MBS, you don't have the platform to access it. Just submit the ticket ID, and they will review it. kiiiingggggg99: I’m referring to mybankstatement. The thing is I can’t even access it with the password they have but still my uncle has to go to the bank and collect it manually from page to page and scan cause even bank that sent it don’t even know the website to access it, it’s funny and it seems like there’s no lead with that pattern. Congratulations on your admission. No, the time doesn't affect your application; just be ensure to apply 3 - 4 months before your program. Timibankz: Hi everyone,
I recently gained admission to a university in Canada for the Fall 2026–2027 academic year. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how the student visa application process works. I am currently building up my bank account to meet the financial requirements, and it will reach the required 4–6 months of activity by April 2026.
My question is: will this timeline affect my visa application, considering that I received my admission offer in late November 2025 and the Fall semester begins in September 2026?
I would appreciate any guidance or feedback. Thank you in advance. |

Letter of Explanation (LOE) directly addresses the VO concern. There is no point in adding you as a signatory to his account; if he can do that, then he can also send the funds to your account. PA should have access to liquid funds. ColdHunter: Thank you sir.
Do you mean I should refer to the refusal and the grounds of it when I'm wrtitting SOP for a new application. I do not fully understand what an LOE is or how it differs from the regular SOP.
Also, will my husband adding me as a signatory to his account suffice, instead of moving the funds to my own account
I keenly await your feedback. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 9:38pm On Nov 29, 2025 |
The VO might have skipped all that; should you intend to apply again, from your explanation, the VO made a misrepresentation (mistake) of your finances. All these mistakes are what you will explain on your LOE. The funds should be in your account as the PA or a greater part of it. Submit all necessary business or employment documents to back up the source of the fund. ColdHunter: Bullstriker Sopwriter and all the experienced heads.
My study permit was denied last year and part of the issues listed on my GCMS Note was
1. That I stated I recieved funding of 5k from the university, but that ther3s no evidence of such in my application. This isn't true as I attached the letter of funding same way I attached all other documents.
2. The funds for my tuition are in my husband's account which was clearly stated. They argued I didn't provide affidavit that I'll have access to the funds.
3. They also said my husband didn't provided sufficient evidence as to source of the funds. This is despite the fact taht we attached invoices, MOUs and all that.
4. They said I provided limited information between my self and "what appears to be a financial sponsor". This is despite attaching wedding certificate, wedding pictures and even family pictures.
I'm genuinely worried that it appears as though my application wasn't properly read. Infact I did a table of content and bookmarked all images and keypoints, linking them to the table of content.
Kindly advise |

Sorry about the refusal of your study permit; can you share the documents you submitted to back up the POF Milezwadup: I was denied my study permit, 6 days ago, after showing bank statement of 41 million naira, and tuition deposit of $4000, for Humber College. Denied

Sorry about your refusal. The VO saw everything you submitted, including the property sales. The VO did not believe that you actually sold a property. The VO's thought is that the fund is for demonstration purposes. For your co-sponsor, perhaps you only explain, explanation plus documentation makes your case solid. Try to reapply, and ensure the funds are still available in your account. This will prove to the VO that the fund is actually yours. Submit personal documents of your sponsor (passport, NIN slip, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc) Best wishes. Meerahkul: Hello all,
Please I was recently refused, and I want to try again. Any advice please? The lump sum stated is from property sale. The Standard Chartered balance they complained about is not even my source of funds. Just added to show I have a steady income flow from employment etc. and I didn't want to put my school money there.
My aunt in question, is 100% my aunt and I explained this but maybe not enough. Please any advice will be appreciated. |

Since IRCC has already reached out for clarification, explain the mix-up, attach supporting evidence, and confirm that your true school and program match your letter of acceptance. Please find attached the following documents for your verification: My Letter of Acceptance from Niagara College (Welland Campus). The Notice of Work Permit/Co-op letter showing the correct DLI number. A brief email correspondence from Niagara College confirming that my admission is valid under the correct DLI. billyboy: Hi, Gurus in the house. I need an insight in a mistake I made in my application. I am a first time applicant and I got admission to Niagara college for January resumption date. The day I filled my study permit, I was asked for ULI number for institution and checked my admission letter but couldn't find it. Unknown to me me it was on another page of notice of work permit (it's a co-op program). I browsed it and saw the the institution had 2 ULI numbers and picked the wrong one. Last week I got a mail from the campus to that ULI of Niagara college Toronto informing me that they dont have record of them offering admission and the likely think it's Niagara college canada and I should let IRCC know there is a mix up. Yesterday IRCC sends me a mail to respond why the institution they contacted can't verify my admission which I was expecting. I need to know how to couch my reply that makes them understand it was an oversight from my part. I have 7 days to respond. |

I sympathize with you for your study permit refusal; they assess both sufficiency and credibility. They often scrutinize the source more than the balance. Some concern 1. Is the ₦5m/month reasonable compared to the company’s declared turnover, profit margins, and tax returns? 2. Are you the sole proprietor/director of the company? and if not, the salary is not verified through independent payroll. 3. The fact that your husband and children were not involved was positive. However, if all cash and the company are in your own name, the visa officer may believe you may permanently relocate the family later. 4. If you’re the sole manager, they may think the business won’t run without you, casting doubt on your “return incentive.” Your finances were sufficient, but the IRCC most likely did not feel the revenue source was robust, clear, and sustainable enough. They may have perceived the data as "self-inflated" in the absence of independent verification. For a reapplication, you must provide an indisputable trail of cash and demonstrate that your firm would not fail without you. Highlight your husband’s occupation, kids’ school records, and property ownership lara4success: Good day gurus in the house. Appreciate how you have always taken time to solve issues and guided newcomers on how to do it right. More grease to your elbows. Salute!!
I just got a refusal for my study permit application on the ground of finance. I see this as a generic response because I followed every details posted by the gurus here and also from other available resources.
- First off, I run a company with multiple outlets in Nigeria and I pay myself N5m monthly as basic salary excluding other allowances. - I applied for a 2 year PGC program - I am going alone ( I didn’t include my kids and husband) - I attached 2 personal SOA - one has 50m +, the other has 53m+. (Please note that there are no lump sum. All monies were accumulated over time)
- I attached GIC of CA $20,643 for one year living expenses - I have paid one year tuition fee of CA $20,000, just remaining 2nd year (CA$21,000). Receipts were attached - I attached a detailed table of content and financial analysis letter showing that after all payments , I still have a total of CA$92,818.82 in my account (I even quoted the source of the exchange rate info).
- That money will be sufficient to pay the $21,000 for the 2nd year tuition as well as my living expenses and I will still have over CAD 50k left. - I attached my company’s profile, tax clearance and company’s statement of account to show source of funds. I even added each stores Sales Terminal reports to show turnover of sales.
To my surprise , the officer said my finances is not sufficient. The news has left me devastated and I need help on how to appeal this
My class resumes by January
Pls help me 😞😞😞 |

Yes, this might be a problem for you. The VO concern might be, what if your sponsor money ceases? How do you intend to support yourself? It's best you have all the funds available in your account, or the major funds should be in your account. Chiziki: Hello everyone. I have my LOA and PAL and have paid my first semester tuition fee which is almost $10k and I'm almost ready to apply for my study permit. The program is starting in Jan and ends Aug 2026 which is approximately 8months. My major concerned is about the proof of fund. My elder brother who based in the US is my sponsor and will provide every necessary documents for it but the money won't be transferred to my account till I enter Canada. Please will this be a problem? I'm really worried and need a candid advice from gurus in the house. Thank you |

Send evidence of your funding MsLavender: Hello All,
Medical passed on the 28th of August, 2025.
But I got a request email yesterday to submit a confirmation of tuition deposit, but the thing is that I have a professor's funding, so I am not required to pay any deposit until I begin my program. I have registered my courses, and I have PAL—all these without a deposit, if that counts. Now IRCC is requesting a confirmation of the tuition deposit, and they gave me a deadline.
Please, anybody in the house that can give me advice on the way forward, I would really appreciate it. |

Read your story. 1. Your sponsor doesn't need to show their account if the money will be available in your account; you do a gift deed as indicated, notarize it, and show proof of source of income. You can do an invoice to back it up for his business; pictures in the farm are not just enough—that is cheap evidence. Also include your dad's employment documents. 2. Affidavit of sponsorship and notarize it. You don't need to state that the 2M and 3M were loans; it doesn't prove his business is strong. You can claim those funds as sales from castles. 3. Your wife will be left with your family, so they will look after her for you. Hope you have considered living expenses before you conclude that what you need is 15M? greatman2000: I will be extremely grateful if any one can provide some insight in my case here |

It is advisable you have your complete year duration fee available; however, you can give a comprehensive explanation how you plan to fund your second year, and please don't tell them when you start working in Canada. Letter of acceptance from a Designated - Required Learning Institution (DLI) - You must apply to a DLI Proof of financial support (minimum $10,000 per year) - This is not the current amount, Appr. 21,000 to be increased in September. Police clearance certificate - Not necessary Medical exam (panel physician) - Very important, you can use either IOM or Qlife and can also do upfront or wait for a medical request AgentBabs: Good morning, everyone! I saw this via google so I want to confirm if it’s correct and any other suggestions/advice will be appreciated.
• Letter of acceptance from a Designated • Learning Institution (DLI) • Proof of financial support (minimum CAD • $10,000 per year) • Police clearance certificate • Medical exam (panel physician) • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Now, as for the POF, $10k is all I have to hold in my account? If yes, for how many months?
Bless you all 🙏

This is actually for GCMS notes via CBSA. The process might have changed due to a system upgrade, but I am sure this will help.
- Go to Google, search ATIP - Pick the first option from the list of results - when the page opens, click on next - click/mark the privacy box and click continue - on the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down - from the next drop-down, select foreign national outside of Canada - fill out your required information in the boxes below. (Use your Nigerian address and phone number, please.) - Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so - pick member of the public for the category that best describes you - Pick electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records - click continue - on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down - select English in the next drop-down - select case files for the type of records - fill out all necessary information below (for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX) - In the comment box, write a short intro and your request. Eg: Hello/Hi My name is SURNAME, First Second. I have applied for a study permit; my UCI is soso, my application number is soso, and my DOB is soso. I would like to have the notes for my file - then click continue - also click continue on the next page (you don't fill anything here) - you are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info - check the I certify box and click continue - you should receive a confirmation email from CBSA
So u can actually order for your note free of charge.

|

COPIED F1 VISA APPROVED. Interview date 17th June Got approved on 18th June Location: Abuja Nigeria Georgia Southern University. Msc in Physical science.
I arrived at the embassy around 7am because my interview time was scheduled 8am, as we wait outside till is 7:30am before calling us in, firstly they started with 7:30-7:45. Then 8:00-8am na so we all moved in but before then there is a lot of searching which I didn't even boarder coming with both my phone nd anything bag except my file.
As is about my group to move in because they were doing it batch by batch, that's a group of 10 people at once, omooh na so I dey see as them dey throw denial up n down, how u will know one that is been denied is they will be returning back with there passport, because the pepper been issued on that 17th was all white but just a little different from Approved pepper. Now I noticed that Vo at window no 9 gives more approval than window 8 & 7 omooh na so I pray to God make mine be for VO window 9 hand oo.
Now is my turn but unfortunately the woman before me was denied as she was going for holiday nd she has been to US in 2019,but the man told her she wasn't qualified at this point, omooh na so I started shivering oo because I'm next but I took the confidence.
VO: GOOD MORNING, HOW RE U, PASS ME YOUR PASSPORT. ME : I'M GOOD AND YOU VO: I'M GOOD. VO: WHERE ARE YOU GOING? ME: I'M GOING TO GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY TO PURSUE TWO YRS MASTERS DEGREE IN PHYSICAL SCIENCE VO: OH PHYSICAL SCIENCE? ME: YES VO: HAVE YOU TRAVEL TO USA BEFORE? ME: NO, I HAVE NEVER HAVE ANY REASON TO.
While he keep typing, even as he was typing he will turn nd be looking at me, omohh at this point I never blink my eyes from his, it was direct eye contact! VO: ARE YOU SINGLE? ME: YES BUT I'M INTO A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP WHICH UPON MY RETURN WILL GET MARRIED TO HER. after this, he never asked me anything, while he keep typing for a while, I was like is it all, 🤣 as I'm not seeing any questions coming, I just said let me ask him if I will tell him about my research. Omoh the man didn't reply me oo na so I kukuma keep quiet oo. Next thing VO: TAKE THIS WHITE PEPPER, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO AT YOUR END FOR NOW. OMOH, I was like is this just a miracle or what?? Na so I leave ooo.
I must really appreciate God for his shower of grace n mercy towards my journey even when all hope are lost at my end due to my mock interview experience nd performance coupled with panic of submiting my DS-160 6 days to my interview date and all other things yet God really came through for me, who ever that will read this my transcript I wants you to believe that this journey is not how well you prepared but pray for God's mercy, I been dey doubt God's grace till 17th of June everything was like a film to me! He will do it for you too if only you believe. But in all I will advice you to stand firm and confidence when u reach the counter, don't n never remove ur eye contact from the VO.
I really thank my prayer group members who was there encouraging me even when I wanted to schedule another date because of my illness. I appreciate all who by one way made this journey easy and what it is today!!!!!!! |
