vaxx:carry on as you were bro ![]() |
Just30:yes |
vaxx:I was talking about budgets not operations..... |
vaxx:Is Ghana the US? ALSO we are talking budgets not operations!! |
Just30:All im saying is how would you know? |
Just30:100% its not clandestine institution neither should any defence force be! |
TayserMahri:Don't worry I will in a bit.....but im not done playing with you!! Now tell me did I photoshop this photo with a watermark as well
|
. |
TayserMahri:Jeezis Im must be good at photoshop then since my effort looks more real than the Kenyan attempt!! ![]() |
. |
TayserMahri:I look forward to your reply ![]() I added the photoshoped photo for you to compare:
|
Just30:If that budget is not audited how do you know its not looted? |
Just30:As I've stated before the entire sandf budget is transparent and audited... Things like secret/black budgets don't exist here |
vaxx:cool story bro!! Keep making excuses like its a Black Budget!! All you are doing is making excuses for corruption. At least I know exactly where my tax money is going with regards to military expenditure.... And I also know if and when they waste my money |
rvp2018:interesting.... I can literally download the entire SANDF financial statements anytime and see exactly what our budget is spent on everything from salaries to acquisitions. |
Just30:seems like an excuse to loot state funds if you ask me! |
obaaderemi:that's why I'm actually on nairaland.... 99% of my time on nairaland has been spent on the military forums. |
vaxx:I don't have to google sh1t to know that a defence force should be audited like any other institution. The SANDF for one does not have a black budget.... Anything that can not be traced is listed as wasteful expenditure!! This is how it works in SA anyway! |
vaxx:100% disagree security services should and are audited every year!! the South African DOD is audited every year by the Auditor General!! |
Danielnino00:@pacretus what do you think of your colleague's statement ![]() |
TayserMahri:As i did with @gallivant I'm giving you a chance to leave with your dignity in place........ ![]() And yes I do have the original photo!! |
pacretus:Let's compare shall we: Navy Combatants: -Frigates: SA 4 / Morocco 3 -Corvettes: SA 0 / Morocco 4 -Missile boats: SA 3 / Morocco 4 -Subs: SA 3 / Morocco 0 Close but due to SA has subs, which is a massive force multiplier Airforce -Fighter and Attack aircraft : SA 26 Gripen, 24 BAE hawk / Morroco 23 X F16 Block 52, 9 X Mirage F1(same platform was retired by SAAF in 1992 due to obsolescence), 26 X F5E(even older than the Mirage F1), 22 X Alpha jet(mostly retired around the world due to obsolescence) -Dedicated Attack helicopters: SA 12 / Morroco 0 -Special mission aircraft: SA 7 / Morocco 6 -Total transport aircraft: SA 34 / Morocco 33 -Total transport helicopters: SA 79 / Morocco 69 -Training aircraft: SA 56 / Morocco 28 SA has more modern Attack Aircraft 50 to 23 however Morocco has more Attack aircraft in total 80 to 50 SA has more transport + special mission aircraft 41 to 39, SA has more AHs 12 to 0.....Morocco has however expressed interest in buying 24 apache... But as of yet do not operate the platform. SA has more helicopters 79 to 69 and more training aircraft 56 to 28. Very difficult to choose, The Moroccan airforce has more attack craft, but SAAF has more modern attack craft, in terms of transport aircraft its close however The RMA has 14 C130 to 8 thus advantage RMA, in terms of helicopters SAAF has the clear advantage with more transport and Attack helicopters..... To close to call between the 2. Army -Tanks: SA 195 Olifant mk1b+2 / Morocco 222 M1a1, 48 T72, 54 VT1a.... Several hundred 1st gen tanks that were recently retired. -IFVs : SA 1200 Ratel /110 AIFV, 60 Ratel, 395 X VAB vci/vtt -AFVs: SA 178 X Rooikat / Morocco 180 X Amx10 , 175 X AML60/90 (retired by the SA army due to obsolescence, replaced by the Ratel 90 and Rooikat), 20 X ERC 90 -Tank Destroyers: SA 52 Ratel ZT3 / Morocco 23 m901A1. -Hand held Anti tank missiles: SA several hundred, assortment of Denel FT5, Milan ER and Ingwe ZT3 / Morocco several hundred, assortment of Russian, US, Euro and Chinese systems. -APCs: SA 440 X Mamba, 370 X Casspir / Morocco assortment of APC(mostly secondhand) numbering around 950 in total in service -SPH: SA 43 X G6(still the longest firing 155mm SPH in the world), 6 X T5-52 / Morocco undisclosed amount of 2S19 155mm(most likely a single battery for evaluation), 127 X M109s 155mm (mostly donated), 90 X Mk f3 155mm(very obsolete, mostly retired by most armies), 60 X m110 203mm( obsolete, retired by most armies) -Towed howitzers: SA 72 X G5 155mm(one of the longest firing towed 155mm in the world), 32 X M71 155mm, / Morocco 30 X FH-70 155mm, 35 X M198 155mm, 20 X M114 155mm(ww2 era obsolete) , 30 X 118 105mm, 18 X M101 105mm(very obsolete, retired by the SA army after ww2), 18 X m-46 130mm(vert obsolete, retired by the SA army back in the 70s) -Multiple Rocket launchers: SA 50 X 127mm / Morocco 35 X 122mm, 12 X 300mm -AA guns towed + SP: SA several hundreds of 35,23 and 14.5mm / Morocco several hundreds of 23,20,14.5mm -SAMs : SA 178 X Starstreak manport/vehicle mounted systems(very Short range), several Umkhonto gbads systems(short - medium range) / Morocco 36 X MiM 72(very obsolete, retired by the US 23 years ago) 12 X tungusta M SA has never placed a huge emphasis on tanks due to the superior preformance of wheeled vehicles on the open, hard and dusty surfaces of SSA, hence The Moroccan army has a clear advantage in the Tank department...... As for the rest the SA army has a clear advantage in terms of quality of its systems and in some cases even in quantity. Other huge advantages that the SANDF has includes the most extensive radar coverage in Africa, some of the best Communication systems in the world exp: Chaka C2, Impi Bluefor tracker, new generation tactical communication system from Reutech SA, the biggest defense industry in Africa, thee most sustainable defence force in Africa.......... Oh and most importantly our biggest weapon and the one you hate so much LinkZA.... Which btw does fire missile and guns!! With LinkZA different platforms can fire each others weapons for exp a Rooivalk or even a Valour class frigate can designate a target for a Gripen fighter even though it might be out of sight of the Gripen, it means our generals have a full real time map of the battle field 100% of the time, it means our Artillery can hit moving targets, the fact that our Radar systems are linked with LinkZA means our Gripen and Hawk can fly with their radar completely turned, making them dam near invisible to enemy aircraft. What I will note is Both Morocco and SA have several systems that have either been ordered and not received yet as well as systems that both countries have interests in for future acquisitions, thus I've only included systems that a confirmed to be in service with these nations. |
Danielnino00:According to simple logic go look at Morocco's army, Navy and Air force. |
Danielnino00:gfp is a bunch of B.s mate!! ![]() The actual rankings would actually look like this: 1.Egypt 2.Algeria 3.South Africa 4.Morocco 5.Nigeria 6.Angola 7.Ethiopia 8.Kenya |
samorobo:Angola is undoubtedly more powerful than Ethiopia.... |
Abohboy:better is relative..... However on paper the Nigerian military is more powerful. |
davefurn:it's only larger in terms of men..... Wrt actual equipment it's smaller quite alot smaller |
gallivant:what does gdp calculate? |
davefurn:the Nigerian army is larger in terms of men but lacks the quantity and quality of equipment that the SA army possess. |
gallivant:uhm no, your boy claimed that GDP isn't economics at all..... Are you saying the same? |
gallivant:it is yes... But you boy rvp said Gdp has nothing yo do with economics... |
gallivant:it's statistical but as GDP is economics |
