MAN1960:
Ok it's put it this way
SOUTH AFRICA official budget is larger than that of NIGERIA but NIGERIA spends more than SOUTH AFRICA in defense

I think everyone will agree to this pattern
nope

@NTSA

I believe we can now close this case?
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 11:58pm On Jun 15, 2022
NTSA:
You would do us a huge favor if you posted the screenshots /links of the actual budgets here
yes:

First SA which is @R49 billion/$3.3 billion
Second Nigeria @N1.2 trillion/$2.8 billion

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 11:55pm On Jun 15, 2022
NTSA:
It's clear that Nigeria has a higher defence budget than that of SA from almost all available sources.
not according to the actual budgets of each as provided by the Government of those countries

I'm guessing the "almost" is in response to your own Government?
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 11:51pm On Jun 15, 2022
MAN1960:
I just don't know why the southies always cry when ever Nigeria is ahead of them,
Please study those figures well and you will notice that you only pass Nigeria in the table by the amount of money you owe other countries and their banks,

EXTERNAL DEBT

If any southie can show any website that shows South Africa 2022 defense budget is larger than that of Nigeria, I Will PERSONALLY DECLARE THE SOUTHIES THE WINNERS
I already showed you both the budgets from both countries treasuries
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 11:50pm On Jun 15, 2022
MAN1960:
Even GFP disagree with your claim

THIS IS SOUTH AFRICA DEFENSE BUDGET
it not my claim but straight from our Government...... Are you saying the budget posted by the South African government is wrong?

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 9:46pm On Jun 15, 2022
SAAF is at appalling level right now........however it's not uncommon for these things to happen, same thing happen with the Luftwaffe. Luckily there is a new/old CEO at Denel who will fix Denel just like he Fixed Denel in the past and a new SAAB contract has been signed for the Gripen which should see them up and running in the next couple of weeks.

But let me part with this, with no major increase in funding for NAF I see the same thing happening again as in 2015 where only 7 YES only 7 aircraft were operational in the entire NAF fleet wink

Buhaha

Less than a quarter of SAAF aircraft serviceable
https://www.defenceweb.co.za/aerospace/aerospace-aerospace/less-than-a-quarter-of-saaf-aircraft-serviceable/
I was actually talking about GBADS but anyway a quarter of our fleet is still 50 odd aircraft.....which im willing to bet my left nut is still more than what NAF hs operational at the moment wink

grin You poor attempt at honesty is touching

While you are still sober, what Chadian pilots wants to fly them
Nope just quoting facts:

"A MiG-29 may have suffered minor damage after its hangar was destroyed, with photos showing the aircraft covered in debris"
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 8:42pm On Jun 15, 2022
Odunayaw:
grin Shameless as usual. Don't drag us to SAAFs level. And yes BH is outside our borders and NAF have hunted them there. Niger and Cameroon

cheesy SAAF does a good job of being a dispatch rider for UN though
You have not deployed outside your Borders wrt BH...just flying over the border then coming back isn't a foreign deployment grin grin
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 8:41pm On Jun 15, 2022
Toju200:
foreign or non foreign it's not the point
No it is actually, since sustaining a foreign deployment far from any supply is much different than "deploying" in your own country
