They didn't roll my over 2.5GB over, and after complaining, they told me their system reads 1.4GB and data dropped to 5.12MB (within minutes without any form of connection) before the auto renewal was effected.

babashiko: Thanks. Yous mean if I didn't finish the data before expiring date on the weekly data the remaining data will be wipe out while I still have validity on the monthly sub. Please note that the unused data will be rolled over once you have the subscription amount on your line on or before the expiration date. |

justFEARLESS: I have called their customer care representative twice today to report but they keep terminating my calls (i wonder where they get those annoying people).
I have been so broke for the past few days n this has led me to MTN borrow Xtratime/Xtrabyte for data to keep working (I am a blogger). Well on the 16th of this month, I borrowed 500mb which was suppose to last for 1 week and everything seems fine until this morning when I tried to browse and I couldn't. I never expected that it was the data because I checked it before switching off my phone last night and I still had 312mb but this morning, it was nowhere to be found. I checked my data usage between 16th and 18th, it was not even up to 200mb and It should be a week next week Thursday so MTN, where is my data (0703797551*)
One of the Customer Care rep I called was telling me that I may have been careless (Egbami), I was like ' Sorry O, if switching off my data and phone is carelessness, abeg what is now being careful o'
I know I am not the first person this is happening to but one of the customer care rep doubted me when I said I may attack MTN.... Why will you scam someone who borrowed to make ends meet

babashiko: I have a monthly data sub which I have exhausted but my validity date is still far and now I have resub for a monthly data plan with the validity still earlier than my first month sub. Now I didn't exhaust the weekly data volume in the next one week will I still be able to use the remaining volume of my data of the weekly sub with my monthly sub validity or they would wipe the remaining data volume as soon as it's validity expired in one week. Hi babashiko, yes you will be able to use the weekly bundle so far it's within the validity period. In addition, please note that for every data bundle (weekly or monthly), there is no extension of validity date. Let me know if you need further clarification. |

Tkoy: I really want to know the problem with all our service providers here in Nigeria. Especially MTN and Glo. My complain is pointing towards MTN network. Today I was charged 50 naira for a service that I did not subscribe for. Please I did not tell MTN to subscribe game factory for me. I have complained to them about issues like this before, but they kept on deducting my little airtime unnecessarily without my consent, and when you call them to return it back they will tell you that is irreversible. Have you not noticed the exorbitant charges from MTN this days. Increase in Data subscription charges, increase in charges when you borrow airtime from them, ranging from 4-5 naira to 5-7.5 naira . they now charge 10 naira when you do share and sale to even your own number. When I buy 100 naira airtime on Glo network, believe you me that I will not be able to use it to make 6 minutes call. The same thing goes with MTN, you will have 50 naira and they will tell you that you have only 1 minute remaining. MTN have increased their normal whatsApp weekly and monthly subscription from 25 naira/week to 50 naira and 60 naira/month to 150. Their data hardly last to completion this days, even when you are using it without any download.
Why is all this things happening. Please our law makers should find a solution to this very issue because, it is really becoming a serious issue in our communication system.
what is our information minister doing over this issue? We can't continue like this. Am tired of always loosing my little airtime to MTN. I bought it from them, but they will not allow me to enjoy it.
Please, the government should take note of this!!
