Oh okay, it is fine, you need to show proof of the trading
Purpleivy:

Hello, no what I mean is I want to include forex trading as a source of income to explain some lump sum funds in my account. That’s what I’m asking if they will accept someone claiming to have funds from forex trading. Thanks
Travel / Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by JMG12: 6:38pm On May 11
No, but you need to explain the source of funds.
Doctorfitz:

Good day going by your analogy if an account has been averaging let's say 16 - 17million per month does that 20 million still count as lump sum ?

If your husband has been approved for a spouse open work permit, he should indeed proceed to submit his passport for stamping. Once stamped, the passport will serve as proof of his authorization to work in Canada under the open work permit. This step is essential before any further documentation, such as an introduction letter or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), is processed.
Aboffine:
Good afternoon Everyone!

Please, I applied for a spousal open work permit for my husband and I just received a passport request with a correspondences letter. However, he already has a visitor's visa which is still valid, so we didn't apply for a visa. We re surprised to get a PPR instead of an introduction letter to present at immigration in Canada. Please. Has anyone experienced this? What can we do?

Please use a commercial bank for SOA, a traditional marriage certificate is not acceptable even by your govt. you will need news paper publication for a change of name.
Purpleivy:
Good day my people, please very urgent, I’d like to know if forex trading can be used as source of funds for Canada and also can they accept traditional marriage certificate for someone that doesn’t want to do court marriage.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 4:11pm On May 10
No, she doesn't need to transfer the funds to your account, she can pay from her account. upload the receipt of payment as evidence and you can include other documents to prove her source of income.
Devasia:
Good morning everyone.

Please someone should help answer this question.
My sister is acting as my co-sponsor and paying my fees for me but my living expenses and other funds are in my account.
My question, is it necessary for my sister to transfer the fees to my account?

Lump sum depends on the account.
Example: looking through the history of an account that has not carried 20M in one deposit and suddenly such amount was deposited into the account the VO will consider it a lumpsum, also if the deposit is close to the date of submission they will see it used for demonstration purpose. You can sort out the living expenses.
I hope this helps!
Equity15:
good afternoon. Please what is considered a lump sum? Is 4M and 6M considered a lump sum? Assuming someone earns around 3.5M monthly for a self sponsor that has paid around more than half of the school fee. I can sort out the school fee but want to use POF for living expenses.

Have him send the money to your account, he can still act as your co-sponsor even after sending you the funds.
febishola20:

Thanks for the response, I have the full tuition in my account with an active 6 months balance, no lump sum within this period, the sponsor is serving as a co sponsor, he will cover my living expenses, can I proceed or I should still have him send the money to my account?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 3:49pm On May 08
I will advise your sponsor to transfer the required funds to the applicant's account this will demonstrate that the applicant has full access to the funds, and other documents should follow to back the source of the sponsor's income.
febishola20:
Please if like to know if a sponsor’s company account is good for proof of funds, or it has to be a personal account, i need urgent response please

IRCC number you should call them +1 (800) 267-6788
Jonmayer:

Thank you for your response. Do you mean to just call the embassy in Nigeria or is there a special number for these queries?

You can call them and also send webform
Jonmayer:
Hello everyone

Please I need some insight. My brother has been waiting for a response from IRCC for about 6 months, but it’s been radio silence. He applied and did upfront medicals/biometrics since last November, and after the confirmation, there hasn’t been any word from them. I keep hearing that there is huge backlog, but the delay it’s starting to give me concern. He even had to defer his admission. Is anybody else in this boat or is there some action we could take? Thank you.

You can, but preferably use the one you got from the banking hall, because it carries the stamp
Wonder1844:
Good morning all.
Please can I upload account statement downloaded from my bank app to ircc? Or it must be scanned copy I got from the banking hall. Thanks.

Yes, PA can use 2 different accounts just have the required funds and make sure the accounts meet the 4-6 months requirement.
clemosa:
My bosses, can a PA use two of his different accounts to show POF? Let say money in his Fidelity Bank and Wema bank because he cannot move all funds to one bank account.

Please your advice is needed urgently. This is delaying is application for study visa
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 6:01pm On May 03
Congratulations on your full scholarship, what does it cover? because some full scholarship covers living expenses too. If yours only covers tuition then find a way to make up for the living expenses.

Please I need help on how to go about proof of funds. I am self-sponsored and by God's grace I was able to secure full-tuition scholarship from Dalhousie University Canada, something I have chased for 4years now. I have personal saving of about $1,300 dollars and I am still saving up. The challenge is showing proof of living expenses which is about CAD20,635. I have not been able to file in my application because of this. My admission is for September. Please I desperately need help on how to go about this. Thank you.

If your medical will only be updated if it shows a pass not when the medical center sent it. You can contact Qlife if they have sent the result.
mayrhe:
I did mine at Qlife as well on April 19 and 10 working days excluding public holidays suppose to be May 6 for me, however, luckily I got a mail from Qlife yesterday which was day 7 that they've sent my result to ircc, although it has not been updated on my ircc portal.

I didn't submit any webform, my advice is for you to wait till day 10, then you can send an email to Qlife after that day to confirm what's going on if you still receive a mail from Qlife

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 3:29pm On May 02
The old portal can still be used.
Kenn55:

Someone told me that she wanted to use the old portal to apply for study permit and visit visa for her 3 yr old child but saw a statement that says you can only use the old portal for study permit if you are applying together with a family member that requires a work permit. Her child won't require a work permit. It seems this is a new development.
Does anyone understand this?

You can either use the LOE for financial explanation or include it in your SOP
Putin007:

For someone going for a two year program but only have a year of living expenses,

This "plan", will it be written in the SOP or in the LOE of finances. ?

No, please use commercial bank
Olandanswer:

No, you can not use MFB (micro finance bank).

Hi guys, pls can someone use microfinance bank as proof of funds? Hope it doesn't have any effect
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 4:06pm On May 01
For a four-year program, you can show funds for 2 years, while you draft out a plan to pay up for the other 2 years.
igmentality:
Please. im doing a 4 year undergraduate program and my agent is saying that i need to show proof of funds for 4 years. That kind of money is not feasible.. i have enough for the first 2 years. please should i disregard what the agent is saying and go on with what i have ..

I think CAC information can be updated, because the original founders of a company can sell or part of their shares and this will have to be back up with legal documents or the CAC profile updated.

It is advisable to have your complete funds available to you, to avoid telling convincing stories how you will fund the 2nd year.
EbenMayor:
For real? I thought pof is only for one year
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 7:06pm On Apr 28
You need to determine that
POF= 1st year tuition fee + 2nd year tuition fee + 1 year living expenses + 2nd year living expenses
Phemmyadot:
Hello house,

My wife got her PAL for Red Deer Polytechnic last week. How much POF will she need and for how long?

Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 6:56pm On Apr 28
1. Yes, he can apply from inside Canada
2 & 3. He should go ahead to make his tuition fee payment while you and your family can act as his sponsor, submit all required documents, and ensure he does it as if he is applying outside of Canada.
4. Instead of opening an account why not go with the GIC option. I think this will be better because the account might not meet the 4-6 month requirement.
Aibisoye0:
Hello House,

Please I have a quick question. My brother who has a visit visa has recently gotten admission to school here in Canada while on holidays. He was planning to go back in July. Now that he has gotten an admission he will like to apply from here.

My questions go thus:
1. can he apply from here while on a visit visa as inside canada or outside canada?

2. He only has his full Tuition for the one year program and my wife and I are willing to sponsor him and show the living cost balance from our Canadian joint bank statements.

3. What will I need to provide him if we are to stand as his sponsor?

4. Does he need to open a bank account here since he's around and we transfer the funds in there for him to support his application or bank statements/T4/Employment details from both wife and I will suffice?

Please house, I will need clarity on this.. anyone who has been in same situation before.

Thank you.

Okay, it's good your company is willing to support your trip to Ireland and has given some SOA, however, you will still submit your SOA, employment documents, personal documents, and reasons for your visit to the places you intend to visit, what are the things that attracted you. etc
LordCenturion:
Hi Segunagagu, ICaSNg and JMG12

I want to visit Ireland for two weeks, I want to spend my leave there, and I have informed my employer and they have decide to sponsor my travel due to my hardworking(they will only pay ticket fee and a little pocket money) ..
They are preparing my sponsorship letter, my boss has already gave me 6 months bank statement of our company, I have started the process online, please I want you to advise me on proper documents to submit so that I can be granted a visa, thanks...

the duration can not be determined, it can come anytime after medical has been passed kindly be wait and patient
Bohye84:
Hello Gurus!

Please how long does it take for PPR to land after Medical is shown passed, especially for an upfront medical applicant who submitted medical report with the SP application.

Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 3:49pm On Apr 26
Is your dad the one applying for SP? what you are trying to do will likely result in visa refusal. The money should be sent to your account, explain the lump sum with documents, let your uncle be a sponsor, attach his documents, source of income, TCC, CAC, letter of support, board resolution if the company is partnership, proof of relationship. I believe this will help
Daaaz0409:
Please I have more questions regarding this pof

I’m using my dad as my full sponsor but the lump sum is going to be paid into his account from my uncle’s company account,

1. can the money be paid at once or should it be in bits
2. we plan on explaining that he sold one of his landed properties for the money, what are the additional documents that would be required to support the pof.
3. Does he need to submit bank statements from his other accounts? Or just the account with the pof
4. Should he include documents of his other properties or it’s not needed
5. How long should the money stay in his account before we print the statement?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 8:59am On Apr 25
You can schedule an upfront medical without an IME number. Send them an email
Don't submit your application without your account, your hubby should send the funds to your account.
yes, you can sign electronically for those that require it while others you validate the form.
SimiMaya:
Please how do I do upfront medicals with IoM in Abuja without IME number? I cant proceed with the appointment scheduling on the website without it.

Also, I am using my husband’s account and my office is sponsoring me. Actual study leave to return after the program. Is there anything I need to look out for? Can I submit documents signed electronically or it must be wet ink signature? All advice will be appreciated- please.

Thank you
