Day 21 Zero Mortality...(405 chicks very much in tact) 2nd Gumboro Vaccination Administrating the 2nd IBD this morning. The chicks have been doing superfantabulous .Price of 500 doses of Gumboro N2,400 |
Jeffrey1k:I am very much active on telegram. Below is my username to contact me. @RockkLeei |
Day 18 Zero Mortality (405 chicks) Fowl Pox vaccination. Jabbing the 405 chicks was indeed one of the most tiring thing i have done so far. I just couldn't wait to get to the last one. I may or may not repeat the vaccination again jare... dem no fit kee me. |
Balloa1:I just replied you via mail. |
IamAsiri:Oopse!!! I missed this too. With few cases of infectious Corsa I have experienced, I treat organically with use of ginger, lime water and garlic etc. It works wonders. |
Pimples:Sorry for the misconceptions... the syringe is used for measurements in most cases, and it is to be used with clean water to be given to the chicks. (Simply for precise measurement to avoid waste or under medication) |
chukskafor:No naaaa My apologies. |
okoroemeka:Discourage me? Lol... He can't discourage me. It is well my brother. |
Day 15 Zero Mortality... (405 chicks) Multivitamins will be given today and tomorrow (Day 16). So far, everything seems to be going according to plan. We move!!! |
Elsudani2:Thanks for the feedback. Nevertheless, I have budgeted a total sum of N1.4million for this project. Bulk of the capital goes into feeding which i feel would have been the little challenge I may be have experienced along the way. With that sorted out, na auto cruise I dey so... See yah in 3months time. (by His Grace) |
Day 14 Zero Mortality (405 chicks) 1st Lasota was administered. The water drinks were withdrawn during the early hours of the morning to enable the little chicks increase their water when introduced with the vaccine. Note: 500 dose was given. Price: N1,800
|
Day 13 Zero Mortality (405 chicks) Same as yesterday, only water was given to the birds. Note: The chicks would have to be separated soonest. The new space isn't big enough for them any longer. I will definitely have to split them into 202/203 after tomorrow's Vaccination (1st Lasota)
|
Jamestown123:On the 3rd Bag of 25kg New Hope 320 now... |
Day 12 Zero Mortality (405 chicks) Clean water was given to the birds. No medications will be given today and Day 13. This two breaks will be followed up with both Newcastle vaccination & Fowl Pox. |
Day 11 Zero Mortality Happy Sunday to all. Continuation of the anticocci treatment is still on. In my case, I am using Diclazor. 1ml to 4litrs of water and a little addition of multivitamins. The Birds are doing excellently fine.
|
. . . Aye!!! A preferred alternative would also be Embazin forte. I so much love that anticocci drug ehn (sorry for the PR). An appropriate dosage such be used along side with multivitamins to help the chicks since they are still very young. |
Day 10 Zero Mortality (405 chicks) I will be treating them against cocci. The anticocci used is a liquid based one. This would be continued on Day 11 too.
|
Day 9 Zero Mortality. (405 Birds) With today being the 9th day, we continue with the use of the multivitamins. This will be continued till the 10th day. NOTE: After gumboro vaccination (1st IBD) yesterday, the remaining vaccinated water was properly disposed off and drinking water was given to the birds |
hopeforcharles:Same guilt gotten when I slaughter chickens for food. I totally resonate with you. |
EriMma1:Ofcos there are more than enough meats in the open market, swamp turtles, sea turtles, tortoises etc inclusive .EriMma1:Yes ooo!!! Exactly what is needed to spice up the melon soup, not also forgetting the peppersoup. You no sabi say intestine psoup dey sweet pass normal meat? |
luvgurl:I wish it works that way ![]() Then I would be the smartest living being alive this being the 310 turtle/tortoises eaten so far . Unfortunately, I dull walahi ![]() |
quenchfire:Then deny myself this yummy delicacy? ![]() Na the only meat wey I dey count for pot be this ooo! |
Step 4 Remove the scales, intestines and bile. Rinse and there you have your meat to ready to be used to Prepare your soup or meat. ADDITIONAL INFO: The turtle has 4 major parts after dissecting it.
|
Step 3 Use the cutlass to crack the edges. Put a pot of water on fire, place the cut off head of turtles in it and boil for about 20mins. This makes pulling the meat from the shell easy.
|
Step 2 After washing, turn it upside down, get a sharp knife or cutlass (a cutting tool of your choice) and a plier or something to hold onto its head to easy cutting. Once you pin the head down, simple cut it off and allow the blood to drain. NOTE: You may need an hot object to place on the flat plate. This forces the Turtle to bring out its head.
|
Step 1 Wash the Turtle very well to remove dirt from the body. Please Note: Be careful not to put your finger in the opening around the head so it doesn't snap on your finger. It could be very painful.
|
This happens to be my special way of preparing Turtles. Walahi, turtle meat sweet die... ![]() Fortunately, 5 swamp turtles would be used to Prepare; 1. Egusi soup (melon soup) 2. Peppersoup 3. Fried stew
|

Day 7 Zero Mortality, 405 chicks still intact. I administered the Superliv today. 1ml of Superliv to 4litres of clean water & that's all.
|
... other activities for the day includes; cleaning up their brooder room to reduce the amount of poop which could lead to ammonia gas build-up. Moreover, I should be visiting Alaba International Market to see if i can get a digital scale to help monitor growth. |

. Unfortunately, I dull walahi
