Yes, your resumption date has nothing to do with the decision time frame.
Eraytee:
Thanks for your response @JMG12, yes I raised webform few weeks back which was acknowledged, after a week of acknowledgment we saw update on tracker on 3rd April. My confusion now is, is it possible for SP application to be approved even when program have commenced?

No, you don't need to, have you raised webform? POE you will show the updated LOA
Eraytee:
Hello everyone, please I need a clarification on this, I want to defer my spouse admission to September 2024 as application is now 16weeks after submission.. last update on tracker shows 3rd of April, school resumes first week of May 2024. If new offer letter is issued do we need to inform IRCC about the new start date?

Will that loan cover for your POF? if it won't you need to complete the required POF, get SOA and the loan letter of approval if the money has not been deposited into your account.

I just got approval for $24800 study loan from.Mpower Financing.

Has any one use them before? How can I add it to my proof of funds?

Let the agent show you a confirmation to verify if he is telling the truth, then you can raise a webform or give it an additional 1 week.
shinaxurdick:
Good afternoon gurus in the house.

My application is now more than 14weeks, without any updates, what is still showing on the portal is ‘’confirmation of online application transmission’’ according to the agent that submitted the application.
And i am to resume class first week of May.

Pls what else can i do, is there a phone number to reach them ?

Thank you 🙏 all.

The new policy will apply to her if she applies to a College or undergraduate program but if it is MSc it won't apply to her
Kamsi99:
Please my sister got her study visa application refused.. even after paying one year tuition!!! She applied on December 30th 2023. We have received her gcms and ready to explain the reasons.

But my question is, Can she reapply immediately or will she be needing attestation letter? Will the new rule of attestation saga apply to her considering the rule was made Jan 22nd.

Did anyone reapply without attestation letter and got response?

Congratulations on your PAL approval next step is to apply for study permit
important areas to cover
1. Proof of funds; It's important to demonstrate that you have the financial means to support yourself throughout your temporary stay. This includes covering tuition fees, accommodation expenses, living costs, and any other related expenses. Providing evidence of sufficient funds through bank statements, sponsorship letters, scholarship awards, or any other financial documentation is essential. Make sure these documents are up-to-date and accurately reflect your financial situation or that of your sponsor.
2. Home ties; This refers to your connections and commitments to your home country that would compel you to return after completing your studies Canada. The VO want to ensure that you have strong reasons to return to your home country once your study period is over. Evidence of home ties could include family ties, property ownership, employment commitments, or any other significant connections. This demonstrates that you have a genuine intention to return to your home country upon completion of your studies and are not planning to overstay your visa.
I hope these helps!

please how long did it take after applying before you got the PAL.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 8:32pm On Apr 06
1. Yes, but you need to prove the relationship
2. It's better you have the funds available in your account, also provide documents to back up the source of funds
3. Yes, it means you have a partial scholarship of 7k
olusola2bello:
Good evening.....please I need answers to a couple of questions
1. Can a non family member(e.g family friend of more than 10 years) be a sponsor for study visa?
2. Should the funds be send to my account or it can be left in the sponsor's account?
3. Admission letter says Entrance award of 7k. That's a scholarship right?

Why do you want to wait after 1 year before you reapply?
You can save it in USD. USD/CAD is stable there is no way CAD will be more than USD.
adebenson155:
Good day guys.

I got denied canada study visa in January.

I have just gotten back my 10,000 CAD tuition deposit and I don't wish to re apply until after one year

Will you advice I change the CAD to naira due to this fluctuation of naira and dollar, or I leave in CAD.

I am scared if I leave it in dollars in my account it might depreciate badly before the time I want to re apply.

I also need advice from people .
I am an Auditor. Which country outside Africa can I migrate to with 10,000 USD.

The University of Regina LOA is usually open for 3 terms, so if you didn't meet up in May, you can join in Sept but still contact the school.

You need to print from the date where there is a huge amount as opening balance and explain all lump sum with documents to back it up.
smartola:
Please house, I will be glad if I have someone to answer my question, Please

I have a gap between my Pof, I hope this won’t have any effect on my pof, between october-January my account run around 15m, from mid February to mid March, I have low balance of around 900k, den from March It increased to around 34 million. My admission is for may, which means time is no longer on my side to build the account for long again, I hope this doesn’t have any much effect if I submit my application like that, I’m a single applicant and I’m self sponsoring myself, I paid 11k out of my tuition deposit already
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 9:58pm On Mar 30
You can go ahead with your submission but if you have the means to pay your tuition you can as well do that, it will also reduce the financial burden
Muslimity:

Thanks @JMG12,

As a matter of fact, my admission offer has only one condition which is to have UNILAG submit my undergraduate official transcript to them (the DLI) before August 1st, 2024.

My admission offer from the DLI has a particular page specifically addressed to IRCC and titled "Letter of Acceptance".

In this Letter of Acceptance, there is a column as follows: "Fees prepaid: Yes or No", and the DLI checked "No".

I am tempted to understand this to mean that tuition deposit is not a requirement by the DLI. I came to this conclusion because there is absolutely no mention of tuition deposit in the admission offer, nor on their website. And throughout the period I was seeking this admission with the DLI, all the school (DLI) have to say is that tuition must be paid before September 1st.

Can I bank on this and go ahead to submit my visa application with IRCC? Or paying some part of the tuition can positively affect the decision outcome of my visa application?

I need your experienced advice, please.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 2:35pm On Mar 30
That is not true, the school might give you conditional admission it means you are to fulfill all conditions stated on your letter of acceptance, but if there is no condition then you can submit your study permit.
Muslimity:

Dear JMG12,

Thanks for all you have doing, assissting others with valuable advice.

I heard that IRCC new policy now requires every study visa applicant to pay full first year tuition fees before submitting their visa application. I have researched far and wide just to confirm this claim but it seems the information is scanty and scarce. Even, I couldn't lay my hand on such information on IRCC website.

Please, could you help to clarify.

Where to start is looking up the list of DLI schools in Canada, you can google, but here is the link

As Ontario and other provinces have completed the PAL, applications are now extremely competitive; picture 9,000 kids fighting for 5,000 spots (NBC). Some PALs are one-time applications, which means they only have one chance to apply and be accepted. Please do not make the error that you have been making. What did not affect master's and Ph.D. applications is PAL, so these categories can be resubmitted; nevertheless, if the school or province already has the requisite number, the rest of the application will most likely be refused without sufficient cause. Before submitting your study visa application, you should be extra careful to properly package your application, close all ends, and conduct your due diligence.

All the best

reasons for denial was about finances that i didnt have money of my own to sustain me during my stay in canada. my sponsors were my company ( owned by me) and brother so i have been advised to also put money in my personal account, use my personal acct statement, company account and brothers statement before reapplying

i have sent mails to the school to defer admission to september 24 but no response till now
