Why 8 when there’s no major road project, no single flyover despite the increasing vehicular traffic in Benin metropolis, important adjourning roads like the temboga and ewa road are left unattended to, security is zero, if an obaseki can get 8 then how about the likes of Zulum and Umahi who in the normal sense despite their strides are not even supposed to pass 6, what little income are you talking about ? When edo receives the 8th highest federal allocation among 36 states. I would rate obaseki In fairness 3/10

I will rate Obaseki 8/10...

he's done well for the State. There's no part of the whole of Edo State that didn't feel his impact. I will give an example. Ewato is a part of Edo state that has been neglected from time immemorial...nothing has been done by any regime.. But Governor Obaseki took development there..other parts of Edo state..u can see things happening..even with the small resources..things are looking up in that state. The only area he has to work on, is security...herdmens, kidnappers, robbers..the governor needs to do something..that's his only minus...

No matter how you try to twist this, state govts even construct Federal roads, and Other structures even without any promise from the fg, see, come to ogbe stadium, there’s no single structure on ground to host the whole Nigeria , edo was never ready for this, it’s greed, the state gov just want to cash out from fg, this is a disgrace to the whole edo people, there’s no sense in this at all

Edo govt should be blamed, federal govt only promised to assist them because edo govt complained the initial money allocated won’t be enough because of frequent postponement of the festival since last year as a result of covid19. Edo govt is greedy, shameless and useless for threatening to end a festival because federal govt refused to assist them

Normally the federal govt is not supposed to pay for this, but due to the postponement of the festival which was supposed to hold over a year ago, edo state govt asked the fed govt to assist them because they have lose money resulting from the postponement which the federal gift agreed to but has not redeem their promise. Now check this out, what is there that edo state can’t continue and wait for reimbursement from the fg? Why would edo gift threaten to end a festival because fg failed to support them?this is sheer greed on the part of edo state givt
