Soko or Tete? I am yet to understand why the Yorubas prefer the Efo Soko to Efe Tete. For me, vegetable is vegetables. I couldn't even tell the difference of any vegetable eaten , well, except for bitterleaf . For those who intend farming vegetables where the Yorubas are highly populated, abeg do Efo Soko (Lagos Spinach). |

LORETA: HAPPY NEW YEAR SIR. please we need a candid answer to this, for who might not be staying where our farms are located.ie.other state Same here, Well, it all depends on what I hope to achieve. On my farm, this is what I feed my pigs with; PKC, Nestle Spent grains, and I do add Pig Concentrate to it (depending on the age of the pigs: weaners, growers or finisher concentrate). From time to time, I do give them cut plantain leaves & stems (I do have that in excess). Cassava peels is something I do get here in excess too, so I go give them after drying or fermenting it. And last, I do mix chicken feeds with their feeds occasionally, give them pelleted wheat barn or soya beans chaff and when I get Nestle golden morn waste, we eat it together. |

opes: They were restricted and fed on corn shaft, not growing well so we decided to allow them roam around, free range. If still restricted, what is the best feed for them, also with free range, is the corn shaft enough? Free ranged? They will do just fine with the corn shaft. Raising ducks intensively isn't really the best of ways to do it, especially when they are confined to a very limited space. You will end up having very sad ducks, even when given the best of meals. |

Goodnewsforlife: oga boss good evening
Please how do u deal with snakes on your farm, I am scared of those creatures
How do u keep them away, it's a fenced 3 plots with one mango tree in d middle
I want to start with 3 female n 1 male Good thing you said it's a fence land, just try as much as possible to keep the enclosure neat, grasses cut etc. I don't know of any plants that keeps snakes away because I did try planting the tobacco plant, and believe me you, I did see snakes on the plant a few times. . Nevertheless, throughout my goat rearing period, I never had any incident of snakes attacking or killing any of my goats. |

LORETA: Pls just a quick one..how much is a bag of pkc now.. Also because I am not much around, can I feed my pigs with only pkc.? If not what else can I buy to add. I mean already made feed in bags only. For easy purchase. Thanks
Can I call you on phone I need just few question to answer.thanks @ presently, a bag of PKC over here is N6,000 (50kg) PKC alone won't give you good results. The idea for me on my pig farm is to achieve 75/80kg in 5 months. |

Yampotatocarrot: Dry season farming... More profit, I believe The drier, the merrier. You'll almost never want to do vegetables in the rainy season again. |

Ironically, the dry season gives more plantains. I can visibly count plantain heads shooting out everywhere. I should be expecting a bountiful harvest come 1st quarter of 2025. |

Yampotatocarrot: Please, how are the seeds sold in the market, na by counting?
I don find Ugu seed tire, I no see... Even had to send someone to ile-epo market, no show... Although I'm more interested in the other vegetables than ugu With reference to Ugu, I get my seeds at Bolade market in Oshodi. She brings the seeds all the way from Calabar. But it's been awhile I contacted her. I do have another plug who helps out when I get too lazy to the bookings myself. And for the vegetables seeds, I do buy majorly at LASU Igando road, where you have most of the farmers annexed to Lasu fence farming. You'll get good quality seeds there. |

How is there poults? Please I want to know this. Thanks. That's a while ago. I don't have any turkeys 🦃 presently on the farm. On the success rate? Well, out of the 10 eggs laid back then, only two hatched. Do the maths on the success rate |

A lot of people are suffering from hidden hunger nowadays and major part of it is insufficient intake of animal protein. Two eggs per day will go a long way. Good thing I have very proud neighbors ooo...hahahahahaha!!! Shame no go allow them collect eggs from me. Lol I have this Fulani friend of mine that buys from me from time to time to use in his Noodles business. I even get free late night meals occasionally. |

Totally free-ranged on the farm and they are doing excellently well. An average of 20 eggs per day from the 30 birds.
