You can change course, but you will need to do that before your SP application.
YulPapparrazi:
Can we change course when we gain admission? Because I’d be replying and my files are already plugged in

Change course that all. Or use EE.
YulPapparrazi:
These courses are not my course eh, Canada really wants to discourage int’l students
Can there be a way out ? Can these laws change?

After liquidating the funds kindly back it up with document to proof its source, you can use any of the account however I strongly recommend you include your salary account in your application.

If your visa was issued very recently, there might be a slight delay in receiving the POE Introduction Letter. It can take a few days after the visa is approved. Most times your stamped passport is returned before it will show. You don't need to worry.
Eckimalu:
Good morning all, please I need further clarification, I have gotten my visa days ago but there's no port of entry introduction letter yet and I learned that it is mandatory at the border for study permit proper. My question is, what should I do now?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 5:28pm On Sep 12, 2024
4 months SOA is what is required however you can wait till 6 months before you apply again. Is it a new account?
Daaaz0409:
Oh, that means I don’t have to wait for 6 months?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 5:19pm On Sep 12, 2024
If the funds has been in your sponsor's account for 4 months, you should still use the same sales of property to explain the lump and attach other documents to proof the finance of your sponsor.
Daaaz0409:
Hi my Ogas please I’d like to just confirm something regarding Pof, my initial application was rejected became of lump sum even though I included the sales documents of the property that was sold. Rn the money(52m) has spent 4 months in my dads bank account. I would just like to ask what the best way is.
1. Should we leave the money there for 6 months then apply again? Will that change anything?
2. I read on the thread that people buy GIC, is that a better option?
3. An agent advised that we convert the money to drafts or some form of money market fund
All inputs will be appreciated. I want my next application to scale through without this pof hassle. Thank you all 🙏🏻

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 4:13pm On Sep 12, 2024
You don't need to worry, 3 months to the expiration date you should apply for extension from inside of Canada.
febishola20:
Thank you for your response, I just got my passport back now, and it’s only valid for 9 months, the visa would have expired before the start of the program , that is September next year... I’m really starting to get worried now
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 6:13pm On Sep 10, 2024
No, I have someone who got his visa last year, deferred one, and had to apply to the same school and program since Uni Calgary only allow for 1 deferment, the said person just entered Canada last week. His visa will expire next year dec, and was issued 2 years SP at POE.
febishola20:
Omo, does this mean this study permit is gone

If possible, thoroughly analyze the ineligibility message to identify any flaws in your revised NOC (22311) profile. The NOC change may have influenced other criteria, such as your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. You can try altering these factors inside the same account to make yourself eligible again. If the system does not enable you to resolve your ineligibility issue in the current account, you could consider opening a new account and selecting the right NOC (22311) from the beginning.
NB: To prevent duplication issues, ensure that the former profile is closed or deactivated before creating a new account. You do not want to appear to have numerous profiles active at the same time.
Bullish99:
Hello great minds! I need your candid advise on way to go pls.

This morning, I realized my initial NOC (72205) I got in the pool with isn't the correct one, I made an adjustment to NOC (22311) they both have close similarities however, I found out the 22311 best describe what I do currently.
Immediately I updated it, my profile became ineligible.

I currently have a refused visit visa (Home tie issue) under same account (which made me have an active biometrics). My initial EE profile got expired in July and I created another (which is now ineligible) on the same account and got back in the pool in August. My question now is that, can I create another account entirely while selecting the NOC 22311. Or get back in the pool with same account.

Rescheduling the visa interview till after your new passport is obtained is the safest option. It may cause a delay in your procedure, but it will guarantee that you follow the six-month rules.
VincentTobe:
Good day please . I have applied for a new passport but my capturing is scheduled on the day of my visa interview. The passport isn’t expired, but it expires a month after my program in the U.S ends and the new embassy policy is to come with a passport 6 months beyond program end date( as stated on the appointment confirmation)
My passport expires in 2026, should I proceed with my current passport for visa interview or should I cancel the visa appointment and go for my passport capturing and wait for a new interview date. Please I need your help

NEW ADMISSION PROCESS FOR POLAND.

The below must be done before you apply to any Polish school.

👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

As per the recent directives from the Polish Government, all international applicants intending to study in Poland must have their diplomas issued outside Poland legalized and obtain a certificate of equivalency (Nostrification). This certificate is only issued in Poland

To obtain this certificate of equivalency (Nostrification), please follow these steps:

To receive the Decision of the Superintendent of Education confirming that your educational documents meet the standards of secondary education in the Republic of Poland and qualify you to apply for first-level (bachelor's) higher education, you will need the following documents and actions:

Legalization of High School/ Bachelor Degree Diploma

1.1. Legalize your diploma at the embassy/consulate of the Republic of Poland in the country where the diploma was issued or obtained an Apostille. Please note that some embassies/consulates require the diploma to be authenticated by the Ministry of Education or Foreign Affairs before legalization.
1.2. If the diploma was issued in a country that is a member of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, authentication and legalization are not required, provided the diploma has an Apostille seal.
Supplementary Documents

These documents should include the following information, if not already included in the diploma:
(a) A list of grades obtained in the final examination or for completing a stage of education.
(b) A list of subjects and classes completed during the stage of education, along with the grades obtained.
(c) Information on the curriculum, including educational content, scheduled study time, and grading scale.
(d) An eligibility certificate indicating your right to continue education at the appropriate level in the country where the diploma was issued, including eligibility to apply for higher education.
These documents should be issued or certified by the school or educational institution or by the educational authorities of the country where the diploma was issued.

Sworn Translation into Polish

The legalized or Apostille-stamped diploma, supplementary documents, and eligibility certificate must be translated into Polish by one of the following:
(a) A translator registered by the Polish Minister of Justice.
(b) A translator registered in a member state of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), or the OECD.
(c) A consul of the Republic of Poland in the country where the diploma was issued.
(d) A diplomatic or consular post accredited in Poland from the country where the diploma was issued.
If translating the documents by the entities listed above is not feasible, the school superintendent may accept translations made by other entities, provided their credibility is not in doubt.
Identity Document (Passport) and a Copy
Authorization (if an Attorney is Involved)

With these documents and their copies, you or your representative should submit your application to the Opolskiego Kuratorium Oświaty for recognition of your educational documents. The recognition process may take up to 30 days and can be extended in certain cases.

For more information, visit: Recognition of Foreign School Certificates and Diplomas in Poland.

Best wishes to everyone!!!

I can see that my name is still in your previous post after you discovered that you confused me with another individual, JustMellow. I want to clarify that I have no involvement in the matters discussed in those posts nor have any connection to the issues mentioned.

I kindly request that you take immediate action to remove my name from all relevant previous posts by modifying all the posts you mistook me for the said person. It is a straightforward request and easy to do, and I expect prompt attention to this matter as the content inaccurately associates me with something I have no part in.

It is typically unnecessary to submit scans of all of your PoE (Port of Entry) stamps with your study permit application, especially when you have already supplied all passport data sheets and visa pages. Prioritize recent and relevant travel. focus on the last five years of your travel history. Include only the entry and exit stamps for relevant countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, and other EU nations. If possible, combine relevant entry and exit stamps into a single document to save space.
DTravel:
Hi All.
I’m currently completing my study permit application.
I have extensive travel history from childhood. I included all my passport data pages and visa pages. Do I have to include scans of all my PoE stamps gotten while traveling?
The passport upload document size is already 2MB on the dot.
Any advise helps. Especially from any who has gotten PPR

1. Deferring to take a Pre-Health course might not negatively impact her IRCC application, but it could complicate things. IRCC may question the relevance of this course to her original study plan for Practical Nursing. If she chooses this route, she should inform IRCC promptly about the program change and ensure that it aligns with her career goals in healthcare.
2. There is no potential risk if she defer to F2025, it will only cause a delay in your family plan
3. Raise a webform about the urgency, if no response then plan to defer the program.
thetaxman:
Seeking Advice on Study Permit Application Dilemma

My wife is facing a challenging situation with her study permit application for Practical Nursing at St Clair College. Despite submitting her application on July 18, 2024, with an upfront medical, the school is urging her to defer admission to January 2025. However, the January intake does not offer Practical Nursing, and the next available session is September 2025.

Her concerns are:

1. Can she defer to January 2025 and take the Pre-Health course without negatively impacting her IRCC application?
2. Should she wait until September 2025 for the Practical Nursing course, and what potential risks or consequences might arise from deferring?
3. How can she navigate this situation effectively, given her anxiety and our significant financial investment ($8000 deposit)?

We would appreciate honest advice and guidance from experienced individuals to help us make an informed decision

Although you were not truthful in her application, you could have used other things as her home ties, at this point just wait for her decision.
jayciekey:
Hello everyone, I need your inputs.

I applied for a study visa in December 2023. I was approved in January 2024 (my studies is to begin in September 2024). I am enrolled in a diploma program in a college.

In April 2024, while I was still in Nigeria, I put in a visit visa application for my wife because they had banned SOWP for spouses of students in diploma programs.

While we were applying for my wife's visit visa in April, I was still in Nigeria so we applied for my wife's visit visa independently and that she's going to Canada as a tourist (tourist visa). I didnt mention my study visa in her application and also used myself her one of her hometies since I was still in Nigeria at the time of applying for her visit visa.

We haven't gotten a decision on her visit visa yet... This month (August) I have now arrived Canada to begin my studies next month (September) and I have gotten my study permit.

My question now is, do you think i should raise a webform on my wife's visit visa application to update IRCC about my studies? Or should we just wait for a decision?

Another thing to note is that my wife is currently pregnant and may deliver this month or next..

So what would you advise we do or how would you advise we proceed at this point? Thanks as I await your responses

Sorry about your refusal, submitting 13 pages of SOP does not guarantee an approval, since you have ordered the GCMS note let it come out first, what might be the issue is TCC, you submitted a registered company without TCC.
Marcgrace:
Hello @Bobomaigida
Thank you.
I submitted a comprehensive 13-page (SOP) document, accompanied by a detailed explanation of the Proof of Funds (POF). The submission also included documentation of a substantial annual pension fund, supported by a CAC Nigeria certificate, as well as evidence of an additional income stream from a rice investment, along with the Rice company's CAC Nigeria certificate.
I will go ahead and request a GCMS note.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 8:48pm On Aug 17, 2024
Yes, it's important to explain the sudden increase in your sponsor's account balance to avoid any suspicion from VO.
[b]In the sponsorship letter[b], you should mention that the funds were acquired by selling two properties. Provide details of the sales, including the dates, the amounts received, and the purpose of the sale.
[b]In your SOP[b], you should briefly mention that your sponsor recently sold properties to fund your education. Emphasize that the funds were obtained legally and specifically earmarked for your studies.
Finally attach all supporting document to proof this
Edrick:
Hi guys. Good evening.

My sponsor (parent) recently sold two of his lands on seperate occasions and the money was sent to his account. The thing is the amount in the account before wasn’t up to required POF and now there’s a lump sum in the account.

Is it necessary to provide a section to explain this on his sponsorship letter to explain this situation (in addition to the deeds from this sales) and do I still need to do explain this in my SOP?

In general, being refused an F-1 visa does not impact your existing B1/B2 visa, because these are independent visa categories with different objectives.
Amydah:
Hello House,
I have been following this thread for a while and it has really been of great help. Kudos to everyone. However, I am in need some clarification . I hold a Bsc in Accounting and EMBA in Operations and Production Mgt both from OAU with 6 years work experience in the banking industry. I have a valid B1/B2 visa. Had my baby in the US last year and paid all hospital bill in full before coming back home
I want to pursue a Masters in Business Analytics for Fall 2025 semester.
1). Kindly give recommendations of schools that provide full funding and GA for Fall 2025. with high acceptance rate(would greatly appreciate a hold with GRE waiver)
2). Is a MSc in Business Analytics in line with my undergraduate and MBA degree. I’m afraid the VO may ask why I want to pursue another Masters and may deny me.
2). In the case where I am not granted a F1 visa, does it affect my B1/B2 visa?

Apologies for my lengthy write up and I look forward to your responses.
Thank you.
