Also, temperature is not just the figures, humidity is the key to how the human skin reacts.

That is why arid terrain temperatures includes HUMIDEX, it can be 47 deg C but with humidex it feels like 57 deg C on human skin !

The January average humidity in Sokoto is 30% with a max of 80% in the rainy season although temperatures in the rainy season are also lower!

German source is a nonsense crappy crap. I thought someone has already picked holes in that. But here's what: Anthony Day was fired upon by a naval warship. He tried to radio the warship but no luck. So he got the radio of the coast guard or something who then radioed the commander of the warship. The commander admitted the error and said it was done in error

Now question is which naval commander did the radio folks communicated with?

All possibilities point to the SAN because they would be the first choice of contact naturally.

Secondly given how south Africa love Hollywood-ing their SANDF, they would have rushed and print the news of how the German navy goofed and how they themselves are expert.

That's why your own very forums in South Africa are never in doubt who the incompetent navy is.

But a nigerian-conscious e-sandf like you folks will always bring in controversies.
Hahahahaha your imagination is beyond compare!!
Firstly SAN never blamed or pointed fingers at the Germans!Show me a source were the SAN made a statement clarifying it was the German Navy

"Now question is which naval commander did the radio folks communicated with?

All possibilities point to the SAN because they would be the first choice of contact naturally
"

Uhm.........No! The SAN had no ships in the area,as pointed out by both sources, thus the German navy would be the first choice to contact!

"German source is a nonsense crappy crap"

Funny analogy...its like saying Nigeria can afford 100 units of Rafale Jets if they decided to buy. Because in real sense, the country has the money, but would they splash out on Rafales? Maybe, maybe not, the answer is subjective.

Your logic falls flat in the face of objectivity, the question is not about capability but can SA afford it? Are they willing to invest in it? which i doubt considering the fact that the SA budget cannot accommodate crucial air-freight planes for the military and luxury vip jets at a time.

Stop this act of chest beating, the issue is not about ingot, because as at 21:28 GMT 9th of April 2015, SA doesn't have nuclear warheads.
"Funny analogy...its like saying Nigeria can afford 100 units of Rafale Jets if they decided to buy. Because in real sense, the country has the money, but would they splash out on Rafales? Maybe, maybe not, the answer is subjective"
Uhm.....NO!Its nothing like this:

We have the material and technology it would cost us much much less to manufacture nuclear warheads than what it would cost Nigeria.
Its like buy 100 Rafales but you already have all the air-frames!if i have to use your example.

"SA budget cannot accommodate crucial air-freight planes for the military and luxury vip jets at a time."
Firstly buying transports falls into the Defece budget, which by the way is only 1% of our GDP.

Secondly its all ready been budgeted for, so yes we are getting transports in the next 2-3 years.

Lastly our National treasury is much larger than Nigerias, thus we can afford many more weapons than Nigeria if we really wanted to!

Your MRS is a VBSS team, no different. Even Somalia has these.

Your inefficient defence ministry only issues as single Cammo type to you HIV ridden troops.

Proper militaries across the world have different types of Cammo for different terrains. The Americans, brits, Nigerians, indians, turks, pakistanis.

Nigeria operates the multi-terrain cammo,
Woodland
Desert.

Your SF only have a primary green cammo.
Our MRS are parachute qualified,Dive qualified, and do joint land operations with our Army. Thus they are much more versatile than a VBSS.

Jap ,to bad you operate Woodland camo in desert operations!

"Proper militaries across the world have different types of Cammo for different terrains. The Americans, brits, Nigerians, indians, turks, pakistanis."
The US ARMY uses only the UCP-Delta camo pattern! the other patterns you posted are from other branches of the military exp:USAF,USN and SF/SOF units, our Airforce and Navy have different uniforms than our Army and our SFs also have different camo depending on their mission.

"Your SF only have a primary green cammo."
Nope!! their standard camo as i said before is Soldier2000 camo, and change depending on their mission as i proved with the photos i posted:

"When artillery firing during joint South African-German Seemanövers Good Hope off the coast of South Africa, a fishing boat was nearly sunk. Obviously, a good eight meters long boat had been confused with a remote-controlled drones over water, which are used for target representation. According to the German Navy is still unclear whether the errant shots of a German ship or a ship of the South African Navy yet. (Correction for new information: ) The shooting was organized according to the German Navy only by German units; South African ships were not involved.
As part of the German Operations and Training Association Hesse took the frigates (photo above) and Karlsruhe part in the exercise, which ends on (today) Friday.
About the shots on the fishing boat last Wednesday the captain of the Arctic South African media had reported in detail:

The German Navy had announced on Wednesday that it had taken place after the artillery shooting of the German Association of a cry for help on a marine radio distress frequency. Meanwhile ordered Marine Inspector Andreas Krause an inquiry to:

Meanwhile in South Africa was adjacent to the operator of the ski-Boats "Arctic" that a warship had shot in the early morning of March 25 2015 toward his boat with naval artillery. People were not injured. His boat is also intact. The "Arctic" was at that time in the vicinity of the Operations and Training Association of the German Navy.
The Chief of the Navy has therefore immediately instructed investigation into the facts."
