Mtn data services on my fone just started behaving some how....if I purchase a bis plan, after I use it for one day the data speed reduces drastically to the extend than on 3G I could nt download a 1.5mb file....dis is not the first time it is happening pls can you give me any advice on this?

Sorry about this, kingpheenix. When you have reached 95% usage on your BB plan, your internet speed will be throttled down to allow you access to only chats and emails but downloads will not work. Thank you.

But i tried to deactivate it, it wasn't successful, i called the customer care several times i was told to dial *510*22#. Whenever i dial it, what i do get is welcome to facebook... Mehn! It's annoying! this is how mtn keeps eating #5 everyday from my acct, without option to stop it. I don't know whether u can help on this, 080********.... That's my number.

So sorry about this. To stop receiving cell broadcasts on your phone simply go to your phone settings. If you use an Android device, go to your SMS settings and under Cell Broadcasts you can turn off these messages.

Sorry about this. The smartphone bundle works this way: the 1.5GB works only during the day while the main 3GB works at night(9PM to 6AM daily). When you exhaust the 1.5GB, you'll be left with just the 3GB which is only accessible as from 9PM and this is what happened in your case. Thanks.
