Yes, you can change your interview location from Lagos to Abuja, and it generally won’t cause any problems, even though your DS-160 lists Lagos — as long as your appointment is booked in Abuja and you show up there.

I have also started filling the appointment form on usvisappt website and selected Lagos as place of interview. But after payment I realized there is no date available in Lagos but there dates available in Abuja.

Please can I pick the Abuja location for interview and there won’t be any problem on interview day regarding this?

There is enough time for you to submit your application; check with the new policy if the program covers dependents. Been in the uk doesn't make any difference as long as you meet the requirement; your visas will be approved.

I am a 17 year old that graduated from secondary school at July 1st 2023 (I had to wait 2 years at home because I wasn’t mature enough) and I applied for the Software Development program at SAIT at February 28th 2025 and got my LOA on the same day. I got my PAL at March 17th 2025. How can I write my LOE and SOP in such a way that will convince the visa officer that my study plan is good and I’ll come back after my studies. All my siblings have gone through this process and they all stay in Canada, I also have a US B1/B2 visa and a Schengen visa. The company's account can be used; is there tax clearance certificate? if there is non then you can send the funds to your account and state it was a gift from your sponsor.

You can use a self-sponsor, or combine with a family sponsor. Wherever you are applying from finance is something you should plan properly. Look at your income, and ensure it can cover the deficit, if not combine with a family, ensure both sources of funds and income should be able to cover the deficit. Because once you walk in there your record with the US starts.

Deficit is debt (balance) example if your tuition is 50k and you have partial funding, of 35k, the deficit there is 15k which is the money you need to complete your tuition fee, the consula will ask you about it.

Your father's E-tax certificate wasn't clear enough for the VO to make a proper analysis, Your monthly income doesn't equate to the amount on record. You will properly explain to the VO how you earn such an amount with documents.

There is a difference between source of funds and source of income; in your case, source of income can't equate the money on record. Try to explain the source 45M closing balance. I hope there is no lump sum in the account. Also let the husband attach a sponsorship letter for the 10M.

Yes, it is possible to change your program when reapplying for a U.S. student visa, but you need to justify the change properly to avoid raising red flags. Because it is already in your record so be prepared to explain and convince the consola why the change, also if your previous refusal was related to doubts about your study plan or ties to your home country, an unclear program change could make things worse. Since your sister-in-law is your sponsor, the I-20 should ideally state "family funds" or "sponsor (sister-in-law)" instead of "personal funds."
