I'm not talking about the wars alone, Nigeria and Togo are the brains behind ECOWAS, other countries have supported ECOWAS significantly too but Nigeria's impact is greater, this shouldn't even be argued and l consider it irrelevant, l was only countering your statement on chest beating. ECOWAS makes little difference, after all a Ghanian Kofi Anan was UN Secretary, that again is fact.

but there were/are plans for a single currency but some requirements had to be met of which Nigeria is the closest to meeting even Ghana,liberia $ Sierra Leone were below bar

Nigerians in Ghana is around 1 million, mainly Igbo traders and few students who failed to get admitted to Nigeria higher institutions because of their low IQ.

Surprisingly, these dumb students will go on to become the brightest students in Ghana. This makes me to think, that the average I.Q of Ghanaians is way below average human I.Q and this makes me to think whether you guys are really humans after all

Oyo empire even covered more grounds than Benin Empire.

Mere Oyo machineries humiliated and defeated the Ashanti Kingdom.

The whole Benin Republic was under the rules and control of Oyo empire even up till Ghana border.

If Ashanti empire was sure of defeating the Oyos, they would have regrouped, reorganized and re-strategised but they chicken out and returned to avoid disaster.


Afterall, Oyo empire conquered Dahomey after few resistance.

Yet, it took a coalition of Akyem and Oyo to defeat Ashanti in a battle.

BTW, It also took the British multiple attempts to conquer Benin and many other states in Nigeria.

First of all, it was the Akyem that requested Oyo's help. It wasn't on Oyo's ground, because it was an Akyem-Ashanti conflict, but the Akyem had military boost from Oyo. It was the only way they could have won.

Second, Akyem and Dahomey were both kingdoms, not empires. Also during this time, Dahomey was an integral part of Oyo because decades earlier Oyo had already defeated and conquered Dahomey and it was absorbed into Oyo empire. Dahomey was a tribute-paying vassal state of Oyo. The Akyem knew Oyo was the only power that could rival Ashanti and help them defeat them, that was why they requested the help Alaafin's mercenaries. Either way, the battle resulted in the defeat of the Ashanti army.

A few pages back it was about empires.The kenya/ghana alliance lost woefully in that aspect then they turned it to the bleaching thing you see here which is just simply ludicrous became they've been here before and it had been proven that their countries also suffer the same malaise.One of them actually said Ashanti empire was more influential than Benin empire only to be shown that a vassal army of Oyo empire once dealt with ashanti.And another was confusing Ghana empire with the Gold coast.The kenyans lied about the periods of establishment of their tiny towns,lamu and mombasa,only to be ridiculed again.Go back a number of pages and laugh your head off.It's really a display of ignorance on their part.

unification was the dream of the true legend son of africa.kwame inkrumah and gaddafi. a good idea i think but not feasible becuse of corruption and sellfishness. from the articule i read somewhere. inkrumah suggest to balewa to acquitre benin republic while he will acquire togo land. but this siggestion was turn down by balewa. ghana was able to acquire part of togo
land which are today ewe community.

No wonder some of my Ghanian friends here were asking me to interptete some pidgin words for them even though they could speak pidgin. I was startled then, but now l know the reason why.

Ghana is a relatively small and developing country, all thanks to their population and small geographical area, I actually have friends who school and live there, so I have no problem with them, but comparing them with Nigeria is what I don't like.

Again when Ghana was brought into the discourse, there was no hate intended, But you Ghanaians have got this inferiority complex coupled with a relative hate for Nigerians for reasons I don't know, so you guys just jump into the whole scene and start dishing out insults, trust Nigerians, you don't expect them to keep mute.
