No, man. There are about 20 African countries with inflation rates lower than South Africa.
I said one of thee lowest not thee lowest besides our inflation is a healthy 4.1% well within the reserve banks 3-6% target!!

Inflation that's too low isn't necessarily always a good thing

You can go to Wharton school of business like Donald Trump Jnr and still end up an idiot. You can go to Yale like George Bush Jnr and everyone knows you're just a dumbo. They go there because of money just like Libya Gaddafi's son got himself a PHD there. Now for you - you neither went to say university of Witwatersrand or Capetown - and yet there is no doubt you're dense. You cannot hide behind great south African universities when you rarely exhibit anything remarkable - nobody even knows you here - because you're just a run of the mill bean counter.

GDP worldwide is calculated by Statisticians. It's like a census. Just counting beans and figuring out the price. Slightly more cerebral than what you do as an accountant or a CFA.
Cool Story Bro wink Now go tell it to somebody that cares grin grin grin grin

The Rand started the year at 14 - and is now at 17.5 - which works to around 20% - so we can say as of now - your nominal GDP is down by 20%.
The Kshs has depreciated by 5.6% - so has Kenya Nominal GDP.
the kshs was kshs100 to the dollar at the beginning of the year now it is kshs107 to the dollar... So you do the math...

Also the Rand is appreciating while the kshs is depreciating... Just last night the Rand appreciated by another 3%!!...so all of a sudden its 17% now and not 20% grin grin grin

Do Remember what I told you? I said short term volatility doesn't mean much and the Rand would recover when this covid19 thing blows over..... Wola its doing precisely what I said!!

Don't argue with facts and conflate issues.Kshs depreciation YTD is around 5%.The Rand had gone as low as 32%.The nominal GDP will reflect it almost immediately while we are waiting for the statician to tell us 3 months from now. That is beauty of the dollar and nominal GDP..it picks the economy signals very fast. Its not me but just the dynamic of the economy.Tjat Rand depreciation is telling us what you cannot tell us..the real truth about your economy
grin grin grin grin clutching at straws mate!!!

The fact is the Rand hasn't depreciated by 32% this year its only 20% now and by end of June it will be 10%....the Kenyan shilling on the other hand has already depreciated by 7% till date not 5% and if predictions are correct by end of June it will be kshs109 to the dollar or in other words 9% depreciation!! grin grin grin

Where was Rand at start of the year and where is it now
R14.01.... Just fyi the Rand is set to break R16 to the dollar by end June with forecast putting the Rand at a low of R15.5 by the end of June...

That would mean that the Rand only depreciated by 10% this year.... More or less the same as the Shilling grin grin grin

So is Kenya also becoming the next Zim?

There is the possibility of Nigeria going civil war - and splitting - and South Africa becoming ZImbwabwe. The rand seems to be sensing it - which explains 32% depreciation. That is a capital flight on a grand scale.

Your nominal gdp is down by 32% - depreciate by another 20% - and you're about half kaput - rand depreciate by another 30% from today - and your nominal gdp will be equal to kenya. That can happen in 1yr - currency depreciation of 60%.

Brazilian real is down - 42.4%. The nominal gdp is therefore nearly halved. That happened in like 2 months. So 30yrs is a big joke.
The Rand has appreciated by mor than 13% the past few days.... I guess our Nominal gdp just grew by 13% grin grin grin grin.......yeah so much for becoming Zimbabwe

Dumbo, the two kinds of debts are very risky. Any kind of debt is risky. Even an illiterate drunkard like you should be familiar with the saying: he who goes a borrowing goes a sorrowing.

SOuth Africa's external debt is huge! But their domestic debt is also big . If their external debt is about $100bn, how are they going to print rands to escape a default, you idiot? The printing of local currency to pay debt can only be done in case of domestic debt. And if they try that at their current rate of 6% inflation, then their country would fall into bigger trouble as inflation would spiral up and make many poor. In that case it is wiser to default than to print money like Idi Amin. grin
You know zilch about international finance! You proved it again. Quantitative Easing is used to increase inflation in countries where the inflation is already too low. This is going to reenergize the economy and make people spend more, especially locally produced goods. Europe and America can risk this, not South Africa which imports more than it exports like Kenya!
Inflation rate in EU at the time was less than 1%. South Africa's is 6%, idiot. You are comparing apples and bananas.

If South Africa's debt is mainly domestic, then you are talking of over $100bn. If they print that much, they'll sink. Nigeria doesn't do that and won't. That may be an option for Kenya. But not Nigeria.
I don't even want to talk about Kenya's debt. Nigeria and South Africa are big economies that can somehow find a way round their debt problems, but Kenya can not. With a debt at 100% of your $6Obn GDP, you are finished. As in Kaput.
Do people even bother just googling South Africas inflation rate??

FYI its not 6% its 4.6%

I just remembered you live in south Africa, big bloodlines are plenty there lol, so to you boerbels are so big.
over here bloodlines that grow that big are expensive so their dogs aren't common, are you not seeing how Nigerians are loving mike even as you are saying he's not even nowhere near the biggest?

you're just used to seeing those pure champion bloodlines, come here and see even during BB appraisals and count how many are even bigger than mike.
BB only grow that big when you get a solid pup which can cost around 200-350k
meanwhile an average standard Caucasian of around 100-150k will grow bigger than the average BB of that price range.

you guys just have better boerbels
You have to remember only Dogs registered with the SABBS are Boerboels by law..........hence none SABBS registered dogs are not Boerboels!!

All Boerboels registered with the SABBS are big dogs, even those in Nigeria........I personally know of Plaaswag Hulk(88%) which was exported to a client in Lagos not to long ago!!

The problem is there are so many people advertising dogs as Boerboels in Nigeria when in actual fact they are not even remotely related to a Boerboel......Hence why I now understand why you said only 1-50 Boerboels look like the one in the Video!!

Judging by what you said earlier on this thread I would conclude that the standard of Caucasians in Nigeria is much better than the Standards of Boerboels in Nigeria........Hence why in Nigerian COs might very well be larger on average than the Boerboel!!
PetsRe: Mugabe The Biggest Caucasian In Africa by jl115: 12:32pm On May 27, 2020
IamAnderson:
see what I was trying to explain, Caucasians are naturally slightly larger or the same size with boerbels.
different websites report around the same thing.
boerbels are usually bigger when they're from big bloodlines, on an average the Caucasian is slightly larger
I took the weights and heights straight from the breed standards supplied by the SABBS, KUSA, UKC, AKC and FCI....

The minimum weight for Boerboels are 60kg for males and 55kg for females........With COs its 55kg for males and 45kg for females......there are no upper weight limits for both breeds.

I've always been a Bully breed and hunting dog Fan, my 2 favourite breeds being the Bull Terrier and Staffie, with the GSP and weimaraner following... And rounding out my top 5 is the Alaskan malamute.

let's agree SA G5 and G6 are good at least on paper but not the best in the world. No

Provide a link that suggests it's the best.

Vt4 tanks are more modern but not the best out there, there are no best fighters jets, or best tank, what counts is majorly it's serviceability and durability. The potency rests on the men using them.
Fair enough...

However let's not forget that in my original post I never claimed they were the best... Simply stated that SA is king when it comes to Artillery systems.

Then you babbled on ignorantly about them never being tested in battle when in actual fact they are very well tested in the field and are currently seeing combat as we speak.

and so, does that make it more reliable or durable and how many armies use it world wide.

Look, SA artillery is good but claiming is the best available in world market is what i'm against, especially when you it doesn't much sales. Look at the Indian bofors, a lot of countries use it and more are still going for them. Because it delivers.
Its been tested in combat more than most systems and as you should know most arms sales are politically motivated and have very little to do with the actual system itself.

The G6 tops the charts when it comes to Range, Speed and Protection....never mind the fact that its also the longest firing system in the world!! also in terms of rate of fire its also near the top of the list!!

Currently there are 4 countries that use G6

As for poverty lines.... South Africas upper bound poverty line is R1227 a month or R40 a day, which when taking ppp into account is actually $6.66 a day and food poverty line is R18 or $3.11 a day.

the breed standard actually says Caucasians are slightly bigger..
on an average Caucasians grow bigger than BB, except the BB comes from a very big bloodline.
a lot of BB's don't grow as big as shown

the difference isn't that much tho, it can go either way depending on the dog but the Caucasian is naturally the bigger dog
Actually its the other way around mate wink refer to my previous post
