feared that he subsequently crashed somewhere in Africa or was being held against his will.[10] In July 2003 a possible sighting of the missing aircraft was reported in Conakry, Guinea,[11][12] and subsequently conclusively dismissed by the United States Department of State.[13] An airport employee reported only seeing one person on board the aircraft at the time;[14] Other airport officials stated that two men had boarded the aircraft before the incident.[15][9] Reports leaked as part of the United States diplomatic cables leak indicate that the United States searched for the aircraft in multiple countries after the event. A Regional Security Officer searched for it in Sri Lanka without result.[16] A ground search was also conducted by diplomats stationed in Nigeria at multiple airports without finding it.[17] The telegram from Nigeria also states that the diplomats did not consider likely a landing of the 727 at a major airport, since the aircraft could have been easily identified. An extensive article published in Air & Space Magazine in September 2010 was also unable to draw any conclusions on the whereabouts or fate of the aircraft, despite research and interviews with individuals knowledgeable of details surrounding the disappearance. Many customers of Access Bank Plc have taken to Twitter to vent their anger over the bank’s alleged “criminality”. The Twitter storm followed a post by an aggrieved Access Bank customer, Ms Arike Martins, who called out the tier-1 lender for deducting N20 from her account after she dialed the bank’s USSD code. Ms Martins’ January 6th post, which has since garnered over 500 retweets and 447 likes, eventually created enough buzz to aggravate the matter. Many more customers have seen been complaining about the same issue, all while mentioning Access Bank’s Twitter handle. So Access bank debits you 20# for dialing their ussd code irrespective of using it or not. This is unfortunate @accessbank_help — Citrus Burst (@ArikeMartins_) January 6, 2019 Meanwhile, even though Access Bank has responded to the complaint and apologised for the “inconvenience”, many customers do not seem enthused by its explanation for the deduction. Ms Martins, especially, is yet to understand the reason behind the N20 debit. I dialed *901# only and the next thing I got was a debit alert of 20#. You debited me for what exactly? What have I used your ussd to do? — Citrus Burst (@ArikeMartins_) January 6, 2019 Here’s what the other angry customers are saying Virtually everyone that commented on Ms Martins’ thread agreed that Access Bank is overcharging customers who dial the USSD code. Some even claimed that there is nothing else that is appealing about Access Bank, as all the good services he liked have been bastardised. They’ve spoilt all the good things I like about AccessBank…I’m done with you guys tho✌. pic.twitter.com/sYX7C5ICSi — VIC3KING (@VIC3KIING) January 7, 2019 Others claimed that Access Bank is trying to recover the money it expended in the acquisition/merger with Diamond Bank Plc. How do you want them to recover the money they use to buy diamond bank♂️ — Unknown User (@mjaey_) January 7, 2019 Other people simply chose to be petty about the whole thing, talking about how they would clear all the money in their account before dialing the USSD code just so that the bank wouldn’t be able to debit them for the service. If I had an account with them, I’ll clear it out. Then with my zero account balance I’ll dial the USSF code at least 50 times. Yeah I can be petty — bola badejo (@funtoarawomo) January 7, 2019 Meanwhile, others decided to drag other banks into the matter by accusing the likes of First City Monument Bank and Unity Bank Plc of being guilty of the same offence. I used to think @UnityBankPlc was one the of best banks with fair pricing until they started charging to check balance with ussd code, Who knows very soon they'll follow in the footsteps of access bank. Worst is I wasn’t even informed of the changes. — Rose Gold (@sesantuedoye) January 7, 2019 As expected, each of those banks quickly responded in efforts to clear their names. Hello, we are concerned about your tweet, please. Shall we DM? #MyBankandI — FCMB (@MyFCMB) January 7, 2019 The many comments that are pouring in on that thread simply attest to the fact that many bank customers are unhappy with the services they receive. Note that the absence of customer satisfaction is one of the most serious problems plaguing the Nigerian banking industry. Access Bank Plc is a tier-1 lender which recorded a gross earning of N375.2 billion billion in as at Q3 2018, with a profit after tax of N62.9 billion. The bank’s stock is currently trading at N5.75 on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. https://nairametrics.com/access-bank-customers-lament-over-ussd-charges/

The never-ending twists and turns involving beleaguered GSM operator 9Mobile have taken another turn as Teleology Holdings Limited (run by Adrian Wood) has pulled out from Teleology Nigeria (the consortium of investors that bought the telco). While none of the parties involved have issued an official statement, some reports have attributed Woods exit to the refusal of Teleology Nigeria Limited to sign a management service contract. Omar Farouk Mohammed-Edewor, however, laid clear the distinction between both firms. The saga so far 9Mobile’s (then known as Etisalat Nigeria) woes began when it defaulted on a $1.2 billion loan provided by a consortium of Nigerian Banks. Parent company Etisalat of the UAE exited the firm, and the banks threatened to take over. They were however restrained by the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with the duo constituting an interim board. The NCC, in particular, had to step in, to prevent the banks from going against regulation by attempting to run the firm. Some of the affected banks then made provisions on the loan. Barclays Africa then midwifed a bidding process for Etisalat of the UAE’s stake. Five firms – Globacom, Smile, Airtel, Helios and Teleology Holdings, made it to the final bidding stage, however, Airtel, allegedly withdrew from the bid process due to what it termed irregularities. Parties familiar with the bid process, however, denied this. Teleology Holdings has since paid $50 million as a deposit, and 9Mobile has begun repayment of loans to the banks. https://nairametrics.com/adrian-woods-exits-winning-9mobile-consortium/

Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, last year collected some N5.320 trillion worth of tax revenue, according to a disclosure made by the agency’s Chairman, Mr Babatunde Fowler. Mr Fowler made this disclosure yesterday in Lagos during a FIRS stakeholders’ retreat. According to him, the agency had actually generated the total sum of N5 trillion by the middle of December last year, with the hopes of rounding off the accounts for the year 2018 at N5.3 trillion. If this happens, which is most likely, it would be the highest amount ever generated by the tax agency during a single year period since it was created. The closest amount to this would be the 2012 record of N5.07 trillion. Mr Fowler also attributed various reforms and new efficient models in the tax collection process as the reason for the recorded results. Meanwhile, comparing last year’s performance with 2017, Mr Fowler noted that it was a difference of N1.292 trillion. “In actual figures, in 2016, we collected N3.3 trillion, 2017 was N4.027 trillion and in 2018, we realised N5.320 trillion. We are also quite aware that our focus has to be on non-oil revenue. And in the past three years, when you look at the percentages in terms of contribution of oil tax revenue, in 2015 non-oil contribution to tax revenue accounted for 65 per cent, in 2017 it was 62.5 per cent and in 2018 it was 53.62 per cent. “So, certainly, our non-oil tax revenue is growing in absolute figures, from 2016 to 2018. In 2016 it was N2.149 trillion, in 2017 it was N2.5 trillion and in 2018 N2.85 trillion. That does not mean we have left behind the oil tax revenue; it has improved from N1.5 trillion in 2016 to N1.52 trillion to N2. 467 trillion in 2018.” In the meantime, the Federal Government has set a target of N8 trillion for the New Year, Mr Fowler disclosed. Part of the money generated by the agency in 2019 would be used to fund the budget. Recall that the Federal Government had introduced the Voluntary Assets Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) with the aim of encouraging Nigerians to voluntarily declare their income/assets as well as pay taxes accordingly. Interestingly, the scheme achieved the set objective. More: https://nairametrics.com/how-nigeria-made-an-all-time-high-tax-revenue-in-2018/

Lol, I didn't expect an insulting word from you though but I was referring to prophecy and confirmation in general not to a particular eclipse or whatever. I didn't even bother to read all the prophecies. I was only telling you that news should be for confirmation of prayers and prophecy. tempest01: |
Work for Buhari as as how? SternProphet: |
If you're really a christian you'll see this CNN update as a confirmation of prophecy not a reason to dispute it. After Prophet Elijah prayed for the rain to return he still sent his servant to go and read the news in quote and the servant returned saying he saw something like the shape of a man's hand in the sky. Sulieman may have seen his prophecies long ago but only waited till crosover service to project it. tempest01: |
orion7:Mind you, tompolo isn't hiding from them. Tompolo was last year re-awarded the maritime contract for protection of the water ways as one of the conditions for AVENGERS ceasefire. How can you place someone on watchlist and still place him on your payroll? Tompolo was never wanted. Buhari was only doing initial gragra. When NDA showed him pepper he returned Tompolo's contract to him and ended his pursuit. |

My dear I know a girl with a similar case that was finally delivered at the SCOAN. She slept a yahoo boy once and since then became a dog. She'd have random sex with unknown people and the following day she won't even recognize them. What she didn't know was that, the more she had sex like a dog, the more money her Yahoo boy ritualistic bf makes. When she finally got delivered, the bf ran mad. I see her everyday and I thank God for her life. They were just using her and some of us were just cursing and abusing her without realizing that there was a force making her to bend towards her own destruction. Whatever got your sister into this situation is POWERS, what will get her out of it is a HIGHER POWER. IamPlato: |

Twitter user, Rere Ayodele, has expressed his fears that some Muslim clerics could be brainwashing little children who come to their mosques. In a series of tweets, Rere said he witnessed a cleric in a Mosque in Ibadan teaching his little sisters and other children, all under 10, that Christianity is not a good religion. He fears that this is how radicals are raised. Another twitter user who saw his thread, narrated how her nephew came home on a particular day and said his Imam told him and other children that Christmas is Haram.
