4. Settling discord if there is any
. Muslims are always advised to join ties with their loved ones and others alike. One of the things Allah did lay emphasis on in His Book of wisdom is joining ties with our loved ones and others alike. The more someone settles the differences between others and himself, the closer Allah is to the person and vice versa. Either someone lives with a Muslim or non- Muslim, there should never be acrimony with that person. This is because hatred and the likes make the blessings and favour of Allah move away from someone who is involved in such things. Likewise, how will someone go into the month of Ramadan (the month of forgiveness and mercy) with a negative mindset? . . . 5. Increasing all acts of worship . . . There are plethora acts of worship, whereby no Muslim can practise all. However, if a Muslim is told or knows that a particular deed is an act of worship, as approved by the Glorious Qur’an and the Books of Hadith and scholars who are on the true path of the Prophet of Allah, such a Muslim should hasten to do them, as no one is guaranteed what will happen to him in the next few minutes. 3. Financial preparation
. . It is important to note that a lot of money is often spent in Ramadan. From buying of food items to spending on the poor and needy, someone must make sure to have enough in order not to put himself in a tight corner, whereby fasting becomes tedious to do. |

2. Medical checkup
. . . Health is wealth, as the saying goes. That is why Allah reiterated the importance of sound health, while revealing the verses about fasting in the month of Ramadan in verses 184 and 185 of chapter 2 of the Glorious Qur’an stating that, someone who is sick should leave Ramadan and fast in other days (that is when the person has recovered from the sickness or disease). Doing light daily exercise is also advisable. A Muslim woman in her Hijaab doing light exercise in the spirit of Ramadan Muslims should not joke with their health, because sound health is the driver of all life activities. |
As Muslims strive everyday, to get closer to their Creator, by trying to obey His laws, they should start doing these five things before Ramadan actually starts. . . . 1. Fasting in some days in Sha’abaan . According to some books of Hadith. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon his noble soul) is known to have fasted a lot of days in the month of Sha’abaan. In some Hadith, it was reported that after the month of Ramadan, where all Muslims fast the whole month, there is no other month the Prophet fasted as much as Sha’abaan. Muslims are also advised to fast for the first 15 days of Sha’abaan and use the remaining days to prepare for Ramadan. The purpose of this is to put someone in the mood of Ramadan before it actually starts. |
Roberto Martinez who was appointed as the
Everton manager on June 5, 2013, has been
sacked with immediate effect
The decision was reached after the Toffees
managed to pick up only four points in the
Premier League since March 5. . . Roberto Martinez Their 3-0 loss to Sunderland on Wednesday, May 11, stretched their dismal run of form to just one win in 10 matches in all competitions. A banner with the inscription “Martinez out” was visible at the Stadium of Light in their recent games, including when some fans held a protest against the Spaniard following the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on April 30. Another form of chant against the manager was scheduled for Thursday, May 12, outside St George’s Hall, venue for the club’s end-of-season awards dinner. However, it is unlikely for the protest to go on, following the dismissal of the manager. Martinez had vowed to bring the “winning feeling back” to Everton following their defeat to Sunderland, their fourth loss in their last five matches, but he will not have the chance to do so against Norwich City on Sunday, May 15. . . . Everton are currently placed 12th on the EPL standings with one game left and are now sure of finishing in the bottom half for a second consecutive season. |
Gianni Infantino, Fifa President Fifa disclosed this in a statement, adding that the decision takes immediate effect. “The Benin Football Association (FBF) was suspended with immediate effect due to a recent injunction by a local judicial court which impeded the holding of the due election,” it read in part. As a result, Benin may miss their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Equatorial Guinea in June. The decision was arrived at during the inaugural Fifa Council meeting being held in Mexico. There would have been a FBF presidential elections on May 4, but a court ruling prevented the exercise from holding, however the suspension will be lifted once a new executive committee has been installed. . . source: https://www.naij.com/826481-breaking-fifa-bans-african-team.html?source=index_main |

A suspected fake army captain has been arrested in the Ikeja area of Lagos state after he allegedly harassed some policemen and paramilitary officers at the task force office. The Punch reports that the incident happened on Tuesday, May 3, when the suspect, George Edem, came to the office of the Lagos state task force on environmental and special offences (enforcement) unit in Alausa. He wanted to see Saheed Egbeyemi, the task force chairman, to facilitate the release of a motorcycle seized at Oshodi a day before. Edem produced a fake identity card and claimed that he resided at Intelligent Quarters, Nigerian army cantonment in Ojo. However, the police found out that the man was just an engineer, not an army officer, and apprehended him. During the interrogation, Edem confessed that he had been impersonating an army captain for eight years, adding that poverty forced him into the act. . . Innocent Idibia aka 2Baba
Celebrated Nigerian Afro pop singer 2Baba Idibia
has finally spoken up after his being mentioned
as one of the men that slept with Mavin Records
diva, Tiwa Savage by her husband Tee Billz.
The Implication singer posted a tweet on
Saturday, April 30 aired his view on the scandal. . . He spoke of his disgust at people making jokes out of people’s real life issues. I’m so disgusted at some people that have been making distasteful jokes out of people’s real life heartbreaking predicament. GOD forgive u — IG: @official2baba (@official2baba) . . His tweet was more in defense of the couple, expressing his displeasure at the way jokes are being made of their present situation than addressing his inclusion in the list of men who Tee Billz alleged slept with Savage. Tee Billz, in that viral rant of his, accused his wife of sleeping with 2face Idibia, Dr Sid and Don Jazzy. He also mentioned 2Baba’s wife, Annie Idibia in the rant for cooking meals for him while his wife, Tiwa, neglected her marital duties to pursue her musical career. |
(3)They rely on backups from their kinsmen from
other countries . . . The Fulani are so connected to themselves that they still see themselves as one regardless of the limitations imposed by geo-graphical boundaries. Historically, the Fulani are said to be in 20 nations of Africa from Mauritania and Senegal to Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya with an estimated population of 7 to 8 million nomadic Fulani and 16 million settled Fulani. It is not out of place for a Fulani from Chad to see a Fulani from Nigeria or Cameroun as one. The bond that exist amongst the Fulani in these countries is strong and should not be under- estimated. The massacre that recently happened in Agatu land, Benue state was said to have been carried out by the Fulani “backups” originating from another African country (allegedly from Republic of Congo) after the herdsmen in Nigeria called for help from the “central command” in Congo . . (4)Fulani have rich and powerful people on their side . . Most people think that the herds of cattle that the Fulani herdsmen roam around with are their own. No, not in all cases. The herds of cattle are often times owned by rich Fulani men and women. The Fulani herdsmen in most cases enter into an agreement on how the calves or milk will be shared. This reason also makes them powerful since the herdsmen know that they are the major source of meat in Nigeria and they have prominent people to shield them. . |
(2)The Fulani also colonized Nigeria
.
. Surprised? Yes, Nigeria was colonized twice. It is common knowledge that Nigeria was first colonized by the British and Portuguese but what is often down played is that the Fulani also colonized a part of the country –the Hausa states in northern Nigeria. Most Hausa city-states of the north was under the control of the Fulani by 1810, 6 years after the launch of Jihad under the leadership of the popular Fulani Islamic cleric, Shehu Usman dan Fodio. The Jihad started after the Fulani immigrants (also called the Town Fulani) who had settled in the Hausa states of the north due to the attractive urban culture of the Hausa resented amongst other things what they considered to be an unfair cattle tax levied by imperfect Muslims. So the Fulani in the town (Town Fulani), despite the influence exerted on them by Hausa customs joined the Cattle or Bush Fulani to begin a holy war which led to the conquering of most Hausa states. Since then the Fulani refused to leave and gained more prominence and power due to the formation of the Sokoto Caliphate. Could it be that this domineering attitude is responsible for the “above-the-law” posture that the Fulani herdsmen seems to be displaying? |
Recent news of the havoc allegedly wrecked by
Fulani herdsmen in different parts of Nigeria
particularly the north central and southern parts
of the country has continue to generate uproar
with Nigerians wondering why the herdsmen
seems to be above the law.
. . . . (1)The Fulani are not indigenous to Nigeria Funny as that may sound but it is true. Historically, it is true that of all the ethnic groups in Nigeria, the Fulani are perhaps the only one not indigenous to Nigeria. The Fulani came as settlers in the early fifteen century as clerics in the Hausa city-states of Kano, Kastina and Zaria. According to history, the people who are now referred to as Fulani entered present-day Senegal from the north and east and they moved eastward over much of West Africa after the tenth century. The herdsmen probably still believe that they have the freedom to go about their grazing activities just like it was done in the olden days. . . .

was born an African and raised up as an
African. My upbringing led me to act and behave
as an African. I have been preached and taught
all the good values of the African culture. . . . So now, my question is, can we all be fair coloured? How would it have been in this world if everybody was fair? If you walked across the street and each person was white skinned bearing the same faces how would it have been? Would that not have been boring? But the interesting thing is that we have variety. Some are black, others are white, and others are Asians. That is what makes the world unique and beautiful. We can make a difference in this world when we begin by changing our mindset. Black becomes beautiful when we accept to be black, and appreciate being black. Indeed being black is unique and beautiful. . By: sir_Jasper |

Although am not planning anytime soon to get married, hey men am still a student, something triggered me to ask this question to Members of this platform, I hope there is space on the discussion table for me to share this question out for all to contribute, ok, let me take my seat, lets discuss. . . . I was listening to a word by late Myles Monroe and he was speaking to young people about relationships and marriage, he made it clear to his audience that he married his wife late. When I heard about that, I wasn't so moved till he made mention of the age he married the woman, you won't guess right, he married her at the age of 25, I mean, Myles Monroe was 25 years when he married his wife! and that was when i was shocked, he married this lady at 25 yet he claims to have married late, I said. When he was saying this, the people listening to him didn't show the kind of shock i showed because in their kind of society, it is usual for men to marry as early as 20 years. Now this brings me to my question, ladies and guys are free to contribute, knowing the kind of society we've found ourselves, the life expectancy of this region and the kind of life we live in this generarion, what is the best or ideal age for a man to get married? . . @sir_jaspeer |

my permission, kindly take down this picture.”
The club manager has since pulled down the
