eph12: Still I fail to see Wike's plan for his state. What are his campaign promises? How does he plan to achieve them? Who are his cabinet members? He should just stop this show of strength and focus on the major reason why he's there. Wike has done more work as at today than any gov including Buhari. He has opened d courts, named his SSG, Started Operation zero pothole with Julius Berger earlier driven out of d state by Amaechi, inaugurated d House of Ass, appointed State Chief Judge and President Court of Appeal, recalled sacked lecturers, dissolved d irresponsible RSIEC with empowermnt from State House of Ass. Tell me any state that has named Commisioners or u dont know u first send list to House of Assembly. Whereas GEJ renovated and took Buhari on a tour of Aso villa, Amaechi n his agents were busy looting govt house properties all to frustrate Wike smooth take over. Let Buhari name his SFG first before we start d speed comparison. Show of strenght doesnt come in yet but ll surely be seen soon when he must have sacked d kangaroo lg elected chairmen following directive from d state House of Ass. Dont tell me d courts cos d courts already wasnt in support of d sham election |

omojeesu: Politicians are mostly shameless people irrespective of age. In my opinion Tinubu still appears more progressive minded that most in this pack of crooks.
He changed the face of Lagos. He produced Fashola. He assisted GEJ to win southwest in 2011, even against his party's Presidential flagbearer. But GEJ stabbed him in the back. The people of southwest were abandoned by GEJ and PDP until 6 weeks before the elections when they started running in and out of Yorubaland appeasing kings and subjects.
Tinubu made APC possible. He saw to the emergence of Buhari as candidate and president eventually. He gave in to Buhari to have Osinbajo. What is his sin?
He is not a saint nor corruption free, but he is more patriotic than most of his political cohort.
I hope Buhari, like GEJ, will not betray us again. Talking about betraying d Yorubaland count out GEJ n rather hold Tinubu to d jugular. GEJ/PDP endorsed a Yoruba woman Hon Mulikat Adeola for Speaker but Tinubu BETRAYED n Tambuwal emmerged. GEJ immortalised ur own great son Abiola by changing Unilag to his name still Tinubu n his cohorts BETRAYED. The Yoruba has always been in d forefront of National Conference n every other previous govt including ur son Obj dodged it but GEJ gave it to Nigerians on a plater of gold still Tinubu/APC were d only group dat never sent a representative yet anoda BETRAYAL. Even by ur own admission, Tinubu assisted GEJ to win in 2011 even when he brought out Ribadu is one of d greatest BETRAYAL as such assist wud v been normal if his party had no Presidential candidate. Between Tinubu dat abandoned Ribadu n made his people vote for another party entirely and d 'trachearous' Natn'l Assmbly mbrs dat voted for dia own party members (though not d annointed ones) to emerge Senate President n House Speaker who is a BETRAYER. The Lagos/Ibadan, Lagos/Benin roads re all by GEJ. I dont know about Buhari not betraying u but please GEJ never betrayed d Yoruba but Tinubu always put his interest above dat of d Yoruba. Nobody has encroached into his South West region yet only dat Nigerians want to limit him a local champion but now d other gladiators know dat he is beatable I expect intriguing times for d Jagaban even in his local enclave. Only time shall tell. |

dayo23: Fools!!! Just because Bukola and dogara were sworn in through the backyard style doesn't mean anybody's political career is over. Every comment on this thread is base on hatred for Tinubu, I personally don't like his lifestyle But I respect his ways of politics. Let wait and see what happen next, it is still very early to just conclude his political career is over. Tinubu is the brain box behind the merger, he was the one that influence everything including president elect and thank God Buhari acknowledge that fact during the day he collected the certificate of return. Tinubu has slots in the ministerial appointment and that is something Buhari himself will not temper with beside Tinubu knows how to select Genius and technocrat for political post, he is very good at that. He is hated mostly by the South Easterner because he was the brain behind the elimination of GEJ 2nd term. You can never have it all in politics,it is up and down, some goes well and some doesn't.
Tinubu will bounce back stronger!! Mark my word. Pls leave GEJ defeat out of this as d man has already moved on nd even became a hero in defeat. Leave SE out too as nobody has told u we regretted voting GEJ. All the pain d SE might have bc of d absence of apc legislators from d zone has been compensated (even over-compensated) with d emmergence of Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President. In all too d SW was compensated for all their effort in d apc victory with d extra Deputy Speaker position but d beauty of it is dat its not Tinubu annointed candidate and from another dimension d Yorubas now have Vice President, Senate President and Deputy Speaker which I suppose they should be proud of as an ethnic nationality. One man was targetted to be tamed n one man was tamed. Tinubu tot Common Sense Revolution is patented by him not knowing dia are better generals that can give him double dose of his medicine. As it is Buhari has shown dat his ' belonging to everybody n to nobody' is true after all at least on this case till we see his ministerial list to see d other man 'Amaechi' tamed as well. In summary, all d zones have now been accomodated in d apc led FG( remember d Natn'l Chairman is SS, President NW, Vice SW, Senate President NC, Speaker NE, Deputy Senate President SE and Deputy Speaker SW). The experience of Ekweremadu dat contributed to d stability in d 7th Senate n by extension stability of d country will readily help d new Senate to hit d ground running and also see dat d effort n money put into d constitution review headed by Ekwwremadu too ll not be wasted as he is No 2 in d senate. From another angle President (Muslim) his Vice (Christian). Senate President (Muslim) his Deputy (Christian) and Speaker ( Northern Christian) his vice (Southern Muslim) . Sequel to d above, d 6 geopolitical zones, the Muslim/Christian dichotomy, d Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo main 3 ethnic nationality, d CPC/ACN/ANPP/nPDP have all been accomodated n well balanced out in d emerging Nigerian. In all Nigeria win! Godwin ! |

Sweetguy25: This same criminal called Amaechi, who was a renowned miscreant before Odili elevated him in politics by making him a house of assembly member in 1999. He served for eight years and Odili wanted Amaechi to succeed him as governor of Rivers State but emperor Obasanjo rejected his ambition due to the bad image and pedigree of Odili and Amaechi. Omehia emerged as a preferred candidate and after Obasanjo left power, political jobbers and godfathers usurped the judiciary system and installed Amaechi as governor. Amaechi in a bid to look like a repentant criminal, spent his first three and a half years as governor, impressively executing capital projects all over rivers state. After his first tenure elapsed, he was reelected as governor due to the positive image he had garnered from the public. His second tenure ensued, and he spent all of his second tenure in fighting the president. No important capital project was commissioned in all his four years as a second term governor of rivers state. This same amaechi has now become an icon to unsuspecting opposition politicians and their supporters. The chicken will finally come home to roost. We are watching well analysed comment. Amaechi worked in first term but spent all d second term fighting fg without achieving any meaningful capital project. |

mustafo: Wake up old boy! Chibok girls' kidnapping attracted global attention to a conflict that had been festering under the sleeping GEJ. The abductees should have been rescued long ago but it took the abduction of the chibok schoolgirls and the general election to wake up GEJ.
You can't imagine spending efforts and resources on your daughter and she is not coming back home from school because some animals chose to use her as a weapon of war.
We are happy some abductees have been rescued but we will be more happy if those young innocent schoolgirls are rescued too.
Your assertion that the girls were used as a political tool to achieve an aim, makes you stand out like a sore-finger among GEJ's diehards and deviod of rationality. 'more happy' though we were taught happy, happier, happiest especially for adjectives with two syllables ending with 'y' |
