NigeriaKitchen:And you've been all around the country to ascertain the fact that the rice production in the country is not real I suggest. You really don't need to trust the politicians based on past experience, but I urge you to create a space in your heart cos whether you like it or not, if not you, it'll be ur relative that'll occupy that position, and when the time comes, am sure you'll be forced to believe. Just saying!!! |
Oildichotomy:It's not about giving praises, it's about appreciation. And YES if a government is appreciated for doing his job diligently, it's okay to appreciate their effort. Simply because they are voted in to serve us does not mean they should not be appreciated. They are humans too and not robots, they deserve our appreciation. They are not slaves, and even slaves deserve appreciation. And to the rice in question, it's appreciated because it's our own, produced from our soil on our land until proven otherwise which am sure you don't have your facts to prove it not been ours. For the price, if we buy our made in Nigeria rice higher than imported commodity, i'll say it's a plus to our economy. For God sake, when are we goin to stop this over dependence on imported goods mentality? Someone will come and say it's not quality, pls how do you judge quality? The ones you call quality that are imported, are they from Mars or another planet. If our products are not quality yet and you refuse to patronize them, when are we going to improve to make them the quality ones. When we don't patronize our made in Nigeria goods, how do we encourage self-employment, hardwork, self dependence, self fufillment, grown economy and other good tidings of the act. We have a long way to go if we keep sitting in a corner and misleading and derailing paths to good and a brighter future. Efforts, brains, creativities and ideas invested in this lots should be channeled to ones that'll add to the greatness of the country. It'll help the country, our community and ourelves a great deal. Our country will be great again. God bless Nigeria. |
magicminister:There's no denial in the context of the write-up, it's just a statement of defense. From the write-up, the writer acknowledge the existence of the video and all its content are explanatory enough. We are always very happy hearing bad news. Nigeria will be very great again, and it start from us. NB: I'm no defending anybody here, just so we can be less sentimental with issues. |
idupaul:An initiative of Mr. Adesina (Jonathan) continued by Mr. Audu Ogbe (Buhari), it simply means there's continuity, if it's even Mr. Adesina's initiative anyways. It's continuity and it's what we want and expect in the country. Appreciate good works and shy away from unnecessary bigotry, derogatory, unnecessary criticism and unfounded sentiments. As if if the rice comes to market it's not you Nigerians that will enjoy it. |
tuniski:Why won't people ask? When have they stopped asking? When will they ever stop? Even when sometimes it stares them in their faces. Did we say Jonathan did anything during his regime? No, and we voted him out, only to come back and start asking for his return to the Aso Rock. When are we goin to be satisfied as a nation, NEVER, because we are Oliver Twist, always asking for more. We need an orientation shift for the better. If we by actions of the past not believe in the present or the future, then when are we going to grow? When they say change begins with you, it doesn't really need to be a party slogan, it's just the actual and real truth. Let's change the way we think and asses things and stop being myopic in our reasoning. A nation cannot change if it continues to dwell in the past, especially with negative thoughts filled in the minds of its citizens. It'll be well and it starts from within our skull. |
Tallesty1:Lol...that's EPIC ![]() |
Emassive:Really He has done nothing to make things change Not even a thing C'mon. I'm sure you didn't mean that. That I won't agree at all. Please be very less sentimental, that things are not favorable around now does not mean it was like that before. Nothing in the world last forever, not even good times, it swings. We are experiencing harsh times now does not mean the government is not or has not done nothing. C'mon, I really don't buy that, i'm not a politician, but ridiculing ones work based on sentiments is not the best, just put yourself in the shoes of the leaders and a follower come out point blank to say you've not done anything after five years in office. I'm sure you won't be encouraged. How was he able to be voted back ot office if he didn't do anything @all...oh i'm sure the response will be that there was rigging...which we all know it's a blatant lie. Please let's keep sentiments apart and learn to appreciate the works of our leaders, criticism is important but it should be constructive. We as followers now will need it in the nearest future and you can't get back what you can't or don't give. And I don't think it's necessary to continue this conversation if your resolution remains the current dispensation has done nothing. Thank you! |
The earlier the presentation, the faster the approval and the earlier the implementation process will kick off. The 2016 budget is been implemented as majority of the capital projects are ongoing. Recurrent expenditure is also been made too. But they are done steadily and concurrently. And it'll continue its implementation alongside the 2017 cos it's still within its calendar year of implementation. Road constructions, agricultural productions, railway constructions, mining sector also in works, power sector uptimization, social interventions etc. The hardship in the land is just very much, it's very clear, but we will get out of it. It's just a matter of time. God bless our country. |
Emassive:Well we view things from different angle, I won't say the present dispensation in Oyo State have not done anything cos @least the people in Iseyin will continue to give him praise, the areas he's constructed roads in Ibadan will thank him, and the peaceful atmosphere which have driven the likes of me to retain their stay in Ibadan will also applaud his work. Whether it's believable or not, Ibadan is gradually moving from a civil servant area to a more private business driven point. It's very evidential. I'm sure you will agree with me that the Ibadan or Oyo state of today is not the same as 4yrs ago. Our arguments should just be full of facts void of sentiments. Am sure you understand that too. |
Emassive:Lol...he's tried his best, I just wish he completes all the ongoing projects. I know with what he did to Ibadan, a lot of good things have happened, although it's heartbreaking that he didn't make the LG election happen. Continuity is the only way forward in the country or any country, doesn't really matter the political party as long as it's not a dollard and the ideology of the new administration goes in line with the former. It's well in our country. |
Vikkie14:Lol...local or international champion, at least one is a champion. We all want to be international champions...how funny because most of our wishes are only theoretical in nature cos most of them are almost next to impracticable. To the thread and your response. The Nigeria we are today...hmmmm...as much as we cherish education, business is coming the order of the day ooo. Invest the money into business...**wait first before i'm torn apart**, by investing in the business, you'll have had your plans...then after sometimes of yield in your business, you can further with your education. You don't need to start education instantly with the money, and don't get it twisted, there are people in school and also working. It depends on how smart one is. And how much you can handle the pressure. Before you can do that though, there must have been something in your head. My argument is based on the fact that **one wants to further in education** means you have had something before. |
It's so simple, if you think the pay is small, or the registration and verification is taking forever...the announcement is too much. Just wait for a job with a better pay with less noise (if there's any visible) or keep mute and create one by yourself (100% visible and feasible). |
Masterdeking:You have a point here, but the same is been done to permanent job seekers in the other government parastatals. If you as a civil servant does not have a valid BVN, it's next to impossible for you to get your salary...and you know there's TSA in town, so all this coupled together has made things to be in check. |
Emassive:The question should be, should Nigeria still be where it is today? And the answer is no. Now my own is; Is Nigeria where it was years back, the answer too is no; and the reason is so simple, most of us are still very shallow minded with the mindset of doing things the old ways. Somedays ago I was to make a presentation to a group of civil servants on an app for managing their association, they watched me set up for the presentation and when it was time for it to be made, their collective response was "WE DONT WANT" they were not even patient enough to hear what I have to say at all... We...and no other people or person is our problem. we are the sole reason of our problems, and until we realize that, we have a long way to go....and my brother, I reside in Ibadan, and yes for this second term of the state govt, he's snoring off his campaign tour, he has nothing new to add to what he has done already, he's only finishing what he has started. Thanks sir! |
Emassive:Sir! You tried with your assertion, in fact I doff my hat for you. Am sure you have ur definition of development, different from growth. But for now in the whole of Nigeria, what we have is growth, massive growth, though d pace is different with states with the most in former capital cities of the country. But for you to say there's no growth at all in other states...haba! C'mon Sir! Are you really serious and sure about that? You mean even the environment you reside have always been the way it has been since the day you were born till now. Please let's always argue with facts void of sentiments and unprofound grudges. Thank you sir! |
CandyDiamond:I'll accept your plight now because you've not seen and I don't blame you for that but i'll only implore you to come back to this platform and confirm your doubts when the price regime changes. I'm just sure it may not be likely you that. Let's be supportive with government polices and strives, we have nothing to gain with derogatory and defamatory arguments with baseless reasons. |
ajokebelle:I won't agree with your assertion as to the Ooni's might. That he goes around attending occasions and visiting people is only normal, and that have not in anyway reduced his powers. And don't forget that aside from him visiting, he's also being visited. And asper his contributions, if you follow the cyber space very well, you'll know what he has contributed in his very short term on the throne to his immediate community which will in time reflect in the country's economy. As to the programmes he attends, it depends on the point you view things from, but I assure you, he believes they are not pointless but very helpful. I don't know maybe you can recollect he also visited the Alaafin, a feat that have not happened in a while. So for every of his visit, there's more to what we can decipher. Thank you. |
enigma2007:Okay then...if you say so sha. Cos most of the people that hav used techno around me ended up using more than that phone whil I still used my Samsung. Anyways like how much is the current market price of the tab. |
enigma2007:As for me, i'll still prefer Samsung mobile...reason been that irrespective of how many spec the Tecnho mobile as a brand pose to have, their durability on the long run is something of concern. |
MrPresident1:And someone will just wake up someday simply because we see them to be overage or we have our resentments about them, then believe they want to enslave us. For what reason will you believe they would do that? C'mon sir, so in your own believe, you are very comfortable with the current or past assumed freedom you've been living with. Please let's be very factual with our arguments void of sentiments. |
MrPresident1:Thanks for your response, it means if one is going to be enslaved to get what he wants, then he has to do it. It's so simple. Why live like a king with multiple issues than to be enslaved to get total freedom. It's logic. |
MrPresident1:So you mean if you personally borrow money from someone you are enslaving yourself? |
updatechange:You have a very nice point and it's relatable, but my point still remains, a fault of federal government should not be taken on the state government. The road is key to economic improvement, yes...but why haven't the federal government in question not done it themselves, and if the state decides not to look at it, it has its reasons. At least it has done other roads. |
MrPresident1:I see how betrayed you are. But whether it's now or later, we'll have to give the trust to our leaders, the question is why keep what we have to do till later and not now? As hard as it is to trust, it's what we have to do. Believe! |
basilo102:If that's the case, then this current idiot should be allowed to borrow. If we are so sure the nation have resources, then why haven't we harnessed it. And what's our reaction to those trying to harness it? Are we ready for it to be harnessed. Is our patience up to that level? We want things to change but we are not patient for it, a quick fix is being proposed and we are countering it. What exactly do we want? |
WriteBoy:Just make sure you use a towel and not handkerchief for your tears. |
WOCKHARDI:Lol...why should you know, it's a family matter. And a family only let you know what they want you to know. All this it's state fund, it's this...it's that are all just speculations and allegations until you all have proof. But until then, you stick to what you are told. Thank you! |
Afam4eva:Maybe you should try it yourself to be sure, and it'll help you too to know more about it. |
When the foundation is like this, what do we expect in the future? The examiner, the typist to the examination officer down to the entire school administration have a long way to go. And am sure they will be charging fortune in that school too ooo. We have a long way to go in our education system. |
Afam4eva:It has been made online already. Visit www.new.cac.gov.ng to get more info about their services and for more understanding. |
Pavore9:And who's arguing it has not? Have you been to one recently? |
WOCKHARDI:Are you sincerely sure it is only the APC states that were bailed out? Please be sure of your arguments before making contributions. Thanks! Visit this link to see how the funds were allegedly used. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/states-squandered-fg-bailout-funds/ |
