Modified. I meant he will be removed by the court. I'm not wishing him death.
Putting Tinubu in the league of MKO and Awolowo while excluding the likes of Obansanjo all in the name of Yoruba tribalism is actually a bad omen for Tinubu. Abiola and Awolowo are actually controversial leaders. None of them actually completed their tenure. It's either they were impeached or they went to jail during/before their tenure or they were murdered before they got their mandate.
tesppidd: Oga Mr Smart, I specifically said Presidential election.
In a country like Nigeria where institutions don't work and the country's judiciary is filthy and corrupt, you are talking about proof,,,
Lol
You must be as naive as a teenage girl.
Supreme Court of Nigeria cannot remove a commander in chief and President.
Impossibility.
Stop playing yourself.
I actually said anyone can be disqualified. What I said encompasses every candidate (whether presidential, Governorship, senatorial, etc.) but you are not discerning enough to understand that.
Institutions may be corrupt. Yes. But.... the election tribunals are set up in such a way that the panel of judges reflects national character in order to checkmate all form of biases that might occur from nepotism, tribalism, and favouritism.
Supreme court can remove anybody. The constitution gives them the power to do so. Just present a strong case that is too hard to counter. For example, a candidate can prove that his votes are more than what INEC gave him/her or the process did not follow the constitution.
It would take another 100 years for a Presidential election to be nullified around here.
Even if the Chairman of INEC is caught snatching all the ballot boxes, for the sake of national interest and security, the results must stand.
The motto here is, "win first and let's go to court, just win first"
You're not smart. Anyone can be disqualified. The only problem is to bring substantial proof to show that the winner of the election rigged the process. Believe me when I tell you that it is very hard to prove it. This is where a lot of petitioners fail (a very recent example of one petitioner that has failed is Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola the former governor of Osun state).
beerfraud: Good judgement Peter Pandora obituary’s supporters must get sense
Na so we take dey know idiot. This case na 2019 case wey dem don settle for supreme court since 2019. This has nothing to do with Peter Obi and his Obidients crowd.
HardMirror: I will keep this short and no one should send me any message.
So last year I decided to revisit freelancing because I am a gifted writer and been writing for many years so why not use it to make money?
So I registered on a freelancing site and the journey began.
Making money is never the problem if you are a freelancer, the problem is how much time can you give to the job. The job was just too much that i had to employ many nairalanders to work for me. At a point I was earning $900 per week (i could earn much more than this but where is the time to do more work?) but the work was just too much. So much that i moved to an hotel for several months just so that i can focus and have the hotel staff attend to all my needs so I dont have to do any work except my writing job.
This is a job that would make you want to go mad. You will work mornimg and night as if you have no life. Forget social life, all you will be after is to meet deadlines.
People will think you are a yahoo boy because you dont go to an office and you are always on your laptop. They also see that you dont have problem with money. To make it worse you are always going to bank to collect dollars and take to aboki.
I shake my head when i see nigerians complaining that there is no work. There is work but most people cannot work. That is just the truth.
If you know you can make these sacrifices then you should consider freelancing so far you have the skills for the jobs you want to apply for.
Freelancing has been very hard for me recently. I've not had job since 6 months and I'm doing coding.
AImiron: Stay away from hard drugs. Say no to ICE Obi will only rule in y'all obim0rons retaaaaaarded minds, not in the real world.
Mr. Chidi isn't discerning enough to understand the difference between Oyetola vs Adeleke's case and that of Obi vs Tinubu's case.
Oyetola is claiming there was over voting in the polling units and he relied on INECs synchronized report from backend server to prove this but the court said it's only the report from the BVAS machine which was used to accredited voters that will be accepted not one useless "synchronised result" that was invented by INEC. Even some members of the panels of judges at the tribunal was saying the synchronized report is an invention of INEC and that's not in the constitution.
In the case of Obi vs TInubu, Obi is claiming that he got more votes than what INEC gave him. What he needs to prove it, is the Form EC8A or any copy of that form not the BVAS machine. Results on iRev will suffice.

It's more like wahala for INEC. INEC shit themselves in the foot. So they didn't monitor LP congresses at various level and they accepted the candidates forwarded by the LP
GoodbutBadguy: 1. You are the dumb always do your research b4 talking, IBB modeled the US democracy for the creation of the democracy we are using in Nigeria. And I maintain my stand that USA is the founder of democracy. 2. It's unconstitutional to air the court section on a live broadcast. So Atiku petition is dead on arrival because it lacks the constitution backing, and INEC national collation of result has always been aired live.
You should be the one to do proper research. Your shallow understanding of the origins of democracy is illusionary. Furthermore, it is not against the constitution to broadcast court sessions live. If that were the case Wale Olanikpekun et. al. would have cited sections of the constitution to support their assertion - don't tell me you know more than them. In fact the constitution actually barred judges from holding court sessions in private. Therefore broadcasting it live is in line with the law as that will make it available to the public.
Before you reply me, learn to improve your vocabulary and try to know the difference between section and session. Also, read more about the origins of democracy.
GoodbutBadguy: But the 2003 & 2007 tribunal that were a clear robbery and the worse election since independent were not broadcasted to the extent that Yaradua said that the election that made him president is not fair. Atiku is a man of double standard , broadcasting the tribunal live will mount unnecessary pressure on the tribunal . If USA the father of democracy didn't broadcast any of theirs why should Nigeria who is just 20yrs in democracy do so
You're dumb. USA is not the father of democracy. If you think I'm lying then ask Mr. Socrates and Plato.
Secondly, the 2003 and 2007 petitioners didn't ask for live broadcast of the proceedings.
Thirdly, INEC broadcasted the sham election results live on TV. who called it a TV show when they announced the sham results? INEC shouldn't be hiding under the cover.
LeoDeKing: The best Buhari can do for Emefiele now is to sack him so he (Emefiele) quickly handover and japa. I strongly doubt Tinubu will not set an Investigative board to x-ray his stewardship as the cbn governor. It will take more than a miracle not to find him culpable of some shady deals and that is where the hammer will be brought down on him.
And to make things worse for him, Nigerians are very united in their agreement that Emefiele should be seriously punished not just for the suffering he inflicted with that naira swap dogshit, but for taking the whole country for a ride. Okay, the new naira note he claimed should take over the old one, where is it now?
The only two people happy with this Emefiele madness are Atiku and Peter Obi, unfortunately for him, they both lose the presidential elections.
even Obi's supporters are not happy with Emefiele. Any punishment on Mr Meffy will be welcomed by all Nigerians
HomeTutorsPro: He wasn't destined to feature at the red side of Manchester. At least not yet. Besides, United is not the first big club to ignore a player who would turn out to be a super sensation. I am a Manchester United fan but I am glad Haaland didn't get signed to United. City is a more complete team than United at the moment. Haaland is a good player and deserves the success he's enjoying currently. I doubt if he'd have made it this brilliant had he joined United.
I also hope that we don't have Oshimen at Manchester or Chelsea. He should just remain with Napoli. EPL can ruin someone's career.
BIZNess123: I hope those that always accuse EFCC of going only after Yahoo boys can see that they are also after thieves
The EFCC are only after these guys because they see them as the one encouraging sunrise power to litigate the Mambilla power project. The EFCC wants sunrise to withdraw its case. Once that happens all these yeye allegations of corruption will fly away.
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy made it to the frontlines of blogs again over his Met Gala experience.
A video captured the moment when an Arise TV reporter tried to interview him on the red carpet, but his attention was called from inside, and he could not spare a second for them
In the clip that has gone viral, Burna was seen with the British-Nigerian rapper Skepta as they both walked up the Met Gala red carpet and granted a couple of interviews until, when it got to the turn of the Arise TV crew, a white man and a lady walked up to them to request his attention inside.
However, the Arise TV reporter persisted by calling for his attention; Burna Boy replied and pleaded that he needed to go inside at that instant
Burna boy na racist. He snub black con dey follow oyibo.
lhordspy: Maybe i am wrong BUT This doesnt make sense. NBC is a regulating commission, it should have power to be able to sanction erring broadcasting organisation without having to rely on the judiciary.
Instead it is the broadcasting organisation that should file a case at the court if they are not satisfy with the sanctions imposed on them.
It is more like telling LASTMA, ROAD SAFETY and other precautionary and regulating agency to seek court intervention before impounding your vehicle for going against the law.
Court process takes to long. We all know NBC is the only thing holding this mischievous and overly sentimental media houses by the balls and checkmating their excesses. If not, journalism would have been an insane crazy affair in this country.
The NBC cannot be a judge, jury and executioner in matters that they're a party in. Even LASTMA, Road safety etc takes people to court when they voilate rules before impounding vehicles.
Since the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Obi had insisted he won the election, as headed to court to contest the outcome of the poll.
For your information, Mr Peter Obi have always sworn to challenge the outcome of the election before the results were announced and Tinubu declared winner.
9jahotblog: the direct mode of primary of APC oils entirely fraud and sham. It shouldn’t be condone again. If it’s indirect mode of primaries like what the Pdp adopted in their primary election, it will have been free, fair and credible and not sham direct APC primaries in their party. Now the court of justice will nullified the sham direct primary election APC conducted in Kogi State in this month. Too much evidence in the court to nullify the direct primary election. Yahaya bello destroyed Kogi State APC no be small.
Well, Mr. Dumb Adeyemi has been telling people to wait till 2027 despite the tons of evidence on the irregularities in the elections. Even some media houses have gone to verify the Evidences and found out the claim of the opposition parties are very true. Nassarawa state govnorship elections and the Presidential elections are glaring examples. In both cases, the APC won and Mr. Dumb Adeyemi celebrated their victory.
9jahotblog: the direct primary election of Kogi State APC wasn’t free and credible at all. Go and listen to Smart Adeyemi lamenting about the Kogi State APC primary election sham. It was a sham election and not credible poll. Now they have rush to court to get justice.
Oga, kindly advise Mr. Smart Adeyemi to listen to himself. He has been telling others to wait till 2027 when they complain of irregularities in elections but when it comes to him, he'll begin to wail. In fact Smart Adeyemi is more of Dumb Adeyemi than Smart.
viyon02: Good one, we can't just allow some tribes reduce and delay our progressive minds
I just wish that revenues generated in the various states will be collected by the states instead of the FIRS. Wike and Sanwo Olu challenged that in court I don't know how far that has gone. Nigeria really needs restructuring for things to work.
I really pity the Gbagyi people of Abuja and other middle belt Indegeneous tribe of Abuja
Already Labour Party took their Only Senatorial district Ticket for a non Indegene Southerner
Imagine as an indegene, if they go to report at the LGA.. they meet Hausa, if they go to meet FCT Minister they meet Fulani, if they go to meet their Senator its a Yoruba woman they meet
.
Well, the Gbayi people have a non indigenous President and Minister controlling their affairs. Last time I checked Buhari is their current Governor/President and the Minister of the FCT is Mohammed Musa Bello from Adamawa State. Furthermore, federal lawmakers from all parts of the country makes their laws. So before you play your silly tribal card, try to think well.
Billionaire2: The west who are causing the war are the first to evacuate their citizens
Buhari will be more concerned about Chad & Niger republic citizens over there
You are sick in the head. Africans always blame people for their woes. Shey na the west be Wagner group? Shey na American weapons dem dey use. Just open your mouth waaaaa like yansh wey watery shit dey flow from.
Man came from a riverine area in Delta state but he won't ever go there for fishing. You know why? His village people are hungry and they would snatch him, grab him, and runaway with him if he dares go there to do what he's doing in the west.
Our leaders don kill us finish o
No job for man here. Every youth just dey hustle for themselves.
