CONCERN
1. Be prepared to explain the relationship and why your sister-in-law is sponsoring you and not your immediate family or yourself. This is a Non-immediate support/sponsor.
2. The officer will ask why you’re taking your family along. A good response would be to explain that having your family with you will provide emotional support while you focus on your studies, but emphasize your intention to return home after graduation.
3. Large family accompanying you, the consular officers may see this as a sign of intent to settle in the U.S. You will need strong evidence of home ties and a clear study plan.

a. Practice mock interviews to build confidence.
b. Stay calm and positive during the interview.
c. Be truthful, consistent, and concise in your responses.

When applying for a new study permit after transitioning to a second program while already in Canada, you are still required to demonstrate sufficient proof of funds to satisfy IRCC that you can support yourself during your studies.

Welcome to this thread, you need to find a university that accepts your class of graduation, and before you select a program you also need to consider your work experience if you have any.

If your visa application is still valid, you do not need to pay the MRV fee again or start the entire process from scratch. The DS-160 form is valid for one year, and the MRV fee receipt is also typically valid for one year from the payment date. Bring both your old and new I-20 forms to your visa interview. Ensure that your SEVIS record has been updated by your school to reflect your new program start date.

I need you're advice. Due to how long the preapproaval stayed I missed my program start date for spring semester. Although I have deferred to fall semester, do I just go for the interview with both my old and new I-20. Or do I have to pay another MRV Fee and start the entire process again. 1. The 9-month program is eligible for a visa, if you meet the requirements your study permit will be approved.
2. Your brother should send the funds to you or he should pay the tuition fee, while you upload the receipt originating from him and provide his SOA with the required amount while you as the PA should submit your SOA let some amount be in your acct. your brother and is wife should co-sign a sponsorship letter, notatrized over there in the USA, with employment documents and legal status document.

I got accepted in to a 9 months program in Canada, a DLI school, I heard it's difficult getting a study permit for 1 year programs, also I'm pretty sure I do not have the proof of fund, my brother is the one sponsoring me, he's a permanent resident in US and works there, his wife works as a nurse, they'll both be sponsoring me if necessary, and are ready to sign a notorized letter of sponsorship..
I'm very pessimistic about this and I've put on hold paying acceptance fee till when I can get some clarity regarding if my brothers statement of account will the sufficient for proof of fund and if I even have a chance with the program being a year..
Any one with advice and/or information is appreciated

Same process, just the way the lien was removed before printing out the SOA the same way they should remove the lien before processing the MBS and sent to the ircc, while you upload the ticket number on your portal.

I applied for my daughter's study permit as she is 6 years old. I used my husband's account and we have been asked to provide his statement from August till January through mybankstatement. How does mybankstatement work with liened amount? Before i printed the statement of account i attached on her application, the bank unliened the amount and it was showing in my husband's statement of account.
I am kind of confused. If the bank releases the funds into my husband's available balance before processing the mybankstatement, will the total amount be visible to the embassy? because the bank will place a lien on the amount after the process is completed.

It's a good plan, but financial readiness is vital using the school route, Mpower will take care of your tuition if you get approved, living expenses is another thing you need to prepare yourself for. You need to plan this adequately before embarking in this journey.

NBCC PAL expired on 22nd Jan, request for a new PAL, they will issue one within 5 - 10 working days and update it through webform.

I submitted my application on the 21st, which was the same day of my PAL expiration. Matter of fact there was no 21st prompt on the PAL date, so I chose 22nd and submitted on that same 21st.
Will this cause any issues with my application? Is there anything I can do?

2. Pay the Required Fees, check if ETSU requires you to pay any enrollment deposit before they issue you the I-20 form.
3. Submit Financial Documents; ETSU will require you to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover tuition, living expenses, and any additional fees. Check your LOA for the necessary documents to prove your financial capability. Such documents can be SOA, scholarship letter, and letter of sponsorship.
4. Complete the I-20 Request Form and submit.

Yes, in most cases, you are required to upload your I-20 form on the AVITS portal during the process of scheduling your visa appointment.
For the later No, it is not advisable. The I-20 form you bring to the embassy must match the one you uploaded and used to schedule your interview. The information on the I-20 is cross-checked with your SEVIS record and DS-160. If there is a mismatch, the Visa Officer may question your intent or the legitimacy of your application, which could lead to a denial.

I have reviewed your GCMS note; submitting a multiple account for you and your spouse was a problem for the VO. Try to minimize the number of accounts to at least 2; above 2 bank accounts might pose a problem. Consolidate funds: transfer funds from multiple accounts into one or two primary accounts. This simplifies the VO’s review process and demonstrates financial preparedness clearly. If it’s not possible to consolidate, include a Letter of Explanation (LOE) detailing why multiple accounts are being used. Your financial documents should be legible for the VO. Do not assume it is clear after compression; ensure to preview before uploading your documents. Ensure to calculate the required amount you will be needing for you and any accompanying members and back it up with documents to proof its source.

- Pick the first option from the list of results
- when the page opens, click on next
- click/mark the privacy box and click continue
- On the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down
- from the next drop-down, select foreign nationals outside of Canada
- Fill out your required information in the boxes below
- Use your Nigerian address and phone number, please)
- Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so
- Pick a member of the public for the category that best describes you
Pick an electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records
- Click continue
- On the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down
- Select English in the next drop-down
- Select case files for the type of records
- Fill out all necessary information below (for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX)
- In the comment box, write a short intro and your request. Eg:
Hello/Hi

After going through your GCMS note, it is clear that the funds are for demonstration purposes. For a 41-year-old to be sponsored by his brother-in-law, it does not suit you not to talk of VO. Let the brother-in-law send the funds to the PA account and do a notarized gift deed clearly stating that the funds are an unconditional gift, provided solely for the PA's education and related expenses; provide documents that demonstrate the brother-in-law's financial capacity and the source of the lump sum. letter of explanation (LOE) from the brother-in-law addressing why he is supporting the PA.

- I submitted my dad’s personal account, his business account and my own personal accounts.
- He transferred some money to my account(30m) and we did a gift deed affidavit.

My application was refused based on financial reasons. After requesting for my GCMS notes, I found out that they focused more on my dad’s business account which had some lump sums and they didn’t even check my personal account.

Now, to move forward, I want to pay my complete tuition and I intend to use only my account which has #30,000,000 as POF for living expenses because I don’t want my dad’s account to complicate things. The money has been in my account for 4 months. Do you think that will be enough?

They plan to open it this January and then run it for 4 months (may). Then I submit application June beginning.
