PoliticsRe: Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria's Strictest Leader by jjcbuthot: 4:21pm On Jul 03, 2013
(Wait. Before you start, can I have your attention for a minute, please? This is a time when the Nigerian nation is deeply polarized between Buhari and GEJ camps and their fans are ready to insult or call anyone unprintable names. I am not for either, so do not get it twisted thinking this piece is pro- or anti- whoever. This piece is mainly a story of the life of General Buhari as one of .com's series on Nigeria's leaders. This clarification has to be made because there are some readers who may be harbouring some funny thoughts. I write it as it is. Don't waste your time labelling me as pro-Lagbaja or anti-Lakasegbe, I don't have time for that. I am not impressed by any of our so-called politicians. So please, read this with an open mind and your contributions will be warmly appreciated. Thank you. ™ )
It is a waste of time asking an Igbo man to read with an open mind... How is that possible? You want to transfuse a different gene into their blood stream?

They must pay junior staff of civil service. I don't care if those thieves called senior civil servants are not paid for the remaining 1.5 years of GEJ after all they all took part in rigging GEJ in.
PoliticsRe: How APC Can Win The Presidential Election In 2015 by jjcbuthot: 9:23pm On Jul 02, 2013
Orikinla: How APC can win the 2015 Presidential Election

The new All Progressives Congress (APC) can win the 2015 presidential election by nominating an Igbo presidential candidate with an Hausa vice presidential candidate who will succeed the Igbo as the President of Nigeria after the maximum two terms.
The Senate President should be Yoruba, the Attorney General of the Federation should be from the Middle Belt of Nigeria.

The APC can win all the South East, South-South, South West, Middle Belt and some states in the northern region.

Following my master plan, the APC can win 28 states in 2015.

The other option does not guarantee an easy ride for the APC with an Hausa presidential candidate, because majority of eligible voters in the South East, South-South, South West and Middle Belt will not want to have an Hausa President of Nigeria, because of the collateral damages done by the Hausa Fulani terrorist group Boko Haram and allies in the northern states. But to secure this option, the vice president must be Igbo and the Senate President must be Yoruba and the Attorney General should still be from the Middle Belt of Nigeria.
The Hausa presidential candidate should be a moderate Muslim.
Very very unintelligent and childish post... Is it then an Igbo president that South West, North West, North East and North Central want? Igbos are perpetually unelectable in Nigeria as president.

omenka: This man is begining to sound like a badly configured base guitar.

Can he tell us the number of lives that were ruined by those three drug pushers that were executed??

He said both local and international civil societies were united in the condemnation of the death sentence passed on the pushers,,,, well, what do u expect, for them to applaud the sentence? There were people, some civil organizations, that subtly protested the manner in which Osama was killed, sayin he was killed without fair trial!! Same man that was responsible for the death of thousands!! Did he fairly try his victims before killing them?

Buhari might have had his flaws and goofs while in office, but the execution of those guys isn't one of them. Besides, the world over, military admins rule by decrees. In a democratic setting, things are done a bit diferently Oga Wole.

Be mindful of the things you say sir. Don't make urself unpopular in ur wee hours just like ur just departed coleague.
And if I may ask Cultist Professor Wole Soyinka, what does he have to say about the hanging and beheading of Nigerian drug pushers (since Buhari left power) in other countries like Saudi, China, Malasia, Indonasia, etc? I am sure more than 100 heads of Nigerian drug pushers have been severed from the body since then in other lands. With the lesson Buhari regime was delivering at the time, I am sure most of those guys would be living today and much more who are in jails across the world would be free today. When you refuse to train your children, outsiders will help you deliver some hash lessons to them. And could those three guys executed by Buhari regime have escaped beheading or hanging in other countries? The answer is NO - they would have either been beheaded or languishing in jail somewhere in the cold. But the lesson the Buhari/Idiagbo government was delivering would have saved some many lives today.

Soyinka is short sighted and despite his education, he failed woefully to understand that laws are made to deter people from committing crimes and if anybody steps over it, the laws must be enforced so the essence of the laws which is to deter people can be achieved.

I know the teeming illiterates from a particular region will hit back at me - I have my boxing glove already and also wearing bullet proof-vest under. Come come come...
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Should Be Impeached by jjcbuthot: 8:00pm On Jul 01, 2013
don4real18: This Goodluck Jonathan led administration is probably the worst I've been through my years in this very corrupt nation.
Every existing bodies have gone on strike or about to because of his inabilty to handle responsibilities of the president's seat.
Well meaning nigerians have called for his impeachment in the past but he is always asking for time to deliver or probably time to travel around the whole world with our finances because I see no other thing he is doing or has done that requires praise.
Nigeria's debt is growing,
So Many loss of lives,
Increased rates of crime(lock the school doors, the prison doors open)
& Strikes everywhere
what more do we need to witness before we realise President Goodluck Jonathan doesn't deserve such power bestowed upon him.
It's time for nigerians to make a stand or rather a revolt against this administration bent on ruining us.

Bello Wahab O.
C.E.O, Don City Entertainment
If it is only those that voted for him that are suffering now and threatening to go on strike, I would just sit back and laugh as I enjoy my days/nights with my family.

It takes fools to be ruled by a fool - boko in the north, kidnapping in SE, in SS it is bunkering... as looting of national treasury spread in Abuja and state capitals. Every looter is buying private jet...

Foooolish PDP... Why are they in panic mode over the merger?

Anyway, you can't build something on nothing. You can't get a party registered by just pasting posters everywhere. The requirements are very clear for a party to be registered and there is the need for a structure to be in place. Where is the structure? Who are the people behind this?

ogb5: When Augustus Aikhomu, former vice president to Ibb cornered a 200 bed hospital to Uromi in the late 80's, I was one of those that complained as to why the vp will use federal funds to establish a hospital in his hometown.

That hospital was later attached to Ambrose Alli University as a teaching hospital, and thousands of Nigerians have benefited from the citing of that hospital.

Aikhomu could have diverted the 200million naira used in building the hospital to a swiss account, like other politicians do and the benefits of the current hospital would have been lost.

Am of the opinion that I federal medical Centre in yenegoa is not enough to service over 2 million people living in Bayelsa state.

Let's criticise objectively.
My question to you is, for how long will GEJ rule the country? If every president is citing projects in his home town, what becomes of other towns, cities and villages that will never produce a president?

This action of GEJ and whoever, is irresponsible to say the least. It is a show of visionlessness as a leader of a country and crude way to manage a country.

Tell me, how is Etuoke more important than other towns in Bayelsa state? How is Etuoke more important that other towns elsewhere in the country? How are the people of Etuoke more important that other Nigerians?

GEJ has shown himself again as lacking leadership quality and acumen.

People like GEJ should not have been near the seat of leadership of a country. A villager leading a country.

Face the issue at stake- cuz an injustice to one is injustice to all. It may be you or your brother tommorrow.
Who cares? Seriously?

We are battling Boko Haram and you are asking who cares about a supposedly Islamist party? Go have your head checked!

Nigeria is not the only country where religion influences people's decision at the polls. Check Egypt, Libya, Germany and even the United States (John Kerry lost to Bush in 2004 principally because of his stance on Homosexualism and abortion. Many orthodox Christians sent sympathy votes the way of Bush. Just recently, some Americans did not vote Romney because he is Mormon). Religion is a big issue please!
So, because we are fighting Boko Haram, anything islam must be avoided?

If muslims are so dangerous, how are your brothers living in the north? Owing properties and building churches here and there?

How many people from other tribes and religion are living in your hell hole states in SE?

How many people own properties there and how many mosques do you have there compared to churches in the north?

Every criminal, jobless and idle hands have a reason for causing mayhem. The real boko boys in the north have a reason which probably is religious. Just like Niger Delta militants and the kidnappers in SE have a reason for their evil acts.

What is common to the agents of criminality is hopelessly, joblessness, idleness, lack of mentor and good leaders the hopeless youth can look up to, introduction of thuggery to politics by politicians.

Do you understand that dumbo?

Reference: Said it times over. To become a national party you have to take on a nigerian persona warts and all. This condemns the individual ideologies flown by the constituent parties to the merger. Believe me there will be so much compromise by the time election comes that even Tinubu won't recognize the party. However what we stand to gain as a nation is the pressure of good governance brought about by a strong rather than credible opposition.

Those I pity are the die hard loyalists who made it a habit of berating the PDP. What do you say now and when the party reaches even further out.

Nigeria's problem is in the Nigerian not in the colour of his political flag.
How will the opposition be strong without being credible? Dont forget, it is the support of the people that will make a political party strong, not the politicians themselves. For example, how strong can OBJ make PDP in Ogun state even when the man can't win the polling booth in front of his house?

The new party is going to consist of people who are presently or have preveiously help political positions... People who have shown high tendencies of Corruption and Incompentency in the past.

The new party doesn't offer any change of ideology. Its the same old collection of *Bad Eggs* forming a new alliance...

However, One thing I know for sure is that Nigeria will get better...Unless the end of the world comes soon. Things may get worse though before they get better and the sacrifices for a corruption free Nigeria may be soo great...
A Revolution comes at great Cost.
What do you mean by it is a fight against PDP? We have given PDP 14 years of our life for PDP to turn things around for us after a prolonged period of military rule. WHat have they done in these 14 years? Because the person leading the PDP government is from SS, we should fold our arms and allow the country to be destroyed? And people like you, if the person ruling is from another region, you will be the first to shout that things must change, PDP must be kicked out.

Is this not fooolishness?

Two factors will inflence votes in the south - religion and ethic group.
