@Kabe1 could you post some of Nigerias tactical communication systems here?? I think the group will enjoy! |
davefurn:How long did apartheid go on for?? and if you didn't notice poverty figures have decreased dramatically since 94 as well as the black middle class surpassing the white middle class as well as in the next 5 years there will be more non white HNWI than White HNWI.........aslo considering the ANC is on its way out those figures will accelerate after 2024. Just remember poverty figure for Black SAns 22% poverty figure for Nigeria 40% |
davefurn:maybe you forgot a little thing called apartheid my bru and the Black middle class has now overtaken the white middle class...as for HNWI it isn't far behind |
New SANDF tactical communication system The communication system encompasses state-of-the-art transmission and information security techniques, incorporating semi real-time data link performance characteristics and digital voice communication. Development of various elements in this system are completed and will result in the first tactical communications system in the world that will provide complete inter-operability between all elements of the battlefield (air force, army, navy, etc.) without using gateways or protocol converters,” the report states. It goes on to state that development of the communication management system, which enables execution of design test and evaluation as well as operational test and evaluation of the total system comprising all major sub-systems operating as a system is also complete. “The first two production contracts are nearing completion and follow-up production orders have been placed” the report states without giving details of value and duration. Reutech Communications, a Reutech division, is a contractor to Armscor for the development and manufacture of a range of software defined combat net radios (CNRs). This is part of modernising communication in the SA National Defence Force (SANDF). The Reutech product is designed for joint operations between airborne, ground-based and naval forces. It is based on a common architecture and common tactical data link enabling seamless integration of C4 (Command, Control, Co-ordination & Communications) systems, sensors, weapons and intelligence across the battlespace. Reutech is supplying the SANDF with thousands of new generation software-defined radios over a ten year period. These cover land, sea and airborne applications. They have been deployed operationally on peacekeeping duty in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)."

@Kabe1 could you post Nigeria's TDL here? I think the group will find it interesting |
davefurn:You mean in a country where there are the same number of non-white millionaires as white millionaires and where the black middle class is bigger than the white middle class............and also the country where the average black SAn earns 3 times more than the average Nigerian and is much less poverty stricken than the average Nigerian? |
LINK-ZA Africa's only integrated air, ground and ship TDL.....Outside Nato there is only a handful of countries that operate a defence force wide TDL...... Australia only got there own TDL as recent as 2019. So good is LinkZA that G6 and G5 artillery pieces can accurately hit moving targets, Mokopa missiles can be guided to targets by other platforms which was successfully displayed when a Rooivalk fired a mokopa missile at a target that was guided by a Gripen.

MAN1960:Well firstly Nigeria doesn't spend more than SA on Defence as I've proved and 2 these systems im posting are unrelated to that debate |
GreenandGold:let's not let facts get in the way of fun my bru ![]() |
Denel 35mm gun......which is also the Valour class Frigates Close protection system:

GeneralFarouq:So he withdrew $462 million....which even if every penny went to your defence force would still be less than SAs budget. Obviously you've never heard of the SDA(Special defence account) which had a budget of nearly $1 billion in 2020. "Projects are divided into two categories – technology and capital acquisition and procurement and maintenance support – valued at a total of R12 billion. Technology and capital acquisition account for the majority – 65% – worth R7,7 billion while procurement and maintenance at R4,4 billion "making up the 35% balance. |
Chadian Mig29..... @kabe1 what anti-air equipment would Nigeria use to firstly detect and then eliminate Chadian Mig29s once they have entered Nigerian airspace in the NE?
|
GeneralFarouq:Look at the link.....are you blind? it literally says treasury.gov |
Oryx medium lift helicopter.....easily one of the worlds best(If not thee best) !!
|
GeneralFarouq:What other sources? I literally have the Nigerian budget!! that supersedes any other non governmental source. Also I ain't hiding anything: "The South African defence budget for 2022/23 has marginally increased from the previous year's adjusted allocation of ZAR48.79 billion (USD3.3 billion) to ZAR49.09 billion, according to figures released by the treasury on 23 February." chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/http://www.treasury.gov.za/documents/national%20budget/2022/ene/Vote%2023%20Defence.pdf |
Considering I have the full Nigerian 2022 budget in front of me I can this objectively state Nigeria only spends around $2.8 billion on defence.... Case closed |
@Omofaye99 Here is another screenshot I took myself ![]()
|
Omofaye99:You saying that about your own Government bru? |
Omofaye99:nope my source is the budget office of the federation.... Now sit down bru ![]() https://www.budgetoffice.gov.ng/index.php/mdas-approved-2022-budget-details |
Omofaye99:yes that's actually the source |
Omofaye99:I don't claim to know more than anyone... I simply post verifiable facts |
Omofaye99:the post is not from a blog muppet, it's a screenshot of your own budget. |

Nemesis4you:What you talking about?? ![]() |
GreenandGold:I think I get what you are saying....although the DA has done better than the ANC it still hasn't made a major difference on the ground, example high crime rate, unemployment, and poverty still exists in the WC albeit to a slightly lesser extent to ANC metros..... However to that argument I would still say the DA is constraint to ANC policies and thus cannot implement the necessary policies due to this... |
Kabe1 would you mind posting some of Nigeria's Air defence systems? Think it would be nice to see ![]() |
