The above blackmail does not deserve a response from me but to make some facts clear and to clear some impressions, i have decided to make this points.
It is a shame that most Nigerians are gradually becoming gullible as the days go bye. I have known professor Akinwumi for ages now and he is one who has carefully built an untainted record of dedication, transparency, humility and unrivalled level of integrity over the years.
If theres anything i can boldy say about him, it is the fact that he is a man who has carefully built a happy home.
There is no gainsaying that leading a herd of people is no easy task. Even Jesus our perfect example only led 12 as disciples and yet he had Judas who betrayed him as one. So it would be humanly impossible to have these number of people around him and not have a Judas.
The above article im sure is from a myopic mind who has far been left behind in the currency of event happening in the university. The transformational work done by Professor Akinwumi in the university within one year in office is completely unrivalled. Do we talk about the beautification of the felele campus which was like a deserted zone before he came on board, or the increase in the number of academic programmes which has been successfully resource verified, or do we talk about the open access he granted to both staffs and students to share their thoughts and plans in building an all inclusive institution, or do we talk about the ever increasing ease of transportation system betwen the two campuses or the electrification of the Felele campus or the road network within the felele campus or the security architect which he magically put in place?
Of a truth, life is difficult for the blind and therefore critics would find it difficult to see anything good in a progressive venture.
I humbly wish to state without fear or favour that one of the best thing that had ever happened to Federal University Lokoja is the emergence of a man who fears not just the revolt of man but the consciousness that he would someday give account to God of all the works he has done.
Most time the way Professor Akinwumi thinks, one would be tempted to think if he is an Angel. He thinks faster and clearer than mortal men.
His ability to carefully integrate all (security agencies, traditional rulers, host community) to a common goal of building a strong, happy and progressive Federal University is completely unrivalled. Attached herein is his visit to one of the traditional rulers; all in his strive to building a happy, peaceful and all inclusive institution.
Blackmailing him of sexual assault is one blackmail that doesnt deserve a response because it holds no ground nor basis. I want to reiterate that Professor Akinwumi is a man who has carefully nursed and built a happy home and therefore these cheap blackmail aimed at soiling his reputation is baseless.
On this note i humbly wish to reaffirm my undiluted loyalty to Our Progress driven Vice Chancellor, Professor Akinwumi Olayemi and prays God increases his wisdom and forseight as he moves the university to higher height. God bless You sir.

I'm pained hearing this statement from you. I am also a Yoruba boy. I had the same fate with y after secondary school. My results weren't good enough so I opted for college of education too. Graduated in 2009. Thought of changing my course after graduation but found it a difficult task due to the massive throng of people seeking admission too. I had to settle for Direct Entry. I graduated after gaining admission in 2015. I served in 2016 and after service immediately applied for a master program in ABU Zaria and currently running my masters. For your information,I studied integrated science education from NCE down to masters level and I've never regretted it.
I don't care who has gone ahead or who delved into other profession. I'm focused and just striving to be better than whom I was yesterday and not striving to compete with anyone. Bro change ur mindset and u'll see urself gaining new heights. Cheer

I am a Lecturer with the Kogi State University, Anyigba. I hold a PhD Political Economy and Development Studies. I was the immediate past Dean of Student of Affairs and presently the Acting Head, Department of Political Science.

I have not been paid my salaries for months now by the Kogi State Government and still counting. My story is even 'fairly' better compared to those of my other colleagues who have not been paid for well over 9 months now. The situation of the pensioners, referred to as the senior citizens who have not received their pensions for over 14 months is even the worst.

I can no longer cope with the continuous hardship and suffering inflicted on me by the Government of Kogi State that refuses to pay my salary. Our Cooperative Society that have been sustaining me with "coping strategy" is equally broke and cannot lend without repayment.

I cannot watch my children suffering any longer. That is why I have decided to venture into TAXI BUSINESS. This I want to do by painting my car in conformity with TAXI COLOUR.

I wish to therefore seek your sincere advice of any interstate route you think I can ply to enable me sustain myself and other dependants pending when God almighty touches the heart of the Kogi State Government to settle my salary arrears.

I urge all civil servants to start thinking about doing something to sustain themselves and their families. This is because the so called March 31, 2017 deadline will come to pass again like the earlier December 20, 2016.

In Kogi State today, taxi drivers are even leaving better than Directors and Senior Civil and Public servants; with the exception of the NEW DIRECTION politicians in the state.

Hello guys, just be careful who u contact with the claim that they could assist u gain admission or help u swap ur name into other departments. I called one woman who I learnt works in admin department. Immediately I called she asked if I was the one who called from okene and I said no. I told her I had a high score but hasn't been admitted. She asked what department I applied for. When I told her she said for those who applied for Medicine, pharmacy, computer science and has not been admitted shouldn't expect their names anymore. She said if I wish she help me swap my name into other department I should send her #5000. She said I must do that today before 2 O'Clock. Immediately I dropped the call I said to my self, I rebuke that statement in Jesus Name.
Do you think she is right?
How could a school conclude admission on a particular department while others are still ongoing?
Please don't fall prey to this as I don't see any iota of truth in that.
