NYSC / What Could You Have Done? Man Mobilized For NYSC A Month After Wedding. by Jimkab(m): 8:44pm On Jul 08, 2012
It came as a news when a friend of mine 31 years old who has been expecting a call-up letter for the one year mandatory national service since 2009 but due to error on the part of his school (as he claimed) got the call-up letter to come for camping in FCT KUBWA CAMP OF NYSC on 2nd July, 2012 exactly a month after his wedding which was held on Sat 2nd June, 2012. He tried all possible means in order to relocate back to Oyo State where he settled down with his wife but to no avail. He has no relative in FCT. He is presently in camp now in KUBWA, ABUJA, leaving a month old wife/marriage for the service believing he would be exempted or relocated. Could you have done this?

ALLAH IS SURELY OFT-FORGIVING, MOST MERCIFUL.

REFUSING TO TAKE HEED COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS, IF YOU INSIST ON SINNING, DEATH (THE NECESSARY END) CAN COME AT ANY TIME. IF SOMEONE DIE WITHOUT REPENTING. ALLAH IS SURELY SEVERE IN PUNISHMENT.

OmanIman: My father was one of the Hero's of the Biafra War! He told me firsthand stories about top Military officers who were obviously part of that war and the politics that characterized the Nigerian Army in the 70's and 80's. In 1984 when Gen.Buhari was advised to retire top military officers, most of who overthrew him and eventually held this Nation to Ransome till 1998, BUHARI was indecisive and lacked the boldness to act like a C-in-C. The Question is, if Buhari had acted like a leader, will Nigeria be where it is today? Buhari failed yesterday,Nigeria is past him and we can't go back to 1985 to get a leader for Nigeria in 2015. I like his passion but as he demonstrated in the past, a 'passionate man' does not necessarily make a 'good leader'!
P.S
MODERATOR PLS POST THIS ON FRONT PAGE SO PEOPLE CAN CONTRIBUTE AND EXPRESS THEMSELVES.THANK U

Where is your evidence of Gen. Buhari being adised and his ferusal?, who are the top military officers involve. Stop blasphemy this righteous man. Thank God you know he is a passionate man which to you doesn't make a good leader while to reasonable people, it makes a good leader. Gen Muhammad Buhari is forever a Hero in the history of the born and yet to be born generations of this country

Crime / Minister Of Science And Tech Diverts N28 Million Bribe Money, Gets $25,000 For C by Jimkab(m): 4:08pm On Jun 30, 2012
Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Okon Bassey Ewa, allegedly collected N28 Millions in Bribe and another $25,000.000 to pay for his children’s school fees abroad to facilitate the removal of the leadership at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Abuja.

This is the latest bribery scandal of a succession battle rocking NASENI.

NASENI is a parastatal under the Ministry of Science and Technology

Recall that the minister had allegedly received a jeep and N150 million from the Acting Director-General NASENI, Dr Mohammed Haruna, to enable him procure a house in Abuja with a promissory note from the Acting DG to make available N100 million when he becomes the substantive DG of the agency.

The latest scandal is yet another desperate bid by the trio of Professor Ewa, former DG of NASENI Professor Adesowo Olusegun and the Acting DG, Mohammed Haruna, to ensure that the latter secures substantive appointment.

Louis88: I loved one particular statement in the whole write up and that is"WE ARE ADDRESSING THE STRUCTURAL WEAKNESSES STANDING BETWEEN US AND REVOLUTIONALIZING THE POWER SECTOR,SOME OF THE PROBLEMS ARE DEEP BUT NOT BEYOND THE GOVT".Now that is a statement made by a realist and an intellectual, this is not some cheap politician that will just trumpet out I will give you light but does not address the basic problems.once the foundation is strong then the building will stand eternally.i still insist that this govt will clear doubt, because I have seen the approach with which they are going about the whole power thing and I can say that to the best of my knowledge they are going about everything the right way,one step at a time, doing first things first.
Give us evidences of the power things they are going about rightly. one atep forward, five steps backward. The worst president so far!

Barely six months after it has been said that buses would be given to various driver' unions across the country as part of the way of bringing relief to Nigerians after the imposed fuel subsidy removal. How far has the promised been fulfilled based on your area. Is it really true that the number claimed to have been bought is not true? or that they are not new ones. Jakumo: Elections are only open to human beings, so this question is not applicable to Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden, for he is indeed a monkey by nature, AND by genetic composition.
. Only someone who is not trustworthy would claim that our last election was free and fair with the result from the south-south and south-east. General Buhari can sincerely win a free and fair election. U have been getting the rewards of manipulated election. U are instead a baboon.

It's a beta thing to do if it's true, more of this are even still expected, especially the basic salary, may be that can be a solution to the politics of murdering. Most at times serious issues are shelved (forgotten) in that assembly, allowance's issue and throwing of chairs would be the order of the day.

I'm FCT Corps member, I've posted it once that the so-called national service is a modern slavery of the highest order. In a situation where human beings are forcefully moved from their families for hard labour in other part of the country and till 18th of the following month no payment, they are there to be starved

All days are equal but Friday is special, amke it more profitable by engaging in all sorts of good deeds, may you be among the successful ones in this world and hereafter.

My Jumat this day at my new place has not been all that interesting because the Khutbah is very brief and only in Arabic though the message is clear but it is repeated weekly, the pre-sermon lecture that varies is delvered in Hausa language only.

Mavor: Meanwhile national assembly members keep increasing their allocation every year. Rubbish corrupt country. Looking forward to the revolution that separates Christian South from Muslim North.

It's true that the polititians are enriching themselves through the so-called legal allowances and bonuses plus the illegal embezzlement, it has to be looked into if truly that of the civil servants would be reduced but to your revolution of separation, don't be making mistakes of giving the south (especially the south west) to the christians.

Religion / Re: Why I Am A Christian by Jimkab(m): 9:52pm On Aug 05, 2011
It's disappointing that you don't know what Islam is all about you decided to tarnish the image of the noblest prophet Muhammad bn Abdullah.

Allah says in Qur'an 61 vs 6 "And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allâh unto you confirming the Taurât [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed . But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic.".

That is enough to clarify things for you.
