TayserMahri: Yes, we have to ignore them, the social factors etc,,, because we're talking of a bunch of racist, morally deprived humanoids who were deliberately infecting black SAns and their SADC neigbors to decimate their numbers. How successful was it? Look at the figures and see that SA has a very high level of HIV compared to other African countries. All factors held constant, the deliberate HIV spread, which was not an experiment btw as you call it (you sadist), was the main difference driving the insanely high prevalence in your country and those around them. Your argument would've made sense if the prevalence drastically increased during the 80s except it didn't and HIV in SA only really started to spread dramatically in early 2000s. So as I asked before, what was the success rate of said experiment? Also why im I the sadist all of a sudden? |

“We deliberately spread AIDS in South Africa”
In a shocking confession, made on camera in a new documentary released last month, a former member of South Africa’s Apartheid-era intelligence service says that the Aids virus, and other diseases, were deliberately spread among the population in an effort to kill off as many blacks as possible. His confession, considered just the tip of the iceberg, has reignited the simmering debate about the whole phenomenon of Aids in Africa.
Sources in South Africa say SAIMR was linked to the country’s notorious chemical and biological warfare (CBW) programme headed by Dr Wouter Basson, a programme which Apartheid racists used as a cover to kill black people in South Africa and beyond or do them serious harm. The racists’ ‘operational area’ was what used to be called the ‘Frontline States’ (now known simply as the SADC region). We covered Dr Basson’s operations in detail in our 2001 November Edition.
South Africa’s CBW programme also had links with Rhodesia’s, and the pair did a lot of harm to black Africans, including spreading cholera and other dangerous diseases in the region, and topping it up with HIV/Aids experimentation.
And it also claims the group’s then leader had a racist, apocalyptic obsession with HIV/Aids. Keith Maxwell wrote about a plague he hoped would decimate black populations, cement white rule, and bring back conservative religious mores, according to papers collected by the film-makers.
Maxwell had no medical qualifications but ran clinics in poor, mostly black areas around Johannesburg while claiming to be a doctor. That gave him the opportunity for sinister experimentation, Jones says in the film, Cold Case Hammarskjöld. “What easier way to get a guinea pig than [when] you live in an apartheid system?” Jones says in the film. “Black people have got no rights, they need medical treatment. There’s a white ‘philanthropist’ coming in and saying, ‘You know, I’ll open up these clinics and I’ll treat you.’ And meantime [he is] actually the wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
Documents collected by the film-makers appear to show that Maxwell’s private views were very different from his public persona. The papers suggest a ghoulish delight in the advent of an epidemic. In one he writes: “[South Africa] may well have one man, one vote with a white majority by the year 2000. Religion in its conservative, traditional form will return. Abortion on demand, abuse of drugs, and the other excesses of the 1960s, 70s and 80s will have no place in the post-Aids world.”
The papers read like the fever dream of a man who aspired to be South Africa’s Josef Mengele. There are detailed, if sometimes garbled, accounts of how he thought the HIV virus could be isolated, propagated and used to target black Africans.
What is less clear is whether he had the expertise or funds to implement his nightmarish visions. Jones, the former SAIMR member, claims he did. “We were involved in Mozambique, spreading the Aids virus through medical conditions,” he says.
“The topic of Aids research came up several times, quite loosely in conversations, I never put two and two together,” Feil says in the film. Instead Dagmar asked Karl to go with her to church, so she could “make right with God”. Weeks later she was dead.

Not important to me just saying you shouldn't claim so called Nigerian athletes representing other countries as your own |

rvp20182: Kenya also dithered - more than 1 million Kenyans I bet have died - in parts of kenya - at least every homestead has HIV-AIDS graveyard. HIV-AIDS decimated kenyans - life expectancy went down to 47 yrs (like Nigeria now ) - and has now climbed up to 67.
We are also dithering with COVID-19 - with half-measures.
But Kenya can be excused - the leaders don't pretend to be medical experts and start challenging WHO - and we are 3rd world. You're 2nd world and what you did on HIV-AIDS - still confounds me. Again you are talking about stuff that happened more than a decade ago , Even with a 18% HIV prevalence our life expectancy is still 65 years....... |

Just30: These days, even HIV patients can have children and normal lives for the most past of their productive life and retire.
That ain't a problem when you have an incredible health care system Not saying South Africa has an incredible health system however if you look at the life expectancy of SA its up there with countries that have a much much smaller prevalence of HIV in fact the life expectancy of SA and Ghana is near identical! |

Kazikazi: The 500 will be borrowed. So wait for IMF terms and conditions! I hope they won't tell you to devalue your currency. Its not a fancy thing to go knocking into doors of IMF.Nothing is free there.
500 devide by your current exchange. 500÷19=26billions! That is just the GDP of small nations like Zambia or Botswana. And don't forget, out of that 26 billions, corruption will have to swallow some of it.
Talking about reforms!?.. Reforms are done on areas which were hindering progress. In case of SA, what you mentioned are not real meat.Easy of doing business you are doing just fine,Visa issues are not a big issue either. Most of small businesses are too little in your huge multinationals controlled economy.
The real issues are Corruption Labour laws and unions Electricity prices and reliability.(Privatized or not it doesn't matter) Lack of entrepreneurship mentality and gov support on SMEs A huge gov wage bill Crime A spiritual problems which u got through xenophobia madness You haven't taken ppp into account but it doesn't really matter as R500 billion is still a sh1tton How are we just fine with ease of business? our goal is to be in the top 50 we are in the 80s at the moment, also I guess you would know why this is important to economic growth, Tourism is a R150 billion industry so yes relaxing Visa regulations is very very important, small businesses make up 34% of our GDP bro!!!!! - Corruption: I agree, and Ramaphosa is doing a good job stamping out corruption - Labour laws: I've touched on this in my previous reply -Electricity: I touched on this, hence why I said IPP are now able to sell directly to clients, also Eskom is being restructured and being partly privatized also how can you say IPPs and Privatization don't matter? -SMEs: thought you said Small businesses don't matter? - Huge wage bill: again i've touched on this in my previous post -Crime: I agree, however a stronger economy will lead to a reduction in crime -Xenophobia: had a minimal effect on our economy |

Kazikazi: 500 billion is alooot! But did u ask where is it coming from? The huge chunk of it will come from IMF and world bank soft loans. You will pay it later on.
SAA have been spending billions of gov handouts monthly. The gov have no more cash. The little they have will be eaten by corona.
Then you still talk about economic reforms? Do u know how an economic reforms look like?
Paying people more money isn't an economic reform. Spending on social welfare isn't an economic reforms.
SA can't do reforms in this era.You have a lot of socialists in top gov positions and unions who won't allow that to happen.Your reforms can happen when everything is down and out - Yes a lot will come from the IMF and World bank, that is yet another reform the Ramaphosa has pushed as the old ANC would've never borrowed from the IMF or World Bank. - The Government has R500 Billion to spend.....that's almost the Size of your entire Economy! they could've bailed out SAA if they so wished - Yes I know what Economic reforms look like, Its literally my job to know - Our Reforms are happening, Eskom is being partially privatized, the liquidation of SAA, the fact that the reserve bank is not nationalized, reduction of cabinet size and remuneration, Municipalities can now purchase electricity direct from IPPs , improving ease of dong business, small businesses exempted from industry wage agreements, reducing red tape for businesses, reform of the visa regulations ect ect ect |

Kazikazi: Which reforms are you talking about? Do u even know what an economic reform look like? Refusing to grant cash to SAA wasn't about reform.it was all about lacking cash, not otherwise. I told you how you are now swimming on dangerous waters, but you couldn't listern. Ramaphosa just announced a R500 Billion economic relief package......You think he couldn't just use R10 billion to bail out SAA if he wanted to? Also its literally my job to know what's going on in the South African Economy, I'm 100% sure I know more about economics and economical reforms than a person that believes Hillary Clinton is a Clone!! |

rvp20182: You were already sick (economically - the medium prognosis was 1 or -1%) and epidemic wise - you don't yet have a handle on HIV-AIDS - something that is easy to deal with.
And I am not laughing - I am neither a Brit or a Boer. I am fully blooded African who want ANC to succeed and I get disappointed when it does show leadership and deal with issues like Boers would have. Our Life expectancy is almost the same as Kenyas.....so yes we've dealt with HIV. Also our HIV death to prevalence ratio is much much much lower than Kenya's Also yes our economy is broken thanks to 9 Zuma years, however we will recover quickly......and the Covid 19 is also a blessing in disguise as it has given Ramaphosa a mandate to push through his economic reforms. Honestly couldn't care which political party is at the helm in SA as long as they are competent. Lastly I never said you were a Brit or a Boer...........I asked you why we(Boer people) are laughing!! |
