The thing is experience is past down from generation to generation, those pilots that flew in the border war might not be pilots any more but they are flight insructors, air force advisors ect ect.

Yes buddy dont worry i found your source, just want to say there is a big difference between wanting somthing and actually acquiring it, ARMSCOR got the all clear and tenders are released thus we will be getting OPVs.

Uhm..I Never said it was the hottest did I? I only corrected the post that stated we never fought in the desert, besides we can/are train our troops in the deserts(kalahari+Karoo) of the Northern cape, like to see how your soldiers and equipment fair in 40+C or -5C temperatures.

First problem is NNS Thunder and NNS Okpabana have 13km range 76mm gun with rapid fire mode anti-aircraft, so before Lynx can launch Mokopa 10km away, NNS Thunder has struck the helicopter dead 13km away.

Second problem is that South African military have NO SINGLE Mokopa in service

Go see Lion Effort profile pages of SAAF pilots and see how many of your 8 pilots have real life combat exerience since the day they were born, the counting will embarrass SAAF
