Make una buy osimhen nah since Chelsea no want too put body ,na wa for una o

Na Gabriel Jesus una want take as una striker and harvetz who isn’t even a striker

Na wa for una o
Lol...
I doubt we'll buy striker even though I would love us to buy.
I'm realistic to realise that Havertz na Arteta pikin and with the signing of Merino(to replace Xhaka which was initially Havertz), he's given Havertz the main Cf slot so I won't kill myself hoping for another striker only to be disappointed.

If we're to get an attacker, I believe it'll be wingers

I gave three valid reasons sha but you just chose to ignore them. You may not see his bad side but his transfer issue should tell you something.

About his attitude, everybody know he is hot-headed. Imagine going live to insult your own coach. To think he was even reacting to a fake report o. Maybe Mourinho might overlook this, but Arteta? I doubt. Let me tell you that was not the first time he would be in the news for the wrong reason.

As for the other point you mentioned about being prolific or not, It is your opinion and I respect it. But at this stage, we should sign someone better please. Someone who will not only offer us goals but contribute in other aspects as well.
In terms of better aspect of play, you can't use that as a stick against Osimhen. There's a reason oyindamola normally tells me then that that's the kind of striker I like but another thing I like about him is his box presence.

With Osimhen, all these Martinelli across the goal crosses that Dave.P talksz about, he'll surely attack them. Infact, with Osimhen, Martinelli will shine cos he normally drift towards Martinelli side and he's good aerially.
He misses chance quite alright but he always open for more chances. I pity people who use national football (in his case Afcon) to judge players.

Like blueray said(and everyone knows), his issues is injury. That's the only tangible reason.

But I doubt we might go for him. Whether he's right or wrong, that burst off on social media with Finidi might dissuade Arteta. I strongly believe that's one of the reasons we might not be going for him and I see all these things as rumors.

Get me Osimhen and this

What Luis Suarez did at Liverpool was worst than what osimhen did ,yet he still got a big move

I don’t think that’s what affecting him sha
Suarez own na racism. Even though it's publicly shunned, we all know it's not really frowned at by whites. And with his biting, they can easily classify it as sickness which I believed Barca did a great job in curbing it. So yeah, I don't think both would have impacted his move.

But then, I now agree that the issue is raised is not what is limiting Osimhen move sha. Read/heard that it's his wages.

On Mudryk, I wouldn't conclude yet. Aside the player's individual shortcomings, the club environment, coaching and other things may also contribute to poor performance.
Valid points Sha. True talk.

Na whether him fit replicate him form up like Trossard who was very instrumental to our league challenge with his goals and that's something we can't really say.

I think the best tackling Fullback we have is Yasu, especially from a recovery position. The rest no get the pace to get back like these 2. If it was before, na strolling things. As for Zinny, once he's passed, he no go do anything again.😂😭😭
Na Zinny I dey pity cos he defensive lapses they really show thus overshadowing his great attacking creativity.

It was at the Euros I confirmed his greatness. He literally showed Deschamps what he was missing; a lot of people that thought he was hyped saw him at the Euros and confirmed he is who he is. Like within the space of a year he was in EPL team of the year and Euros team of the tournament; his consistency is commendable.
Na that consistency be the gan gan

To be in back to back to back to back team of the season is no jokes. Like no jokes.

4 back to back Tott for a defender? (Ligue 1, epl(2x and Euros)

Loserpool don't really have much fans in Nigeria like that. When I was growing up where we used to watch matches back then, we only had 3 Loserpool fans there. Even when they score and they jubilate their voice is hardly heard unlike Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd fans.

I think the years when they were in the wilderness also affected them.

I still don’t know how Saliba does it. If he were to be an African-African , I will say “ na juju” grin

I mean he gets it right almost every time. I recently saw his performance vs Haaland last season; Omo he just kept bodying him as the last man. No breathing space at all.

I guess his physique and football intelligence match each other . He just seem to know how to use his bulky structure while applying sense to those tackles and unsettling opps
The guy is too intelligent. He's a defender that really combines physique, intelligence and speed to great effect. The way he handles great players without breaking sweat just leaves me in awe. No wonder most epl strikers dey run go either Gabriel side to try their luck (but even that one don turn werey). Haaland and Isak are notable mentions.

I'm still in shock in what he did in this situation this weekend. I was already expecting a goal from this only for Saliba to appear from no where to intercept, omorr see as I shout in glee cheesy cheesy

Exactly . Harry Kane in Watkins’ position would’ve nodded the ball in same direction. Raya was just in a fantastic form to have pulled that terrific save.

It’s just like that Maddison free kick back then when we played Leicester that Ramsdale saved. It was 💯 goal bound until Ramsdale’s finger tips saved the day.

I guess when u are doing well as a team in England, u just have urself a lot of rival fans hate-watching every game. City used to get the full hate-watching heat until we started competing with them and now we share out of their hate-watchers who belong to rival fans

That's true. Even our yellow cards have drastically reduced. We've come a long way. This is the season.
Else....
The way our players tackle needs to be studied especially Saliba. The way they just poke the ball away from you when you think you've guarded it 100% sometimes makes me laugh.

That's one of the big reasons we're one of the least 2 yellow carded team last season

I’ve watched the replay of that Saturday match va Villa over and over again and I still don’t understand why rival fans kept saying Watkins messed up.

The only time Watkins messed up was that first half chance he played off target under pressure .

That Raya’s save in the second half is what it is; a SAVE. Raya deserves the credit for having a very sharp reflex to have saved a sure goal. Rival fans are making it seem like Watkins wasted the chance and not that Raya made an unbelievable save.

It’s not even like Watkins played the ball in the middle ; rather he placed the ball in an almost impossible-to-save position. One of my friends who is a Chelsea don wail tire untop the matter . 😂
Where I watched, some were saying he nodded it straight, I just laugh. One Man u guy was saying he should have controlled it first before shooting, that one I just knew it's disappointment from not seeing Arsenal losing at that point than Watkins making a wrong decision.

Raya made a wonderful save and if that situation was to repeat itself, I still believe Watkins would still have nodded it same way cos that ball was coming fast towards his side.

The reflex save from Raya was top.

You're getting my pov already. Even if we aren't all that tactical, relegation teams without much of a tactic will have 3 players in that position and attack it well to get their heads on the ball. So it boils down to either playing safe or they just lack the know how of attacking such space(3 of them)

GM is why i love what Trossard did with his goal celebration.

Arteta's two bias since he arrived are Kai and Martinelli.

These two are guaranteed starters shirts even if they play rubbish or offer nothing. Even if GJ dey fit, he go still wan start Kai. This look down thing of GM has not changed since last season. It proves one thing -MA is jot working on this kid in that regards.

As for the plan for counter, there's a slight problem for me.

The ball carrier runs some 40 to 60m without as much as a scent of a tackle or resistance by us. I don't like that approach at all. We had no answer to Rogers too. Thanks to the pace of Saliba for thwarting that sure banker goal. We used to rely on Offside trap last season. What's changed? The more that free ball carrier approaches, the more the danger to me. I hope that's just a Villa game mistake sha.

Gabriel's trap vs Man U last season 💯💯💯💯😂😂😂😂😂
Kai na MA favored son same as Saka but I doubt Martinelli is also included. I believe the attributes Martinelli have is what is keeping him presently (pace, helping defence and keeping the width). If truly Martinelli is one of his favored sons, I believe he wouldn't have benched him for Trossard last season. One thing with Trossard is that aside his lack of burst of pace with ball, he normally drift away from game when playing wings around the 60th to 70th minutes upwards(or sometimes even less) and I think that's one of the reasons why Arteta haven't fully made that position his. But then, he really still deserves to start over Martinelli.

I don't think we suffered from many ball carriers last season due to our coordinated press so I believe Aston Villa's game especially Rogers was just a one off. One thing I believe is that Partey and Rice really underestimated him, not fully knowing he's that kinda deadly. Next game against him, I believe arsenal (and those duo) will take him seriously cos the way he use use dem ehh... grin grin

Anyways, tactically I'll be watching how we setup and play this season. We've not fully hit top gear too so with more game time I believe we'll see more sharpness.

Haaland is a bully on 1v1. Kai isnt and can't even be.

Shot power is word and opposite for these two. To expect a big hit from Haaland is high. To expect a weak hit from Kai is high. Saliba is one of 2 defenders that bullied Haaland last season in all his strengths, out of all defenders in EPL. His presence alone will carve open that centre space at the box arc for any arsenal shirt to explore b2b. Kai did that in 2nd half a little.

I've accepted to reduce expectations. But its hard to see situations upon situations that may end up crucial being wasted due to lack of the 1 figure that can make 10moinmoin out of one tin of beans wink

I understand alll of this. Presence for a productive outcome is what matters. The probability that a goal ought to come out of that increase when more shirts are unmarked or the shirts are positioned to get a header. Or do you want it as a norm where anyone that crosses ends up with nothing because of Zonal play?

Oh i forgot that our defenders are the better headers so far. But that's no excuse for those 3 at that spot right there.

I understand all the tactical talk but chances need to be taken whenever presented. We don't want to be desperate for anything possible on a desperate night because the tactics is what GM ought to abide by especially when the OPPORTUNITY presents itself. Everyone crosses in and coach never stop am.

Bottomline, na who see chance and bury am dey mata. Na after game end we go analyze tactical play.

Conclusion: GM still dey play rubbish sha. Pls let that be settled as my pov o grin
The only thing I can take from that picture is that those three suppose to attack that near post zone instead of being away from it. I believe the players were poorly positioned cos 3 players is more than enough in attacking a cross.

I won't love for us to tamper with our structure by pushing more bodies (if that's what the structure entails), then get caught on the counter when they miss a cross. It's not as if that's the dying moment of the game sef.

Meanwhile, Martinelli needs to look up more and also stop being a one trick pony. I don't know if it's confidence issues that's affecting him
