mrvitalis: Did APC get zero votes in the south east ? So u mean the efforts of those 20% means nothing ? Just asking The 80% are the enablers. The 20% should on a normal day have equal right to the ticket of APC, but right in the public glare, the people around the 20% loathes those of 80% and call them unprintable names. You as a person supported the attack on Ekeremandu because he wore Nigerian coat of arms. If you want division, tell your elected representatives to make a formal request. Stop calling people names for voting whoever they want. Learn the rudiments of civility for your own interest. I as a person prefer Nigeria breaks up, but that doesn't mean I will wish people in the east or north evil. |

Flyingngel: Afamed post:
Do you expect Jonathan camp to speak against their master? Sincerely ask yourself. In 2013 , when the court awarded fine against Nigeria for breach of contract. Why did Jonathan fail again to pay the compensation in 2013/ 2014 and 2015. And further sincerely ask yourself. Why did Yaadua / Jonathan government entered into contractual agreement in 2010 when they knew they will never honour the agreement? It was written by Omokiri himself the contract was signed in January 2010. While Jonathan became the president in May. While did he not review the contract until 2013 when a fine was imposed on Nigeria? ABI Yaadua was still the president in May 2010 down to 2013? Think before you post.
Even if GEJ did not live up to expectation but he setup a negotiation team since the money demanded by the company was too much. By the way it is written in piece that the cabal who are now Buhari's right that were instrumental to signing such useless contract while keeping a sitting vice- president in the dark. By the way why didn't Buhari paid the negotiated 850million dollars and stop going back to court? Two wrong don't make a right. Why didn't Jonathan paid the money after entering into the agreement? Can't you just see the whole thing was a charade meant to rob Nigerians? |

ejimatic: . Nigeria is divided into North and South with each subdivided into three making six geographical zones. South ruled for 8 years now North will compete 8 years in 2023.By 2023 power must shift to South. It is not negotiable. As for the region that will produce president in the south it is LIKELY the South West. It is negotiable. Though it would come to South, but not because it is a must. |

tuniski: There is rotation in democracy! Stop the narrowness. Democracy only feeds into the prevailing sentiments/emotions. Or you think parties just like fielding a religiously balanced and sectionally tickets? Stop following the herd. There is no rotation in democracy. What are you talking of is called inclusiveness. And inclusiveness demands participation, wisdom. tact and open mind. Is anybody stopping Igbos from becoming President? The first test of their worth should be from PDP, the party they have been voting since 1999. If PDP doesn't deem them worth it, why would APC or SW and North whom they see as slaves and animals respectively vote them? There is no rotation in democracy. You have to participate, have tact, be reasonable and demonstrate open heart. Just ask an average Hausa whom he preferred between an Igbo man and a Yoruba man, you will understand. Every tribe in Nigeria suffers from one injustice or the other. And Every tribe has at one time or the other aligned with another. First republic, it was a North and East alliance that formed government. Second republic it was still North and East. Third republic it was still them. Nobody called them betrayers because they didn't vote Awolowo. No, for the first term that Yorubas will align with North, they called us unprintable names. They should contest. Let's wait and see. |

i am one of the most detribalized persons on this Nairaland, yorubas too have been bitter but they choose to be bitter towards igbos just because they see us as rivals, despite the fact that we have never engage them in any form of physical confrontation yet they are just bitter yet we dont term them bitter.
I dont understand what u mean by people who accomodate u, when they dont get same treatment from u cause i will like u toexplain to me what u mean? Yorubas are not bitter about Igbos. How many times have you seen Yoruba made comments about governance at in SE? Check SE threads about Abia owing salaries, it won't reach 6 pages. Check Osun thread about same, it would reach 80 and see the major comments, from Igbos. Is Igboland an eldorado? That tells you a lot. They are fixated on Yorubas who don't even know they exist |

tuniski: The choice only becomes the nigerians' after the parties have chosen candidates. Democracy is equally rotation, it is whatever works in a clime. Had it been just number, southern Nigeria as a whole will perennially struggle to be president to no avail! The choice of party members. A party that feels appreciated by Igbos would give them the candidacy. A party that feels otherwise can do whatever it wants. There is no rotation in democracy, either have sense or get used to trash. No emotional rants about being hated when all you do is call people unprintable names everyday. |

They have the right to contest, the rest is left to Nigerians. If you want the vote of someone, talk to him, let him know how your candidature would benefit. Convince people that vote and you get it. There is no compulsion in politics. Majority carry the vote. Learn how to play politics Stop being ungrateful to people who accommodates you even when they don't get same treatment from you. Even worse, is the knack of some ibos too who have been in only their zone to scream break Nigeria as a slogan to every problem! The moniker you quoted is an IPOB and Biafra supporter. BTW, nothing bad in seeking the dissolution of Nigeria. Nigeria is not meant to be one. As much as I loathe some Igbos for their protracted bitterness, the fact is, Nigeria is a ruse. |

Osun vs Abia....
Gubernatorial election results in states where workers are being owed many months salaries.
Osun...
APC: 255,505 PDP: 255023
Abia state:
PDP – 261,127 APC – 99,574 APGA – 64,366
Add second and third positions together in Abia, not up to half of the first in a state where workers are owed much salaries...
Compare to Oyo election result and you will know the most enlightened between Osun and Abia voters. |
