REUBEN010:
I have 3 interested individuals. Please when is the deadline for registering and on what date is the training scheduled to start? Secondly, I'll want to know how safe the farm environment and the place of abode is so as to know how much risk we are calculating.
Good evening.
The training deadline is Friday September 2nd.
Trainee resumes by Monday September 5th

As regards the environment, you are not calculating any risk. The most peaceful place one can ever imagine

God is the utmost safety.
AgricultureRe: Why Produce When There Is No Industry To Consume? by jethro2: 3:15pm On Aug 08, 2016
Ademat7:
just thinking out loud!
the rate of post harvest losses is alarming in this nation, from fruits, food crops, oil crops et al
there is little industry to consume d produce and local consumption is not worth d effort and capital invested into agribusiness, how then do we generate FOREX if our target is produce&Consume style
may I also state that our fellow ECOWAS neighbours can't buy agric produce from us because they are self sufficient in food production and at cheaper price compare to ours
Your opinion about realistic solution is welcome.
Cc: jethro2,pavore,farmtech,jasper,world1 et al
We need private investors to invest in storage system for fresh perishable goods.
Preservation during harvesting is highly essential in having produce all year round.

There is always market if we can produce quality and be consistence with our production. Farmers need to be assisted with good seeds and be taught Good Agricultural Practises.
