Yes, you will need to apply for a visit visa for her and get her passport, birth certificate with prove and also POF to cover for her too.

Hi everyone, I have a baby that's about a year old and my spouse is currently applying for SOWP. I already have my visa stamped.

Question:
What do I need for my baby?
Do I need to apply for a visit visa?

Thanks!

Yes, you will have to pay someone to get an appointment, please don't pay till they give you a date it is safer that way.

If you can't provide that, try to provide a payslip but there should be monetary evidence

You will have to send an updated SOA every week or month because the exchange rate might keep increasing, it is only those who haven't submitted their application that need to worry about it.
Eraytee:
If it wont affect our application truly then no need for it. We applied 19th December 2023, we uploaded e-medical on Saturday 10th February. Thanks a lot for your input

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 1:28pm On Feb 12
It depends on the program and institution, if your LOA is from College you will need the attestation letter but if your program is MSc you don't need it.
sherryju:
I need help with this if I am to reapply since I have just been refused, will I need this province attestation letter to submit my application
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 1:27pm On Feb 12
If your SOA meets the requirements when you submitted the application you don't have to worry about the current rate if it will affect the VO decision, if they need an updated SOA you will be informed.
evansky:
@JMG12 please I have a question.

I sponsored my spouse with my access bank with a closing balance of 15m and her visa was just approved. Due to this new policy, I have applied for SOWP with same access bank and a closing balance of 14m and also used my father in-law’s account that has a closing balance of 12m. Total 26m, is that okay to show financial strength? I am now worried about this current rate because we applied when the rate was 665.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 10:24am On Feb 12
Please don't send an updated statement since they didn't request it. When did you apply?
Eraytee:
Good day everyone, Please I need your input on this, my spouse study permit application is in process and we want to submit an updated POF even though we weren't asked for it, we are doing this because of the way the value of naira is depreciating, I hope we are not doing over sabi or should we just wait for them to ask for it?

There is always a transmission fee even if you are submitting it where you did the Biometrics, I will suggest you go to the biometric center or their office within the UK and submit there do whatever you are told.
jogojogo:
Guys, I need urgent response please...
I got a passport request 4 days for my Kids to join their mum in Canada.
What are the steps in doing this if I am to send to DHL?
What are the associated fees please?
I learnt there is a transmission fees if you are submitting to a different Visa Office other than where Bio-metric is done.
In this case, Bio-metric was never done as they are below the age requirement but my Statement of Purpose was address to the Lagos Visa Office, though upfront medical was done in Abuja
Someone is submitting on my behalf and I need to guide him.
I am currently in the UK

When an international student changes institution, the college or university notifies the IRCC that he or she is no longer registered to study there. So you must notify IRCC to avoid being deported hoe to do this is easy. Login to your IRCC portal and click on “Transfer from DLI number” under the section “Designated Learning Institution Student Transfer. Then follow the actions as seen on the portal.

Quick question on behalf of someone:

I'm currently enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Georgian College, Ontario for the January to April 2024 semester and have been accepted into the same program at a Lethbridge college in Alberta, starting in September 2024. Is it permissible according to IRCC regulations for me to end my studies at Georgian College after the first semester in April 2024 and wait until September 2024 to begin my studies in Lethbridge? Specifically, what steps should I take to ensure my study permit remains valid during the break from April to September?

I'm changing school and province cos of family unification.

That is where the problem lies, your sponsor had 650k CAD in his account not you the PA, and no one will approve your study visa with such an individual sponsor. I'm sure your uncle has a family over there. It is not enough to use a sponsor there are things you consider and analysis o make before using a sponsor acct that the VO is not convinced you don't have access to.
Gabriel2005:

Okay my first study permit was denied based on insufficient funds in the GSCME note it was stated no proper documentation for the source of income to the bank statement like income tax and pay stub
I am sponsored by my uncle so the second application I dropped 2 bank statements showing 650k cad dropped my sponsor certificate of incorporation he’s tax income he’s status report if he’s holding company so many more yet was still denied my school agent ( who is in Canada said I should appeal that my application was a strong one but I am fed up with its Canada that why I want to try Ireland
And yes I will soon her my offer letter so please tell me what I can do to get Irish study visa
Travel / Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by JMG12: 4:40pm On Feb 09
Having enough funds doesn't guarantee your study permit will be approved share details about the refused study permit. Have you been given an offer?
Gabriel2005:
Please my dear Naira landers I tried Canada study permit 2wice both denied 2wice even if I showed very large funds with credible source of income I was adviced to do appeal both that takes to long I want to try Ireland study permit please I’m new here gurus shower your knowledge on me on Irish study visa processing is it difficult ? You can renew it now and send it to the embassy to avoid a long process when your passport expires.

Please I need some advice on passport matters; I will be going for fall 2024, and my program end date is on April 2026, and my passport expires on May 2026, should I just renew my passport now before sending it to the embassy or should I just use it like that till 2026 and then renew it.

If your program is MSc you can reapply for SOWP for your wife. Each application is assessed on its own merits. Treat her application as if she is applying alone
AskGod07:

I have gotten my study visa since August with my own bank statement while my wife submitted her own bank statement for her application along with kids.

I didn’t take out from my own POF

Can I apply visitor visa for them this time around or reapply for SOWP& Study permit for the kids

You can indeed apply for reconsideration or appeal the decision. However, it's important to understand that during the application process, all documents you submit are critically reviewed, regardless of the section they are uploaded in. When applying for reconsideration or appealing the decision, you should gather all relevant documentation and evidence to support your case. This might include:
1. Ensuring that all necessary financial documents are visible and properly labeled.
2. Clarifying any discrepancies or misunderstandings that may have arisen during the initial review process.
3. Providing additional documentation supporting your financial stability and ability to fund your studies in Canada.

Goodluck!
Zannix:
Good evening guys, i just got my notes...kindly weigh in pls.

1yrs program, self sponsor, traveling alone.
Tuition 14k Cad...paid 6k cad. POF 29m.

Source of funds...my 5yrs old biz, registerd and active. Biz documents provided...cert of incorporation, memert, form cac 1.1, annual return receipts, biz instagram handle, prev promo fliers, screenshots of messages showing customers orders, 4months sales invoice, savings account showing pmt from customers and pmt to my suppliers.

I avoided TCC, i don't use my company account due to charges.

I also mentioned i worked in the bank for 8yrs before going into biz.

Due to file size, i uploaded my proof of source of income/biz documents under photo id section. I removed it from POF section because i couldnt compress further. I dont know if this very act is the reason why i was denied.

Pls is reconsideration a viable option for me?

Contributions pls.

You can use oanda rate; it is convenient that is what the UK uses.
Cindy101:
Hello everyone, please what is the current exchange rate visa officer use for Ireland visa app ,I am currently putting together my documents for my visa application,I got admission at DBS, data analytics higher diploma,my school fees is 10,050 euro,I have paid 6k to balance up the rest when I get there,I currently have a total of 17m in my account for pof,I will like to know if that is sufficient for my visa application.
Please I hope the Ireland visa guru’s are here
I really need to know if I am on the safe side.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by JMG12: 3:42pm On Feb 08
Don't bother yourself about the exchange rate, provided the statement of account you submitted has the required amount. Close balance which is the date you print to doesn't reflect your actual balance when your application will be considered and your acct verified. Just make sure your SOA is accurate.
MrBnet:
Hello Gurus,

I hope everyone's doing great. I need your advice on a situation I'm facing. So, I submitted my Express Entry application yesterday and got my AOR not long after. But, for the past week, the exchange rate has been all over the place. I had 12M saved up and planned to submit on the 1st of Feb when the rate was 16,442 according to Oanda. I couldn't submit that day, and to my surprise, the next day the rate had dropped to 13,474.1. Omo, I was shocked! I had to add an extra 1M to make it 13M and submitted yesterday with the rate at 14,636.4 at the time of submission.

Then this morning, I wake up to see that the same 13M is now valued at 13,669.4, which is below the required rate. And at this point, predicting the rate for when my application is reviewed is just impossible. So, I'm considering converting all my funds to dollars and putting it in a domiciliary account, then raising a CSE to inform them that due to the exchange rate fluctuations, I had to convert all my funds to dollars and would like to submit the dollar account as the new proof of funds.

Can anyone confirm if this approach will be acceptable, especially since I'm already Post-AOR?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Yes, she needs to submit her SOA and let her account carry the higher percent of the POF. The uncle can transfer 70–80% of the money to her account

good evening house... My wife recently applied for masters in a university in Canada.
Her uncle who also doubles as her boss has decided to sponsor her and is ready to provide all necessary documents. My question is after providing his statement of account and all, does she still need to show that she has funds for POF in her account or her uncles SOA will suffice?

Yes, it is safe, to prevent having your admission revoked by the school, pay your tuition fee and send the receipt to ircc using the webform.
Toniamelody:
Hello everyone,

Please house I need your advice. I am yet to receive an update from IRCC concerning my study visa. The final date to complete my tuition is next week Tuesday. Currently, I don't have the money now. Is it safe if I use part of my proof of funds to pay up? My concern is that I have not gotten a decision from IRCC and I don't know if it is safe for me to do that.
Someone should please advise on this.
