boladez:

If GEj had relocated to Borno three years ago with his service chiefs and key ministers, we would have had a political or military solution to BH ever since, he mentioned at the last media chat that for over two years he did not go to Borno because it was not safe to do so! forget it, we need someone with balls of steel not a guy who sits on the desk after being subdued by even his wife.

I am sure you would have a different opinion if your family of loved one perished through Boko, jambs, or accident due to our bad roads.
Oh, this argument has taken another desperate dimension, so the solution now is for him to relocate with his household, all his service chiefs, and all the ministers to Borno state? Hahaha. What difference will it make if he goes there? He has all the intelligence and information at his beck and call at Aso Rock. So what else is he going to be doing when he gets to Borno state? Put on his khaki and soldier boots and go into the trenches to combat them face to face just to prove to you that he has balls, abi? Is it when he does that that you'll know he's trying?

All of you pointing to the issue of BH are not well schooled in the art of guerilla warfare. You can't just open your mouth and say anything just because other people are talking.

It took the mighty United States with all its military technology and might 10 YEARS to stiffle al-Qaeda. US soldiers have been in Iraq and Afghanistan for over a decade now, but they've not been able to stiffle the Taliban. Just few days ago, al-Shabab militants struck at a shopping mall in Nairobi and held people hostage in the complex for 4 days before the military was able to regain control of the building.

The Sicillian Mafia has been active in Italy for several decades now and many Italian governments have come and gone yet they've not been able to solve this problem. The same goes with drug cartels in Mexico and Latin America, the Basque Liberation Movement in Spain and France, the Shinning Path in South America and the Islamist militants in the Caucusus region of Russia. It's everywhere. It's known as guerilla warfare and it's very difficult to tackle.

You are just displaying your ignorance . . .

For over 3 years now a particular sect has constantly terrorized this country and instead of fighting them, the government is hiding from them.

We've seen how other countries take decisive actions against terrorist attack, but here, our President is asking us to pray . . . .that only God can save us!

BH is not some random terrorist group, it appears to have come to stay and our President has resigned himself to fate. Thousands of people are dead and yet he does NOTHING . . . . . . His actions make mockery of his title as the CSO of this country . . .

The fact that you are defending him shows how little your brain capacity is . . . You should tell that to the families of BH victims and watch how that consoles them! SMH.
What will you call the state of emergency he declared in some northern states a few months ago? Was that not a decisive action? It severely weakened them and rendered them highly ineffective until recently after the state of emergency had been relaxed. Please if you don't know what to say keep away from this thread.

So who should I carry for head? Buhari? You can never take Nigeria back to the ice age, if you are so in love with Buhari you might as well build yourself a time travelling machine and take your sorry self back to the 1980s where you can have him all to yourself. Hello, wake up. This is the 21st century; year 2013 to be precise. We'll continue to breathe this fresh air till 2019. If e dey vex you cover your nose. Nigeria is surrounded by 4 countries, if you can't stand GEJ, you can relocate to any of them.

Pataki:

This is the most utterly ridiculous comment or argument for the month. Please spare us from reading further out of your empty skull.

When an attack is repeatedly brought against innocent harmless citizens of a country, the buck ends at the table of the president. Who is the Commander in Chief of this country? He was elected to protect the interest and safety of this country and its citizens. Please just shut up and sod off here if you are too emotional about that doofus who calls himself GEJ.

Lastly, when last did you do a brain scan? You don't seem to have a rational mind for intelligent political discourse.
Your so-called analysis is devoid of cohension and rationality. So if a select group of people decide to play hide and seek with the presidency and massacre innocent citizens just to make the country ungovernable we should heap all the blame on the president. As he rightly said, he's not God and cannot be everywhere is a 360,000-square-mile country like Nigeria.

I checked a couple of your recent posts and just confirmed what I've been thinking. Your likes are not to be engaged in a cerebral constructive give-and-take discourse, cos you drag everybody in it down to your lowly level.

This is the daftest comment I've read in a very long while. So you are trying to say that Jonathan should be blamed for the ungodly massacres carried out by Boko Haram? Your hatred for this man has beclouded your sense of reasoning. So if a gunman opens fire on a group of people somewhere in America Barack Obama should be blamed for it? Or if a terrorist organisation blows up a train in the UK the queen or the prime minister should be held responsible for that? Just listen to yourself, did you read what you just typed? It's not a must that you will comment. You shouldn't have joined the debate if you knew that your level of intelligence was not up to it.

Chelsea players don't play well and gel most of the time because the pressure at the club is too much. The is no room for errors thereby making them cautious and more comfortable to sit back and just waste time with the ball.

...all is not gloom and doom as I mentioned earlier. We should take solace from the fact that our new crop of leaders are finally beginning to learn from the mistakes of their predecessors. The new administration is making a concerted effort to ensue that the ills of the past are corrected and that Nigeria assumes its rightful place in the comity of nations. Some of the things that didn’t work in the past are being fixed. Our economy is booming, the power sector is being fixed and Nigeria is becoming a major player in regional and African politics. The rule of law is also being championed and Nigerians enjoy more freedom to air the views and criticize the government of the day without fear of intimidation now than ever before.
