Nobody is wallowing in Negativity bro, the fans are just disappointed with the team not utilizing the opportunity they had this season.

We all want the best for the team.
Nobody is claiming you don't want the best for the team but the way most of us carry it, one will feel this team have been shit this season and that Arteta have been bad throughout.

I'm not judging this team due to the past 7 matches. I see the progress, I see the upward momentum and today's match won't change that fact.

We need to get it right in signings cos our squad depth is what's the issue to compete for league with Man city.

Me I choose to take the positive instead of wallowing in the muds of regret and 'what could have been'.

The title chase was interesting and gave us moments to brag a little. But the team wasn't good enough to grab the chance. We take what we've got. CL next season will have a fresh meaning for me. E don tey.

I hope the team improves with good signings because fans will expect the title to come to Arsenal next season and then there would be no excuses.
The bolded is just what I'm looking forward to cos we just need to get it very very right with our recruiting and signing. I just hope we do.

Dem fit say you deh talk mediocrity but facts is different from emotions

They can wallow in the negativity this season as if we're totally bad and claim that we call Arteta "a god that can't be touched". Na dem sabi

I understand you are being sarcastic but don't take it too far.

The day was a disappointment to all fans. The season wasn't.

This team isn't as good as we think. The coach isn't as astute as we think. For someone who hasn't tasted CL for close to a decade, I will take second place. You and Sod may make caricatures but facts remain so. There's no way this team can go head to head with this City squad and their manager. If Arsenal wins the league, it would have been considered an upset. The best team in the PL competition is City by a mile. So stop all these sarcasm.
Lol... Everybody have the right for opinions bro.

They can do their sarcasm all they want, it's their right.

I mean, we're all arsenal fans and we have the righ to be disappointed. How anyone goes about expressing his disappointment is right as long as there's no use of foul words or sort.

Let dem express their feelings, emotions and disappointments in peace boss.

The bolded depends on what you mean by cover. A direct substitute or a tactical change.

Tierney is not a direct substitute for Zinny.

Many of us think Zinny is a LB and that's why we get confused. He is actually a midifelder in our starting formation. He only inverts to the LB role when we are defending.

Tierney is a LB.

Just as Zinny struggles to cover in the LB position during defending phase that's how Tierney will struggle in controlling the midfield in the attacking phase. Which one do you refer to forgo, control of the midfield or covering the LB position? Arteta prefers to control the midfield and that's why Zinny has always been preferred.

If midfield control remains top of Arteta's plans, then expect to see Xhaka.

As for Vieira you will only hope that Arteta views Trossard as a worthy no 8 than him.
The thing is Tierney have always been used when Zinny is not available (at first it was Tomi for like 2-3 matches)

Xhaka have never been deployed this season to play at Lb. So I don't see why he should be deployed now when no be say Tierney dey injured too. And we have just three matches to go

I mean, this matter simple. Na we dey try complicate am

To 3-at-the-back that made fans call Arteta a defensive coach back then ? Funny enough I know it’s man city match that led to all of this outburst of emotions . We won man city during pandemic with the infamous 3-at-the-back but the overall season was shiit .

The player that really fall my hands this April run of off form is Partey.

I expected more from him especially as one of the experienced heads and his skillset. After that Mistake in West Ham match, he seemed to go downhill from there and our results went down too.

I expected much from him..

Which teams found us out ? Bournemouth and Southampton ?

Bournemouth scored almost after kickoff , Southampton was almost same . Once u concede from kickoff the game becomes difficult , almost all of ur tactics becomes usless cos u begin to chase the game . We all agreed that Zinchencko was shiit in that Southampton game and some other senior players like Partey and Ramsdale too were culpable in the game . Na coach tell Ramsdale to play ball give opponent ? Is it the coach’s tactics that will prevent that ?

The west ham game was no different . Zinchencko gets caught napping and we found ourselves in danger .

At what point do we call a spade a spade and see that at times games just won’t go ur way even if u use all the tactics in the whole world ?

We’ve not even had this much point in the league as far back as 2008. So if u are a coach u will yank off Zinchencko who has been getting accolades all season long because he had a stinker versus Loserpool ? Just like that ?

What do u think happens to the rest of the team ? What do u think happens to their confidence ? Why do u think Arteta when asked out Saka penalty miss said he will even go throw the ball to saka if he hesitates to take the next one? He knows man management requires much more than just punishing a player who had a bad game .
Lol... I so don talk this thing taya sha but e go be like say I too deh shalaye.

I get your point. But my own question is if this is the right time to change tactics especially playing against lower teams?

Ok, while changing tactics may work given the change of personnel, it is equally not guaranteed.

If Arteta chooses to go with his same tactics, Tierney will have to reinvent his game or may get sold this summer.
Tierney doesn't need to reinvent himself just for 3 matches. Moreover, Tierney have been playing as cover anytime Zinny isn't on the pitch so I don't know why it should change now

I wonder why you'd think Xhaka will play that role. The same Xhaka that we deh lose all the matches wey him play Lb? Worst still Is putting Viera in Xhaka's role.

Omo, if we do those two stupid decisions (Viera for Xhaka and Xhaka for Zinny), I can 100% bet my balls that we won't win any of the 3 matches

Man Utd actually has an okay structure now, tbh. but you won't see that due to injuries to some important players.

I admit it's not on the levels of City but if you add a prolific striker to the mix, and decent additions in one or two positions, the difference won't be that much.
You see, you don dey add pass your initial info. Same thing I'm saying I'm saying that you need more than Greenwood.

As for the first bolded, Do you really believe that Man u have an Okay structure? So you're happy with the way you guys normally play every matchday?

Have a second look at that post where I shared the stats.

The point I was trying to make is simple:

Greenwood was very close to Rashford when United weren't playing well. (That's why I brought out that stat)

Now that United are playing much better than last season, surely, he'll have more goals contributions.

See it as having 2 Rashfords in this United side. Is that side good enough to be in the title talk by April? Definitely.

At worst, Greenwood will score double WhoGhost or Martial's goals. Best case scenario, he scores more than Rashford, who is our top scorer.
To be honest, I wouldn't still see you guys as title challengers sha.

I always look at style of play and dominance over anything

Alright

There's no need to have a lengthy argument.

You don't rate Greenwood as high as I do.

And you don't think his influence could keep United in the title talk till April.

It's your opinion and it's okay.
With this Man u I'm watching? That's strictly counter and insha'Allah. Any good team wey dey press Una.

You'd think only Greenwood added to this team would make this team title contenders this season?

We wouldn't have been title contenders for sure but he would have scored a lot more than previous seasons. Take your own martinelli as an example who has 15league goals this season, that's the kind of progression Greenwood would have had. Martinelli had never scored double league digits goals before in his career, he has 15 this season and we all know Greenwood was the better and more clinical player between both. Martinelli has scored more goals this season than in his 3 other league season combined.
This is a more valid take especially the bolded.
Anyone who watched Greenwood knows he's a big talent but he hasn't really exploded. Moreover the team's structure isn't even settled yet to Ten Haag taste

If he said Greenwood would have consolidated you guys' top 4 while scoring more goals, then I wouldn't have argued. But Title challengers??

This same team that most of you are saying needs 15 players is what only greenwood would turn to title challengers?

Jodera.

These are the stats of Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford for the last couple of years. Anyone with eyes knows he’s on the ascendancy.

There is no doubt he won’t score as many (or more) goals than Rashford if he was available this season. He’s the best finisher in Man United and nobody in Arsenal has a better finishing than him.

Just say you’re a hater or you’re afraid.
You're bringing this into an arsenal Vs Man u players?
I'm not arguing that one cos that's another story entirely.

You brought out stats with paltry numbers and you're claiming he'll be the one to make Man u title challengers.

You guys structure isn't strong yet. Meaning the person(in this case Greenwood) to elevate you guy(without strong structure) ought to be a highly world class player to turn you to title challengers but you think Greenwood with 5 goals and 7 goals with just one double digit number would turn you to title challengers?

Abeg, no make me laugh grin

Greenwood scored 12 goals in 52 EPL matches. How many goals did Rashford score within that same period?

Just say you’re hating.

Cos everyone on this board, including Arsenal fans, recognize how clinical Greenwood is. Under a coach like ETH there’s no doubt he won’t be one of the top scorers in the club.
C'mon hating?
You should know me better than meaningless or useless trolling na.

You're just being emotional here. I didn't doubt Greenwood's talent, neither am I saying he's not clinical.

But do you know what it means to say if a player is here you would be title challengers?

You know its true.

If Rashford, who is known to be wasteful, score over 20 goals in this campaign, how much would Greenwood, who is definitely more clinical, have scored?
We would never know yet BUT there's no precedence we could hold onto. Like Trevor said, Greenwood have scored only 12goals in last 52 matches. This is not the stats of someone who alights EPL that you'll think with his presence alone, you guys would compete for the league.

Is this Rashford only season in which he's scored 20+ goals? I don't think so, and if I browse it, I'll be probably right that this isn't.

But have Greenwood ever scored 20+ goals?
Yet you feel he'll be the one to drag you guys as title challengers. Let's even pretend as if you guys have been dominating teams like the real "title challengers" sef?

With 150m prepared for arteta to sign more players
We still need to sell
Outgoings
Xhaka he had a very good season but one moment on madness always ruin it
If we can't sell him atleast he should be a squad player
Holding must go, he's not arsenal level I have nothing else to say
Mari we are collecting 6m from Monza not a bad deal I think we got him for 8m or so
Elneny abeg release him or integrate him to coaching crew
AMN please release him
Balogun unless we sell nketiah I don't think we need balogun, we should sell him and put buy back clause
Patino, azeez, and that mexican that went to la Liga 2 please sell them all
Tavarez if tear knee is going tavarez is a good back up I still believe in him especially with the kind of defence we have
Tomi should be a back up or we sell him and get walker peters/Tariq/Aaron's
Nelson should go abeg I no too trust the guy especially when I remember Sancho and they grew up together e they always vex me
Peperempe we have to put him on jiji or Amazon to get a buyer🤣🤣
Viera should go on loan with option to buy
ESR arteta should decide his plan with the lad

Incoming
Rice I do t like this guy, I don't think he's worth 100m atleast 50m angry
Lavia or caicedo is better alternative or d.sow of Frankfurt
We need a winger to compete with saka badly
We need another RCB
We should try to get vlahovic I think we need him now
I trust edu and arteta to spend wisely atleast their transfers have been 8/10
Any update on tielemans and the Frankfurt defender that's coming on free transfer?
We need Rice and Caicedo (Two people to take over from Partey and Xhaka)

We also need an different kinda striker (taller one). Vlahovic if possible or Hojlund of Atalanta. So that we can have an option B when going for goal.

We need backup for Saka desperately. I don't trust Nelson and I don't think he can play there.

Saliba deputy if White will play RB. Holding certainly can't play there.

So incoming: 2DMs/CMs, 1striker, 1 Rwf, 1Rcb(at least for summer)

Sell: Holding, Nelson, Viera (for loan),.

All the other loanees should either be re-loaned or sold

Just 3 have clicked by long stretch. The rest can't even effect anything else. That is why i called it average. Im not saying i don't recognize the effort. Im on contribution to this success we are currently seeing.. and that is why the squad depth issue is here. That is the angle I'm coming from. Not getting players that will not make one or two injuries felt that much.

We have been immense with what's been in our disposal. If we had more, one will imagine what exactly we would have done differently.
The thing is that the depth this season was for top 4 (esp the summer transfer). If you remember beginning of this season, I laid out our depth and said we've one of the strongest depth amongst our top 4 rivals (with only Gabriel, Partey And Saka not having deputy) . While it wasn't strong enough to compete for the league but I think it was okay to if we look at it from the top 4 angle.

Hopefully, this summer we'll add more quality depth and I hope most of our bench will be moved on
