Prisoner of conscience anywhere in d world is an exalted title quite different from prisoners of corruption. In today's court ruling, citizen Kalu asked to be taken to prison and dat was granted. Thumb up LegalTeamKalu.

What's all the noise by Omenka, NgeneUkwenu and co about when it's Kanu himself that requested that he be sent to prison?
My brother am surprised too how these ppl read news upside down. Kalu lawyer pushed for prison remand, d judge granted him his request and some ppl are crying for Kalu. Kalu epitomises bravery and ruggedness anytime and has scored another victory today in d courts.

This stuff is really becoming serious.
Lalasticlala please do the needful.
This is worthy of FP.
My respect for NL will come bak if this happens. Ordinarily this is a FP item but u ll be surprised if a ban becomes d order.
Politics › Re: Referendum: EU High Representative Replies Biafra(screenshot) by jlinkd78(m):
Coming from biafraphobic SR, this is really serious. It is about time too we discussed Biafra topics on Nairaland without being censored or called derogatory names or even being banned. Biafra as a spirit can not be defeated according to Prof Wole Soyinka and d more it appears to be caged d more another lifeline comes up. For ur info, d EU which is a conglomerate of all European Countries, has pledged allegiance to d struggle of Biafra secession vis-a-vis a snap referendum provided it is done within International law without carrying arms. They v recommended civil disobedience, demonstrations, court actions, economic boycott etc and in all fairness d Ipob have met this obvious marking script hence have technically passed d first integrity test for self determination. Hitherto, Biafra was a topic dat must not be discussed in d open but gradually d world is no longer keeping quiet. Only time shall tell. I was even shocked dat with all d arrest of Biafra Radio engineers and technicians dat d 'pirate' Radio is still airing live here in Phc even yesterday in addition to its availability on mobile apps. If d Nig govt fails in annihilating this Radio, all dia efforts in quenching d agitation will mount to futility.

I have a serious problem with d way SR moulds d minds of their readers with sensational captions dat often not d nucleus of d main body in d write up. If this was to be an English Language exam back in d days and one was asked to caption this write up, then SR knows they failed. They failed not because they dont know d right title but bc they want u to think in d direction to make Ffk a thief who is now admitting to have collected part of d 'thiefed' money from private individuals & companies. Any erudite scholar here will agree with me dat a better caption wud v been : FFK denies receiving $1.6 billion from Gej, Dss or Dasuki for Presidential election. This is truth and this while I sometimes see sense when some ppl see d media as being screwed to favour d whims and caprices of their masters. If SR is whom we expect them to be, they wud v been doing several series now to take on d govt lies esp when d President claimed nobody is corrupt in his cabinet.

FFK go and see EFCC
Ur hate for this man has blurred ur reasoning not to see efcc is yet to invite him cos they know he is smarter than them. His own narration has shown he had nothing to do with any pro-govt fund let alone from our Dasuki yams. If Ffk can be discharged by d courts even after Pmb inauguration no one can quench his firebrand criticism against this govt of vindictiveness. My honest position on this govt can only change when I see perceived corrupt persons in this govt or in dia party also being invited by d efcc. But my hope appears to be waning when Mr Prsident has declared all them corruption free. Time will time. Am also happy it appears FFK is living above average so dat d idea of completely decimating d opposition will not be achieved at least anytime soon.
Politics › Re: You Are Insulting The Judiciary, Femi Fani-kayode Writes Buhari Again by jlinkd78(m): 12:05am On Jan 05, 2016
It is becoming painful dat a lot of contributors here on NL are likely paid e-agents whose only reply whenever u make a good criticism against d PMB govt is to throw insults at you without puncturing any point u raised. How did we get to this point when we r still seeing and believing dat Mr Buhari is infallible and hence any opposing or dissenting view must be quarantined? We all must not love Buhari more so when he appears not to show love to a particular section of a country and openly boasts about it. Truth is dia is a supreme being dat even d most brutal forces respect and He is not Buhari. This master piece from FFK is raw truth devoid of rigmarole, filled with verifiable arguments and didactically constructed. Sometimes I feel bad dat FFK is not from d SE and its more to realise a lot of Nigerian political elites are cowards whom we know die many times before their death. Hate this man or like him but u cannot rubbish his epistles and in him I understand d aphorism dat d pen is mightier than the sword. For d records Ffk was discharged by d courts of financial crimes when Pmb has already taken over. Dat Olisah Metuh n Fayose completes d tripod of d three wise men who must checkmate this govt excesses without fear or favour. My prayer for Ffk is dat this govt do not trace d Dasukigate to him so that d this vindictive govt do not take d last laugh and further decimate d opposition.

Only now got convinced dat d office of d Natnl Security Adviser is not responsible for upkeep of past head of states which comes under Service Wide votes (precisely Entitlement of former Presidents/Head of States) hence d receipt of d SUV from Dasukigate by Buharigate might not be a 'normal-gate' as some ppl want us to believe. Waoh, Amaechi n Fashola are really super ministers. Ekiti getting a Fed Secretariat cplx and u think Fayose criticism isnt working? Wishing them fruitful implementation.

same thing I reasoned after reading his boast of defeating BH and meeting Dec 31 deadline. No terrorist organization will hear that without planning and executing a major assault on d state and I wont be surprised if we soon here of a major attack. D problem is dat no body was even worrying them about d Dec mandate but d diarrhoea of d mouth still pushed Uncle Lai into this which am sure will backfire
Politics › Re: Fani-kayode Praises Judge For Refusing To Hear Nnamdi Kanu's Case by jlinkd78(m):
Finally this FFK is becoming a great and fearless statesman by his continuous stand on d path of raw truth, fairness, egalitarianism and need to respect rule of law. As the day runs by, I am beginning to believe that FFK and Fayose are d greatest asset at d moment in this country that always rise up in defense of d common man irrespective of tribe, religion or political leaning. What most people do not know is dat d late Yar Adua and subsequently Gej paid great sacrifice to ensure we have rule of law and obedience to court judgements unlike in d days of Obj where implementation of court order is a function of his whims and caprices. Nnamdi Kalu has been able to let d whole world know dat d current govt do not obey court orders and thus prefers to remain in detention. Honestly that is heroic and legendary. It is even more instructive dat this particular judge dat rose up in defense of d judiciary vis-a-vis democracy is a northern Muslim. In d coming days I see other High court judges declining from handling this matter in order not to rubbish dia integrity. What d world may not v known is dat Kalu actually came in to pay d price of incarceration which any true freedom fighter all over d world must pay before becoming a colossus and with d Deputy Director Uche Mefor still maintaining daily airing at Radio Biafra; d idea remains more alive than d govt imagines. Once again, congrats to Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed and all d othee judges who have stood firm in d face of likely obvious executive intimidation and interference.

This guy go don tire already.

Abeg make una take am easy with am nah.
Ever since I was purportedly banned on this hitherto great forum and subsequently unbanned at dia discretion, I v chosen to maintain low profile by visiting, enriching myself with info and reading comments without making any. I v equally observed that it will be unfair to condone anti-'byafra' sentiments while banishing her pro. Decision must be made by d mods not to reflect any Byafra news here at all or tolerate comments for or against. Truth is d more efforts are being made to suppress this idea d more it becomes more topical dat I v seen several byafra posts in FP again. Of particular mention is d way, u, Passingshot has been making sarcastic cum ridiculous comments dat are far from being nationalistic, that are half truths and at best very diluted and pro-govt. If after reading d account of what transpired in court today with d masterpiece statement by Kalu himself and ur above comments were d best u cud write then we are losing it. Those Nnamdi Kalu statesmnt will in d coming days become bookmarked as quotable quotes and it is IQ like this that has made d Radio Byafra win several converts including my humble self. The judge appreciated his objection and referred to him as being 'learned', an adjective often reserved for lawyers alone. U can imagine he has been set free by other courts before now and his captors still want him to remain captive. Suddenly d DSS has backed out and d Attorney General Office taking over. Just google 'treasonable felony' and u will find out its a term patented with Nigeria just like prebendalism is our special type of democracy. He has also told d world dat he is not in a hurry for an 'arrangee' freedom but ready to remain in detention until such a time d FG is ready to know dat rule of law is d beacon of democracy and be released unconditionally. Dat a Muslim judge will align with Kalu in this case against d state is also very instructive. I respect d courage, fearlessness, forthrightness and astuteness of this Justice Ahmed Mohammed and he will surely be remembered. It is Kalu today, it cud be any of us tomorrow but believe me d govt is really becoming more embarrassed by their predetermined mind set which d judiciary is trying her best to distance from it.

He extoled d former minister of Power, Prof Nebo, for not leaving a hang over debt on d Ministry while promising to ensure oda ministries clear any back log in dia books. Fashola is indeed a good administrator who starts d clean up from his room. Just hoping to see improvement at user end.

This is why no section of d country shall be banned on NL, an intelligentsia group, cos we are all victims of d prebendalism happening in d country. This Falana epistle is strong, the truth, instructive and above all on point. It is as truthful as d Biafran project and as plain as d nose. Falana, we support u to go any lenght and am happy with d portion of d Obj boast of d recovery under his watch cos this is time to account. These are d real terrorist financiers cos they can do anything to ensure insecurity continues so they ll keep milking us. Am kind of confused why Dokpesi is at d centre of this whole scam and his unintelligent revelation became d turning point after all Dasuki taciturn like stand. My house boy told me dat if he were to be Dokpesi he wud v claimed d money he received was for Security enlightenment agaist BH but once he connected it to Pdp election, I knew his was over. Mr President while we encourage u to fight on, during the period we are still part of Nigeria, we also want u to prosecute ur party men. All Hail d incoming nation though, d landbof d rising sun and thank God so far none of d 5% is involved in this high class anti-natnl security scandal.

You are the one who isn't thinking like a business man, the biafran miscreants had taken over Nairaland and Seun was loosing business because of that. Every business has a misson and vision, Nairaland is a pro Nigerian Forum and it would be stupid of Seun as a business man to let anti- Nigerians fill the Forum with their daily propaganda. they clearly have a different agenda than that of the owner of this forum and it was time for him to put his foot down and take back control of his business. Frankly, i think he let that nonsense go on for too long and i know many people who don't advertise on Nairaland because of the type of miscreants here.
u call responsible ppl miscreants, u ppl always start this
