One player I have been mentioning frequently here is Alexandre Isak. When you compare the guy to Osimhen, you will understand my stance about Osimhen. What we need now is a one-man attack. Someone who is not just a striker but an outlet. On a counter, a player that have the ability to make something happen out of nothing. City have KDB and maybe Foden.Mbappe, Rashford(on-form) and Salah are other examples. Martinelli is the only one closer to this profile but we all know he is a Glo network. Ode is more like Benardo. Trossard is good but he sometimes fizzle out of games.
Osimhen is limited in this aspect. Is Osimhen not good enough? Of course not. Osimhen is a finisher, an end of a means. If Arteta really wants Osimhen, I don't think we would have gone for Sesko at the outset.
It is just my opinion. Nothing personal grin grin grin

cc bluera.ydick
E be like say you don too read Ebl analysis.

As I see something like Odegaard is like Bernardo and Martinelli is somehow like that one man guy, I just know na mostly him signature talk be that grin grin

I just read blue.ray post and I agree strongly with him about getting Osimhen (if we can) cos we need someone who can bulldoze his way through defence. It's something I love about him. He never gives up at all and he'll never let defenders rest. Another thing is that he's not shot shy (something we lack with our Cf aside Trossard) and to think most of his goals isn't even PK is even commendable. He is someone that cannot lost in big match and he just needs that creativity to shine(which we have in abundance). Isak is my kind of ideal striker but I'll also take Osimhen without thinking twice. Na just injury be my ish with him.

Lastly, I see people deh say Odegaard is just like Bernardo (esp Ebl). I don't know why but man have been proving that he's our Kdb 24/7. Na only workrate him and Bernardo just dey similar, finish!!!

Osimehn is actually the kind of striker I like, very direct, can do linkup play, can create space for himself with off the ball movement and has goals to show for his efforts.

And Osimehn has been consistent doing all that since he burst out on the international scene at the u-17 level till date.

And do u know why I find it funny when people talk about his "attitude" ? Like this guy scored his first goal at the U-17 world cup and went straight to Amuneke to prostrate to show his respect for giving him a chance at the international scene.

At the end of the day, I guess people see whatever they want to see in u.
The bolded is the main reason I even want him too. Someone with a different profile to our forwards yet won't impede our system.

Osimhen is the person that is direct and can carve chance on his own, something we're lacking in our frontline.

I know u were quite predictable and u didn't disappoint me.

I deliberately brought up the article knowing u would lap up to it and start poking holes while deflecting from the major issue.

Initially you claimed Osimehn was not a prolific striker, yet he won a golden boot not for being a goalkeeper, not for being a LB but for besting every other striker in the league. You argued without any fact to prove he is not a prolific striker.

Later you claimed he is all about goals and nothing else. I proceeded to show you an analysis of him being more than just a goal scorer but a player whose off-the ball movement ranks up the ladder up there. They analyzed how he drifts wide , how he create space in addition being a good striker. You obvioulsy left all of that and look at what you come up with. undecided

You are quick to point out the article was written in 2022, but u wouldn't talk about scoring 26 league goals in 2022/23 and 15 league goals in 2023/24 season.

The article has rubbished ur opinion that he's not fit for a team like Arsenal.

When time reach, u go talk wetin Osimehn really do u.
After reading the article, it even reinforced my idea that we need someone like Osimhen and that he's really tailor-made for our team

Nah bro.. Dave.P is the one in favour of all-action striker. All of us dey here now. Blueray is the one that do jokingly tell him not to expect that kind of striker.

Ok, Conte is obessed with Lukaku. Why is he still in the market then? United bought Joshua Zirkzee and Chelsea are playing around with him. PSG the has the financial power are not even considering him even with Ramos out injured. Why?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your definition of all action striker. If it means players that can interplay/link up, dribble, create, press, score, then Dave.P no be that person o.

Dave.p that's always insisting on Haaland or Haaland type of striker. A striker that will bang goals and people will fear.

In terms of Osimhen being in the market, I believe his wages and injury problem is what is limiting his chances, esp his wages. Chelsea of old would have snapped him up by now. Also, most clubs wan cut their wagebill like Man u.
PSG might not want to add another doctor

The only top club looking for striker and can afford his wages is Arsenal.

Lol.. thank you o.
Baba kept mentioning Xhaka. Normally Xhaka's issue then is quite normal.. he reacted because he is human. I think the fans insulted his family then.
Like how are the two scenarios similar? How?
Like Auba was late to training/match and Arteta decided to ax him from the team. Our captain and highest goalscorer o but somehow Blueray wants us to believe that Osimhen's action is quite normal and the club will overlook it.

That little altercation involving Toney and Gabriel at the end of our match against Brentford was part of why Edu pulled the plug. Maybe I'll share the post here whe next I come across it.
Yeah.. Xhaka own was well documented but for him. I think he still played under Emery even after that situation. If yes, that means the gravity wasn't much. If Xhaka was to do that thing Osimhen do to Emery, na banish dem am for arsenal

I read how Arteta and Edu looks at all the profiles of players and top of the list is their discipline and temperaments(esp when handling things). I was hoping Arsenal signs Osimhen but immediately I watched that his clip ehh, my hope just died from whatever it was to 2%. I don't want to know what Finidi did(whether right or wrong) cos it was that baaaad.

Blueray is just contradicting himself. He has often disagree with Dave. P here anytime the latter mention the need for a good striker. His stance has always been that Arsenal needs an all-action forward who will not only score but contribute in other aspects as well. I wonder why he is all hyping Osimhen now. Someone who doesn't in anyway fits his ideology.

Bro.. ever wondered why Conte preferred Lukaku? Why is Osimhen still in the market?
Man is good but he has his limitations which majority here choose to turn blind eyes to because he is a Nigerian.
No, I think you're misunderstanding blueray.
I don't think Blueray needs an all action striker, instead what he just needs is someone that can bang goals and has the number to show for it as a Cf— whether all action or not. And that's the number Osimhen has thus he's in favor of Osimhen and nothing more. Any other thing apart from putting the ball at the back of the net is addendum cheesy

I'm the one that proudly talks about all action striker and I remember when he normally trolls me with Firmino cos of my love for him.

And as for Conte wanting Lukaku, it just proved Man is obsessed with Lukaku. I don't believe why any club should be going for him when he's clearly past it. Tbh, it has nothing to do with Osimhen but all to do with Conte and his Lukaku obsession

Xhaka after a poor performance in our game vs Crystal Palace told the fans to 4ck off(because they booed him after a poor performance), Pulled off his Arsenal Jersey(as a captain o) , threw his shirt on the floor and went straight to the tunnel after being subbed off.

If Arteta and Edu are whom u are trying to paint them up there, I don't they would've worked with Xhaka at all. In fact, Arteta would've binned him immediately he was appointed as manager after Emery left. Guess what? that same Arteta managed Xhaka and turned him to a player the fans grew to love once again.

Make una no dey pain these people like some African elderly parent that will bittch-slap u for even arguing with them. To go on air to start insulting your coach with such foul words publicly is something most disciplined coach will frown at no matter how right or wrong you are. So u think if Arsenal signs Osimehn he will be a plan B ? grin grin grin grin

I don't even think you watch Osimehn well enough going by ur claim up there that aside for his presence in the box, there's nothing else to write home about him. For your information, Osimehn is well known for his presence in the box, his athleticism, strength, directness, runs into space, eye for goal and linkup play. Maybe u should take some time to watch his clips sha

Yea.. he will give us a presence inside the box but his other aspect of playing is average. His major weakness is his ball-playing. He will be good for plan B especially during 'rush hour' but then spending 100m on a plan B is somehow.

And please chance is chance whether na national team or club side. Although I'm not ruling out the fact that he can tremendously improve but will he be fit enough?

As for your last paragraph, many fans don't know how thorough Edu and Arteta can be when it comes to transfer. Edu mentioned three of the things they look out for in a player before marking him as a target. The wage, age and i think performance. Remind me what was Auba's offence when he was left out of the team. Our only clinical striker o. Our captain o. And Blueray want us to believe they can't use that Finidi incident to rule him out. Should we even talk about how he shouts at his teammates during matches.

See if they sign him fine, if they don't, fine. Whatever I say here doesn't really matter. I no dey part of Arsenal staff.
Tbh, I don't know any clear chance Osimhen missed in this Afcon tournament. He was more of a chance creator and doing all the dirty work in that Haram system of our previous coach.

Another thing like blueray said, if you really watch Osimhen well, you'll know that all the other aspects of the game like link up, taking on players, eye for goal, strength is what he has in quantum. He's someone that can create his own chance and can convert too(something we lack in Cf position). Most people see his miss but he scores more than he misses cos he's always at the end of chances. He's not like a Jackson or Nunez that misses over and over and over again

I've always said it here that I would love Osimhen barring his injuries. I find it surprising that you would not agree to his signing due to him not having "other aspects of play". Man will really elevate us

Osimhen is having the same issue most of ex napoli players had with the owner before leaving, signing that contact extension with the ridiculous transfer fee is his major problem now .
Most of the big boys that can afford Osimhen either already have an established striker or a strict wage structure.
Chelsea for example is trying to comply with the psr and cannot afford to sign players on ridiculous amount of wages and high transfer fee.
It's a sad situation for Osimhen. If my guy really wants to play in Europe, he should low-ball his contract at least a bit and look for permanent transfer. Even if he tries to incentivise his wage contract, it's better that way.

It's just so sad cos arsenal needs a striker and can match his wage of over 200k but I doubt we'll go for one because of Havertz' father lipsrsealed
