Agriculture / The Neglected Industrious And Agricultured People Of Kaiamah LG by JimsonJaat001(m): 7:06pm On May 04, 2016 |
The Neglected Industrious and Agricultured People Of Kaiama Local Government #TouringThe16LGsOfKwaraStateWithAFAN (Jaat-Writes-Right) Welcome to undeveloped, neglected, unattended to yet prosperous and industrious Kaiama LG of Kwara state which boasts of over two thousand farmers which the government decided to turn a blind eye to. Some 4-5 hours 'bulldoze' of some eighty (80) kilometres from Saki (Irepo LG of Oyo State) or 90-100 kilometres from Ilorin(Kwara State capital) will take you there. The road was said to have been tarred in 1959,and all (recent) effort to re-tarred it has been proved abortive. It is not a gain-say when one say Kaiama Local Government is the most agricultured local government in Kwara State of Nigeria. This local government has farmers that each can,at least, boast of 12 Hectares of land (for farming). Infact he who ever that has less than 15 hectares is considered as 'a lazy farmer'. I rolled my eyes in wonderment and bewilderment when a man said he has 42 hectares and there has still people who has more! Their farm products includes Cocoa,Soya Beans,Groundnut,Kolanut,Maize,Millet,Cassava and more. A place called Kani Koko (or Kanikoko) is dedicated to farming in its totality. I come in contact with this industrious people during AFAN (All Farmers Association Of Nigeria) census of farmers which has been on since a week ago in some 11 states in Nigeria which Kwara is fortunate to be chosen (Full details of the travel coming afterwards). This people are silent millionaires of agriculture. Some 8 hours drive from Barutin local government weird our team on 28/April/2015 when we arrived there. The journey was made worse by the bad road we travelled by. They say the road is 80 Kilometres but it is like it will never end. Badness of the road was confirmed as we met a trail carrying Elubo which had had accident earlier in the day,and the traders (probably the owners of the contents has a look of unbetrayed feelings in their eyes (maybe they have get used to it). Lack of road infrastructure is 'killing' this people as they are 'cut from the outside world' (though they seem not to mind it anymore),they said their pleas to the government for some 12 years has been fallen on deaf ears. This people has the resource, they have the mandate. I personally registered an ex honourable member of The House, one Hon Ibrahim Shiya Yunus (2007-2010 Majority leader to the coucil) who is a farmer (an honourable farmer!),he said there are two more honourable at the waiting seats who also farmers too. Even the head of a community,Aboki Village, declares he pays not less than two million naira every years to his labourers. Except for the road and instability in market price, the Kaiama people remains the most contented agricultured people of all time. Blessed Are The Travellers For They Shall Be Called The Tale Bearers. He was there when Melzedek blessed Abraham He was there when Melzedek made Jesus a priest Wasn't he there when prophecy, praises and songs flow from the writer of Psalm? He was there,he was a witness 'cos he has taken the risk. He was there when the walls of Jericho fell He burned the night candle with Daniel,Isaiah and Isralites when writing the scrolls So many of History he wishes to tell He has made himself a nasty reader,a master to fools. So little sleep,so many readings; he went out of his mind Mothers cite and sight him as a tree of knowledge His midnights' laughs made neighbours shakes heads in disgust of a kind He is always in trance in days, and swims in books at night, all in sake of knowledge. He almost got the full picture of Muhammad,he swears on his proposed tombstone All because Knowledge fully feed him the history in her feeble years He discusses thin things and speaks as if a witness of people that are near to tombstone Scribes, scholars, philosophers of ancient days are all his friends. He accused Bible of ingrate 'cos his name is absent among stones setters under Jordan when it dried, Didn't he mentioned he was a witness of occurrence of seven sleepers of Ephesus? He said it and more 'cos by he keeps books that feed by his side Of Elisha and Elijah and Ezekiel and Jonah, and Jews and Jesus. Gold and silver were scarce when he was begotten, his was pewter, Lost both parents,he always feel a tinge of sadness when he remembers, Or when friends rapport, mentioned, laud and discuss parentship in their encounter, Yet his feeling is sanguine,he never gave way to unavailing sadness. He hid under the table on which John write the revelation, He know of sixteen elders that stand four-four at the four cardinal corners of the globe, Knowledge is his penniless prize for the price of eagerness, and hunger, interest and his obsession A Sololmon among his kind, they cloth him in wisdom' robe. All because he chooses to be a nasty reader, The beginning of Nile, the end of seas, his books carry him like sea-craft He has been labelled as a MAD writer He positively said it means Making A Difference in his penkraft. He drew General Washington to the sight of the angel he saw, angel Orion He fought and lost with his kinsman during the dark continent colonial struggle He was there,he knows it all, even things that precessed him in his foetal which is oblivion, Like a war general,he was among planners of Adolf and British struggle. Amidst criticism, discrimination and mocking laughs he rises - As grand as the sun he wants to be Aquinas,Homer,Pluto,Galilei have acknowledged him,Copernicus sends regards An intermediary between worlds he wants to be Blindly he goes, not minding Jezebel and Delilah- daughters of Eve trying to flock his both sides. He always said: 'a product of one God and five thousand teachers is me' An ever loyal student of the wack and depressed teacher called Knowledge - He belongs Indian Jaat That nasty reader is me I write from The Desk Of Insanity: That Prospective scholar is Jimson Jaat. - Jimson Jaat Taofik (Indispensable Jaat) |
Literature / Poem: Don't Stand By My Grave And Weep! by JimsonJaat001(m): 12:33am On Apr 08, 2016 |
Life is an empty dream, For all souls will die and slumber, And would wake to watch film Of past deeds and be like a dreamer. Pounds of pains will puncture heart, Hearts will explode like a thunder, When deeds done is full of sinful heart Minds will melt, spirit will splinter. I will wash away my sins with words, To be forgiven for mischief, But,if stains deeply dyed in concrete colours, And move my faint heart with grief. I am the master of my fate, Yet worries terminate my tranquillity, Cos records will be traced to the last date, Verily, all jollity of life is futility. I am the captain of my soul, And one day,I will travel to eternal land and sleep, There,I would reap what I sow, So,don't stand at my grave and weep! - Busy-Brain Re-broadcast - Jimson Jaat Taofik Indispensable Jaat 1 Like

Literature / Poem: This Is Not The World by JimsonJaat001(m): 5:50pm On Mar 18, 2016 |
The world is waking up at an unknown crowded street in a city, Seeing different people of statues, culture and principles, People of different views, creation and religion, Everyone and everybody do everything to prove his root, Sillions of questions wave the sea of heart at this scenery of life, Septillion of unfulfilled questions unsteady my mind, But they say do not ask too much to every question of me, However,I used to wonder,is there more to this psycho? Ha! I see it; as clear as crystal, The glamorous part is not the world, The life I see everyday on screens is as far as Everest to the earth from being real, The illuminating lights I am seeing roadside is not the world, The world is not bales of currency, Dramatis Personae satric it to me, But that is not the world. Literature mirrors it to me; Science base it on conjunctions Philosophy says it is as it looks- no corners,no secrets, Commercial people says he who has money has it all, Church says it is for but till the messiah come To evaporate true worshipper into good heavens And leave the sinful ones to witness the destruction of this present life. Mosque says life is but a test; Test in ourselves, our wealth and our health, Drama campaigns it to be a tragedy plus comedy, Clowns humour me as if life is all joke yet it is not, Some studies say we are in recycle, come to life to re-come, But I would believe that when I re-come to life, and still recognise myself, Life is neither mime no comedy not tragedy nor opera nor tragi-comedy of any shape. Life is not what it looks to you Yours is to strive for goodness, value and success, But the goddess of fortune is busy in her mischief Allocating the already dedicated script to whoever it may concern Though seem to be part of,but man is never part of it, For man is in his sleep of ages, while the goddess is at her wheels. I say: life is funny, life is not, life is a fool, life is not, life is free, life is not, The world is at it is to you, Yours is what world present as life to you, What life has been to you is The World, your world, No friends,no companion,no one to complain to,because he who suppose to be is in another world, It is like being locked up in a cell of no escape, My world is my life. In your world, you are the author, you are the pen, You are the performer, you are the audience, You are the student, you are the teacher. Life is but a sexy woman, seducing me to un-wrap her wrappers late at night, I must bear with whatever I meet underneath when the urge has bring the water near, I convey the message, blessings be upon me, From the very first of messenger, till The Messiah, and after me. - Jimson Jaat Taofik Indispensable Jaat 2 Likes |
Education / Alarming Situation Of Oke-ogun Polytechnic,shaki:. To What Can I Ascribe This? by JimsonJaat001(m): 8:30am On Mar 12, 2016 |
I was forced to write this because we can't just fold our arms and watch these men behave like gods because we came to seek knowledge in their own lands. They are just ripping off our money without showing anything tangible achievement since they've been granted autonomy. The only thing they could do is to just violate the right of student. Here goes the list of some of their immoral, illiterate, illegal acts. 1. Each student paid and additional fee of #1500 (Internet access) #900 (5 days health insurance) last year. That's whooping sum of #2,400,000 per 1000 student (student population is over 5x according to the school website). This amount alone is to power the internet access of New York for 3 good months. Yet we are all denied access to this after paying that amount. 2. The rector and the school management bodies, directors behaved like clot poles the way they handled defaulters of tuition fee. No sane educated man will behave as they all did with this issue. They invited armed forces of the Nigerian army to harass defaulter. Our soldiers stooped so low to honour the invitation of this educated illiterates. I'm not surprised this lead to a riot. That serves them right because there's nowhere in any constitution that support this acts. They are scholars but they didn't behave like one. 3. The total tuition for the department that has the lowest population of student is the MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS department. The total tuition fee of this department is #7,000,000/ 200 students. Withall this amount the school didn't provide educational materials to them. There was even a time a whole dean of a faculty asked students in one department like that to contribute #10 each to buy markers before he could teach them. So, where's the tuition fee? What are they using it for? I urge the Oyo state government to take a critical look at this situation before it goes outta hand because they are running this institution with the mindset that they can behave anyhow in their own land. Lastly, I will like to report a case. The local vigilantes with loaded guns are all around the school for reasons I don't know yet. Please help us to ask our governing body what they are using these men for before they start killing students. . Written by: A concerned student. (Reference: Mayowa Oladele) |

Who is this man?....Meet Brian Deacon the man who acted Jesus..is it right to worship his pictures? In the 1979 Jesus movie, the first movie that was Firmed to tell the story of Jesus according to the gospel of luke. The movie was directed by Peter Sykes, John Kisch etc. Brian Deacon played the role of Jesus christ. Today it is not uncommon to see people hanging Brian Deacon picture in their house, car, shop, church etc some even put it in their private family altars and other places of warship to d extent that Brian Deacon picture has now been mistakenly taken as something that can protect one from evil where as it cannot. Even the new generation don't even know that the face they see is not the true picture of Jesus but that of Brian Deacon. I know some people will say it served as a reminder but i tell u that u don't need a picture of Brian Deacon to remind u of Jesus as no Moslem can show u the picture of Mohammed yet they respect him and do not need to be reminded by another person picture. Same with Buddah followers, they don't have another person picture to remind them of Buddah. So for those who have been worshipping the picture of Brian Deacon, is it right? what ur your opinion.Muslim say Astagfirullah for taking this man as prophet Issa —

Politics / Definition Of Biafra's Conqueror: Obasanjo...all Hail Baba Tha Baba! by JimsonJaat001(m): 3:26pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
OLUSEGUN OBASANJO has, no doubt, done good and evil to Nigeria. He is an evil you must run away from and an angel you must embrace. Put him inside a deep freezer, he will come out so hot but whenever he comes out of an oven, he will be freezing cold! Commander of the Third Marine Commando who merely killed the civil war elephant with his cap, whereas, others have been shooting for months.......the first time he ruled Nigeria, it was because Murtala died, the second time he ruled, it was because Abiola died........Murtala and Abiola were good friends.........He has never used his personal fund or efforts to get anything. They always call him. The first time he wanted it on his own effort, third term failed woefully! Trust him, he denied it, despite all that we saw, his song concerning third term has always been "It wasn't me"......Baba Na you! He is the first military man in Nigeria, if not Africa, to hand over to a civilian in what looked like a democratic setting. The whole World celebrated him, he became the UN think tanker, he almost became UN Secretary General but it was his wish, his personal wish always get K leg. Wole Soyinka wrote tens of pettitions against him to stop the UN from producing him, it took the intervention of MKO Abiola, who postrated flat for Soyinka at the Sheraton Hotels, begged him to allow a Nigerian win the UN secrteary general........Soyinka said he was scared, seeing an Aare Ona Kakanfo postrating for him, he stopped further pettitions but the damage has already been done, OBJ never recovered! OBJ successor in 1979 was a disaster economically and politically, Shagari government was the beginning of acute poverty in the land. Buhari saved us from OBJ's wrong choice. In 2007, OBJ repackaged another disaster. He is also the first civilian ruler who handed over to another civilian in our history. But his choices were worse than before. He packaged a medically dead man as the president and mentally dead semi man as his deputy......Nigeria almost went down to the grave. We were robbed totally, we were killed and maimed.......once again, Buhari came to his aid, saved us, once again, from OBJ wrong choices!!!! Everyone wants him on their side. Enemies and friends, husband and wives......SInce 1979, no one has ever won the presidential election without OBJ'S obvious support!!!!!!! He can destroy, he can build. He can steal, he can fight stealing. A writer of books and letters.......lover of women. Give him pounded yam and palm wine, you have finished him. A great entertainer, master of words, great finisher. Always demanding for relevance, you can't ignore him successfully. He is like Peter, one of The disciples of Jesus. Jesus once told Peter and said "Get thee behind me ye devil", another time he told Peter, he said "Peter, you are the rock upon which I will build my church...." Ase buruku se'rere! He is indeed an Ebora...... I wish this illustrious son of Nigeria, The Balogun of Owu, the Bulldozer of his enemies, a happy 79th birthday. May you live long and long, in good health and prosperity! Fire is the pride of a hunter Blood is the pride of potent medicine Facing the battle without fear is the pride of a man I salute the commander of the 3rd Marine Commando The man on whose feet, Biafra fell like a pack of crumbling cards. Religion / Powerful Story: Don't Miss Sala't by JimsonJaat001(m): 8:28am On Mar 06, 2016 |
He remembered his grandmother’s warning about praying on time…. “My son, you shouldn’t leave prayer to this late time." His grandmother’s age was 70 but whenever she heard the Adhan, she got up like an arrow and performed Salah / Namaz / prayer. He however could never win over his ego to get up and pray. Whatever he did, his Salah wasalways the last to be offered and he prayed it quickly to get it in on time. Thinking of this, he got up and realized that there were only 15 minutes left before Salat-ul Isha. He quickly made Wudhuand performed Salat-ulMaghrib. While making Tasbih, he again remembered his grandmother and was embarrassed by how he had prayed. His grandmother prayed with such tranquility and peace. He began making Dua and went down to make Sajdahand stayed like that for a while. He had been at school all day and was tired…so tired. He awoke abruptly to the sound of noise and shouting. He was sweating profusely. He looked around. It was very crowded. Every direction he looked inwas filled with people. Some stood frozen looking around, Some were running left and right and some were on their knees with their heads in their hands just waiting. Pure fear and apprehension filled him as he realized where he was. His heart was about to burst. It was the Day of Judgment. When he was alive, he had heard many things about the questioning on the Day of Judgment, but that seemed so long ago. Could this be something his mind made up? No, the wait and the fear were so great that he could not have imagined this. The interrogation was still going on. He began moving frantically from people to people to ask if his name had been called. No one could answer him. All of a sudden his name was called and the crowd split into two and made a passageway for him. Two people grabbed his arms and led him forward. He walked with unknowing eyes through the crowd. The angels brought him to the center and left him there. His head was bent down and his whole life was passing in front of his eyes like a movie. He opened his eyes but saw only another world. The people were all helping others. He saw his father running from one lecture to the other, spending his wealth in the way of Islam. His mother invited guests to their house and one table was being set while the other was being cleared. He pleaded his case, “I too was always on this path. I helped others. I spread the word of Allah. I performed my Salah. I fasted in the month of Ramadan. Whatever Allah ordered us to do, I did.Whatever he ordered us not to do, I did not." He began to cry and think about how much he loved Allah. He knew that whatever he had done in life would be less than what Allah deserved and his only protector was Allah. He was sweating like never before and was shaking all over. His eyes were fixed on the scale, waiting for the final decision. At last, the decision was made. The two angels with sheets of paper in their hands, turned to the crowd. His legs felt like they were going to collapse. He closed his eyes as they began to read the names of those people who were to enter Jahannam/Hell. His name was read first. He fell on his knees and yelled that this couldn’t be, “How could I go to Jahannam? I served others all my life. I spread the word of Allah to others," His eyes had become blurry and he was shaking with sweat. The two angels took him by the arms. As his feet dragged, they went through the crowd and advanced toward the blazing flames of Jahannam. He was yelling and wondered if there was any person who was going to help him. He was yelling of all the good deeds he had done, how he had helped his father, his fasts, prayers, the Quran that he read, he was asking if none of them would help him. The Jahannam angels continued to drag him. They had gotten closer to the Hellfire. He looked back and these were his last pleas. Had not Rasulullah [saw] said, “How clean would a person be who bathes in a river five times a day, so too does the Salah performed five times cleanse someone of their sins?"He began yelling, “My prayers? My prayers? My prayers?" The two angels did not stop and they came to the edge of the abyss of Jahannam. The flames of the fire were burning his face. He looked back one last time, but his eyes were dry of hope and he had nothing left in him. One of the angels pushed him in,he found himself in the air and falling towards the flames. He had just fallen five or six feet when a hand grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back. He lifted his head and saw an old man with a long white beard. He wiped some dust off himself and asked him, “Who are you?" The old man replied, “I am your prayers." “Why are you so late! I was almost in the Fire! You rescued me at the last minute before I fell in." The old man smiled and shook his head. “You always performed me at the last minute and did you forget?" At that instant, he blinked and lifted his head from Sajdah. He was in a sweat. He listened to the voices coming from outside. He heard the adhan for Salat-ul-Isha. He got up quickly and went to perform Wudhu. |

Literature / Lost In London by JimsonJaat001(m): 7:37pm On Mar 01, 2016 |
I was a guest at a home in some land My hosts,a couple, were painted black white by nature Heard that they have a lad,I asked of him They say he has gone to listen to the city Amidst our te te-ate,a phone ringeth Alas! It was their son; Mama motherly ask: "son,we were muted when our guest ask of you" Where have you been?'' "Mother!" the son lamented, somersault his mother's question "I am lost in London" he simply said "How...how could that be?" The woman tautologised "This is Britain!" The father sat as confidence as justice while I grasp in wonder land. "Mother,I remember stepping out of door in the morning Then I pick my dress at Thailand I chose the footwear I wear in Dubai It is then I remember that I am yet to bath" ''Such a dirty thing you are, son,"the mother scolded He continued: "I off the dressings and dwell in Nile....." "I am surprised to resurrect like Lazarus from Missisipi Oh mother! I am as busy as Muhammad As active as Da Vinci since my departion in the morrow, For instance: Pyramid told me to hurry,I did and met them at bowing position in Makkah Wanted to join them, but I learnt I must first learn ablution in the Holy City of Jerusalem" ''When we finished,I turned and said: salam aleikum to The Stone of Unity in the deen I turned to see a monk looking scornful at me What did I do?,I asked He mimed me to take a look at ways of Gautama Buddha,Prophet Zoroaster Wanted to do as said when Jehovah Witness pulled me behind to preach the word of Messiah Well...Mother,I did obeisance to them all." ''Such a tedious timid task it must have been for thee, son'' "The most stressful and brainstorming I ever participated in,I must confess You need to see how near to death I was, like Mungo when I was walking out of Sahara Mother, all because I am lost in London" ''Yet,son, where are you now?'' "I remember I just depart from The Hanging Garden I was directed there when I behold The Great Wall,The Dragon Gate and The Colossus in awe Mother, did you ever heard of a forbidden place? Well here, they have a place called The Forbidden Kingdom" "Does that spell you are in China,The Celestial Empire?" "Can't say mother, can't say.For instance: I have visited William Pitt,Jenny Lind,Democritus,St. Bonaventura amidst many, I visited and wept at the graves of Teresa,Ezrah, and the bard of Avon,Shakespeare As travelous as winds I have been As inspired idiot as Oliver Goldsmith I seem to be Oh! Also I pay respect to The Wisest fool in christendom,I mean King James 1." "Mother,I am now an intelligentsia: Homer taught me poetry,Chaucer polish my English,Herodotus teach me History Alas! I am still learning rope of novel writing from Giovanni Boccaccio in Alhambra Hippocrates learned me a medicine for white plague when she seized me Sebastian Bach sings songs to my sick sole soul Aquinas and John Ray collaborated to teach me Moral Philosophy in Natural History." "Where are you now, son'' his mother snarled. "After been a guest of Zwingli,Martin Luther,Alfred Nobel and more After Pax wish me piece of peace,Uranus wish me heaven,Apollo give me Music After Ate saved my heart from infatuation in mask of love Oh Mother! Knowledge is a too voluminous thing Finally,I am at your very doorstep" She rushed to the entrance door, switch knob to behold her son: He wears agbada on an Indian trousers, his footwear has a writing in Chinese on it I guess he has changed the initial mentioned clothings at some place "Mother,I am home, same body of different intestine'' He announced I said: ''Young man, your Gulliveric travels reminds me of Dark Continent of lost ancestry'' He tittered and replied me: "You got it,sir and......" Literature / Poem: Death,be Not Proud by JimsonJaat001(m): 3:30pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
One day,I know I would be on yesterday's record My body will answer the call of nature One day,the water will settle in the pot And a pound of flesh in me will know peace from its job. One day,my breath will escape me My mortal body will show its true colour I know I would go on an unreturned journey I know I would be cast and closed into the very earth by my beloved. One day,I would be planted like a tuber of yam One day,the belly of earth will be open to consume me On that day,I know not who truly shed tears in my cause For that day,I know not which fiend foe friend to keep. I know that the fire will know peace when the disturber is gone Yes! Suddenly the veils are drawn Hey! The accurate time-keeper it is you I address What happen next after your mischief? After I leave my body of imperfection and hug my soul that is, I ask you: what more you do after my soul is made a wanderer? When my world is end, when you stop me and my things. What more mischief can you do? When you stop me like my processors, hack me like my ancestors When you stop me amidst business and scenery of life, Oh Death,be not proud * This poem is in respect to John Donne, the poet who wrote: Death,be not proud.I was nicknamed John Donne in antonomasia to the real John because I was told that my writings are mostly about momento mori (death) like him. - Jimson Jaat Taofik (Master Jaat) |

Life become so comfortable for woodcock Dye town,he is made a king Life become so accomodative for Aluko,he was made king in camwood town Chameleon become an owner of numerous colourful clothes when life be at ease for him Peacock is laud among his kind,he is made custodian of all birds One is made a king when he is honoured most Partridge climbs ridges in the farm And keep saying: it is not difficult,it is not difficult Alas! How wouldn't know when the table will turn against him He wouldn't see,he couldn't fortell;he will juts meet himself in the trap set by the farmer Bat dared do the abomination; he is neither of animal nor bird kind Monkey dared do the abomination; he is half-man,half-animal So is the oracle revelation of bigness that was meant for elephants. - Jimson Jaat Taofik |
Literature / Poem: Looking For Happiness by JimsonJaat001(m): 3:38pm On Feb 13, 2016 |
Have been meditation, but that reveals no answer Asking around, but who has answer to my request? Wondering what triggers it,or what are its determinants Is it in high hills,or beneath the rivers? I ask: where is Happiness? In knowledge or in foolhardy? Among crowd or when my oneself is addressing oneself? At the start of Atlantic or at the end of Nile? Ha,search me as far as valley of kings But where is that thing that soothes minds? Does it break with days or come with dawns? Dry Nile, dry! Maybe it is in the very sand that serve your beneath Uplift Everest, let me see its beneath suppose it is there Dismantle pyramids, suppose it is kept there. Among friends,I will get what content my mind? Among family, relatives and beloved will I find what give me inner peace? Don't know if it is in the touches of cozy hands of my lover In water and food I take,in air I daily bath in,in congregation is it? What make lark to be as happy as that I don't know where to find it. Not even the hole or stick in between my partners' thins Neither in bed clothes we wrap ourselves doing the thing in Not even among the multitude of people I feel naïve,innocent and sense of non-belonging to their world Among the congregation, everyone lord his world. In richness,I find over-ambition and incontentment Among friend,I find back-biting and betrayal As beauty has life cycle of tomatoes- green-early stage,red- prime and rotten-end! Among lovers I find heart breakings, disappointments and unfaithfulness In life,I find nothingness. In opposite sex,I find lust I find envy among playmate I find misery among the poor Among mates,I find hypocrisy In between my kind,I find jealousy. The world wirls wirl by,wouldn't I feel happiness before the last minute come? The inner peace, where thou hideth? I try to think and thought and rethink it in me In torment or making people happy I find happiness Or is it in secrecy, hypocisy and or sycophancy? - Jimson Jaat Taofik (Indispensable Jaat) |
Literature / Poem:envy by JimsonJaat001(m): 11:17pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
Sitting at the corner-most corner muttering something inaudible Quietly walk as if the earth will shake beneath him The gods' establishment of wizdom thou art A stage which cannot be achieved by any world act Can I ever wait till I will be called a grand parent? Envy! It shows in my eyes,as glass it transparent. I envy you Oh you man who has seen season upon season Years upon years Making me thinketh the gods art not fair You said you wish this age can be,for you to know youth again, can be share But I tell you;this age you own it,you own it alone, not between two brothers it can be tear. He who turns himself from the gay game for the fear of his stickly legs He wouldn't dare show his face among the youth for he fears his wrinkles will betray him He who wals about with three legs, haggard and staggered he walks He who feels uneasy when dry, cracked stick is spoken of in the fables He who shrink at the sound of war,who I heard was as warlike as wolf in his days How whose compound now fill with children and children's children like bees You have witness the rise and the fall and the might and the weakness of yesteryears' heroes You who is not a stranger to occurences, but a twin of yesterday's events Will I stay atop the soil as you? Will I see more days, what the wizdom folly of Humanity as you? Can I last till my eyes withdrawn in from the scenery of the world as you? As wise as Solomon they call you. Let me tell his biography, his axiom of places, experiences, wizdom he encountered I wonder where those two giddy legs have carried you to before they becomes three I hope: to the end of seas To the end of the oceans I guess Your words,we know, will always be back with wizdom, intelligence and experience A bag of knowledge that I become as witless as a jackdaw in his presence. Ha! Let me sing encomium for him for I know it will soon be second by dirge Yes,for I know this drama will soon end in tragedy Gentle as fawn,as grand as Greek statues,as grey as time They listen when thou talk,a new palm wine of intelligence, not the yesterday same As weak as water yet as strong of spirit as Iron; body and spirit not rhyme Thou art decidous as human but, also perennial, thou hast Agent Death at your tame. - Jimson Jaat Taofik (Master- Jaat) |
Literature / Poem:there Was A Country (attributed To Chinua Achebe's Work: There Was A Countr by JimsonJaat001(m): 2:35pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
At a moonlight story time,I asked father for a story Seem unwilling,I shook a leg of his in sheer persuasion 'Father',I said,'I know you are hearing me' 'For you are not in trance nor in meditation state' And when he really told me of a story of the land,I asked if he meant it, Did all these happened in this land but leaves no trace? He told me: son, free education once happened in this land Free care at hospitals with effective drugs Almost free food, less tedious works, almost free everything I asked: are you sure it is this very land or another world? Where are those sweet things, are they gone with yesterday? That world of yours I know not,but I picked my pen and write thus: There was a country Where corruption is as regular as sun rise Where Justice is dead, buried yesterday Where bribery is the gate-pass Where hospitals are mortuary in vogue Where roads are graves, consuming everyday There was a country Where black gold is the resource Where Queen Mercy is dethroned Where Democracy is really crazy Where people believe in the never-come promise land Where brothers driving his kins to fifth slavery Where hunger blind the common man in the street Where the wise are shut up and their opposite are speaking Where sailors boast of doing far more than Penicillin for Humanity Where,in their own land, they live in shackles and chains Where people always fall for the same trick of different cover Where the smells of the stinking street and its stinking worker make the stinking country to be more stinky Where people are displines of the ancient Lazarus Where people remember the past good sailors in their sweet dreams Where eternity, the sailors always say,is not enough to build a plank bridge Where Power drowse the sailors Where, they keep asking the sailors,is the promised Cannan you promised? Where is the Life Paradise people were promised? I know a country Where chop-make-I-chop is the system Where people always wait for sword of Damascles over them Where they always re-come To tell their people that they were born without no spoon Then,I asked: father, was I born with one? - Jimson Jaat Taofik |
Literature / Poem:the Life (catalogue Of My Thoughts) by JimsonJaat001(m): 9:33am On Feb 05, 2016 |
The Life (The Catalogue Of My Thoughts) Firstly,I first arrived Like the sun peeping through the walls of the sky Little and steady,I learn my ways Steadily and firmly, the realities hit me hard And....wait,what is this place? As the accurate time-keeper will always come when he will As the sting of Death lasts a life-time and what will stable the unstability of my unstable Heath? As Sickness make me bed-stinking As Love perfect the imperfect life in my sight As Lust hide behind the curtains to torment me so As Knowledge reveal myself to my veryself self As Pride make me to compare myself with the gods As Humble will always eat the sweetest fruit As Feelings will always weakening me. As Memories are like imageries As Beauty Fades everyday As Success is the head of family: failure an orphan As my wishes can never reserve the Hands of Time As my sweat don't determine my pyramid-like fortune As Sleep only make me forget this war-place momentarily As my body always wants to be soak in water and honey As my laughs rings in the yesterday As my mouth will never be grateful for the meal of yesterday How,how will I fight the supernatural Forces o know not? As Grief always want me early in grave As Pains hunts me into the very soul As Imperfection is in my very blood As Anger is a junior brother to Madness As Patience cook stone to softness As the mysteriousness of mysterious things will always be mystery As I sleep with uncertainty of the neighbour future As I am older than Yesterday,Today my mate and Tomorrow is a day older As I come with naught and will go with it What, then,is the meaning of my labour and restlessness? As another man is coming tomorrow to deny my existence,to build his castle on my very tomb As one man's cocoyam is another's food As some are born with golden spoon: others with wooden cup Ai! Where are the riches of yesterday? Where are the friends I spent yesterday with? Why is problems always at my abode's backyard? Why is it that what I see not, know not is septillion to what I know? What worth keeping? What is losing value that worth throwing away? I pray you, what Mathematical equation will balance your imbalance equation? Why are you a rotational organism? Like I am under the Colossus of Apollo, must I be always lookin you up so? Toiling me,tell me,is that your fantasy? Like a drum: you face some, turn back to others What armour, what weapon will I fight this battle with? Daily,I must run daily to meet my daily bread Hun! Another man is always coming tomorrow to do it better than I did Chai! Where are my goals, aims plus objectives once I breath my last? Who will curest thou of thy sickness? So little time,so much to do with my fragile body! Why are you of unequal term? Life! What is you? A life of many worlds House of no rest Home of tears and gnashing of teeth Catalogue of sorrow and doom The orgin of unequality A place of uncertainty A field of Battle A pit of Tribulations Oh Life! Thou hast beautiful lie! - Jimson Jaat Taofik (Master Jaat) |
