We import most of the things we use.

If we start selling oil in naira, can we buy from China and Europe with Naira?

It will bring more hardship.

Why don't we wait till we start producing most of the things we use in Nigeria?

Nigeria is like a child that his father is a Village palm wine tapper, managed to send him to a university, and the child is trying to chill with the big boys, it will end in tears.

There is this story about a boy that was pressured by his mum to reveal what was discussed at the Elders meeting his father took him along to attend. The boy gave the mother an info on the promise that she will keep it to herself only for the next day the whole women in the village stormed the palace to protest.

Who remembered this story?

Oga English Master.
It Is called Sack!

Oshey English Omo'se!

Well English can be an arse. However, sack gives the initial impression of the verb 'Sack'
Agriculture / Re: Sack Farming In Limited Yard Space... (yam, Palm, Vegetables) by Jibsonified(m): 5:54pm On Nov 02, 2022
Nice one!

It's SAC not SACK

Why not use a bigger sac for planting yam. If you notice, the yam tubers you have so far are small in size, this is because the sac you used limits its growth. The auxins in plants detects if there space and encourage more growth of the yam. Also, I noticed you used sac for the Oil Palm, this too won't allow the palm to grow. I don't think sac is recommended for plant like Oil Palm that have secondary growth.

Modified: Sorry about the confusion of the word 'Sack' *facepalm* cry

Sack is proper word in the context. smiley

I have now surrendered to the fact that English is my second language, who am I to gain mastery of it. grin

Literature / Re: Robinson Crusoe: Who Else Remembers This Novel? Indomie Generation Stay Off. by Jibsonified(m): 4:30pm On Sep 03, 2022
This boooook!!! You just took me down the sweet memories of my Dad, he introduced me to this book, talked about Robinson Crusoe like as if he was a real person. He kept using the man to illustrate Survival Techniques that one must have. I kept imagining how a man could stay under the sea breathless in order to get supplies up for his solitary life on the island. I had to look for the book myself to buy it and present it to him as a surprise. I bought the one written by Daniel Defoe himself. It was a roller coaster of deeply worded story about the reflection of a young boy while on an adventure of sea travel and eventual casting away to an island where no man lived. The part of Friday was very hilarious!!! I love Friday. The way he was taught to leave his savage life was phenomenal. That book is classic. I can't wait to to introduce to my kids.

Soro soke was trending with the exit of saraki dynasty in illorin governorship election in 2015 or 2019 I can't place the actual year, to now see this white woman claiming it, shows how much these whites have been raping African countries, now boldly trying to steal our language on top of the suffering in their laboratory, called Nigeria.

I don think that was Soro Soke, it was “Otoge” in 2019

Business / Re: We Have Disbursed Over ₦117 Billion Loans Since Inception – Fairmoney by Jibsonified(m): 9:22am On Jan 22, 2022
I have used both of them, and this is what I observed, Branch does not approve high amount at initial application, but Fairmoney can approve even 200K on the first try. Meaning that the higher the risk they are taking in giving you a loan, the more interest they charge. So I think they do this to offer comparative advantage over each other, one just have to know which one meets his own needs with less interest.

73O9:

Branch seems to be far better than fairmoney.
I decided to check interest to be paid on N100k for same loan tenure, fairmoney wasn't fair. To cap it all, fairmoney adds default charges up to 10 days when you don't pay ontime while branch doesn't do so.

Fairmoney has to total payment of N154k on N100k loan while branch has a total of N126k on N100k loan for same 3 months duration.

Yes I am, the sensibility there is comparative advantage, some other Loan Apps charge higher. The person I quoted claimed a high interest rate without mentioning how many month he had to pay the loan, mine was two months. Secondly, the sensible thing in applying for a loan from Fintech is that you have a leverage of technology to get a huge amont of money even for the first time, which is a high risk to the Fintech Banks, so how do you expect them to cover for the high risk? they will of course charge high interest rate per month. Or do you expect them to charge low interest rates like that of NIRSAL or government linked banks that give loans to very few on nepotism?

seborrhic:

Are u sensible at all.
That's 12% per month na which comes to 72% in 6months and 144% per year!
Your own interest rate collaborated what the person u quoted said and u are here saying "that's not true".

This is rubbish talk. FairMoney has the craziest and highest interest rates I have seen. Even normal banks no go charge you like them. Imagine taking a loan of 100k and paying an interest of 90k

Not true at all. I borrowed 100K and paid back 124K within 2 months.

[quote author=pragmatistm post=98589273] She felt she might not be AA because she does not often fall sick of malaria like it used to happen to most AAs. That's why she did it repeatedly before marriage.

Hmm... what you said here is a huge fallacy. AS are the ones not prone to having Malaria, since the morphology of their Red Blood Cell does not support thriving of malaria parasite. The actual reason for the existence of the Sickle Cell trait is that african body system developed the trait in order to adapt to the perenial Malaria diseases. Hence, for her not have fallen sick all this while when her siblings do is a huge indication that she is AS .
