Hi Tholley, Kindy visit the nearest MTN Walk-in centre to perform a sim swap. The requirements for sim swap include:
1. Welcome back pack
2. SIM Certificate (PUK number)
3. Frequently dialed numbers (minimum of 3)
4. Valid ID card
5. SIM registration details.

My phone got stolen today.. with my mtn line in it , which is my main/business line.. i went straight to my office at sabo yaba to do a sim retrieval, on getting there , the security at the entrance asked me if i have any valid ID card which i told him i dont have, because my house got burnt some months which make me loose all my valuable things including my ID card with my ATM card.. i asked him if i can use Affidavit for the sim swap , then he said yes i can do the affidavit for the sim swap.. after one hour i went back to the MTN office.. i was told again that i cant use the affidavit for the sim swap.. does it mean i would not be able to get my sim card back.. Please i need solution .. i mean fast solution.. i wouldnt like to make trouble with you guys.. Thank you

I still thank thee for helping me out with my 08167349201 that has refused to browse for a year and you fixed it for me. The sim is browsing now the H+ is coning up and the download speed is okay

But

I some issues have followed and I don't think its normal

First its the issue of USSD codes not responding. Eg " I dial *556# up to 5 times to see my balance end so on"

Meanwhile I have two Mtn sims and the second one won't act or respond this way.

Secondly is the issue of network failure on this sim, the service goes on and off like NEPA. When ever I'm browsing the service drops off and I have to put the data off before the service signal comes back on again. Or at times while my data is still on, the browsing would just stop and I will have to off and on the data again..

I use an Infinix Note 3 and my phone is intact
I stay in sango its where we have 4g,3g and edge network
I have two Mtn sims and its not the same with the other line

Y'ello, my sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Please note that the device and website visited affect data usage. Laptops and phones with large screens use more data. Also, apps with background data access, also use more data. You can view your data usage on the Settings of your phone, or via the MyMTN app on your phone. Kindly follow these guidelines to check or monitor data usage on your phone: Make sure that mobile data is turned on. From your Home screen Find and tap Settings Select ‘Data Usage’ then select limit data usage or alert me about data usage based on your preference.

You can save data on your device by doing the following:
- Turn off/disable automatic updates in your Google Play Store settings. Instead, manually update the apps you use frequently when they have updates.
- Only upload/download pictures, videos and audio when necessary. Change the settings of apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, BBM, etc. to disallow automatic downloads of media like videos, images and audio.
- Connect to Wi-Fi whenever and wherever it is safe and possible to do so
- If you must do large downloads, as much as possible, do them over Wi-Fi.
- Use app and file sharing apps like ‘Flash Share’ where safe and possible.
- Use Browser data compression options, available on Chrome, Opera, etc.
- Choose to access Facebook with browser rather than the Facebook app which uses more data.
- Where possible, go for offline Android Apps and games rather than the ones that need internet access
- Restrict background data. You can do this generally in Settings or do it for individual apps, also in the Apps sub-menu of your device’s settings.
- Only use when necessary, data-draining services such as YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, etc.
- Identify and limit or remove high data-consuming apps from the Data Usage sub-menu of your device’s settings
- Use Google Maps, Google Docs, and etc. offline.
- Turn off Wi-Fi Hotspot. Where you must use it, use it with a password and keep your password secret.

Y'ello, my sincere apologies for the inconvenience the notifications are causing you. Please note that these notifications are pre-enabled on many websites. However, they can be turned off by following these steps:
To allow or block notifications from all sites (Android)
1.       On your Android device, open the Chrome app.
2.       Tap More and then Settings.
3.       Tap Site Settings and then Notifications.
4.       Use the blue slider at the top of the screen to turn this feature to Ask first or Blocked.
Ask first: You’ll receive an alert from Chrome whenever a site wants to show you notifications. This is the default setting.
Blocked: You won’t see any notifications from websites.

To allow or block notifications from all sites (Opera Mini)
1.       Tap on the Opera icon and choose Settings (gear icon).
2.       Scroll down and choose Advanced.
3.       Disable the toggle next to Opera notifications.

I am just tired of MTN. The last time I complianed of been bugged with incessant and disturbing advert from MTN services. The rate of bugging has actually increased by up to 100%. Make eno be like say I dey lie. Just see the attached pix. I will keep posting the screenshots daily here until them tire or I write NCC and then sue them.
But my question is why should MTN write a program that bugs peoples phones with advert which are totally irrelevant, but would discontinue a service that is actually beneficial to customers like the Missed call notification.
