Roland17: I don’t think Arteta is prioritizing a traditional CF, I don’t think he believes it would work for his tactics and style of play. From what we have seen thus far, Arteta likes a fluid interchangeable front 3 with a lot of movement. Personally, I would like to see a CF so we can have options when teams sit deep and cloud the box. Same here too so I've made peace with the facts that Havertz or Jesus will lead the line for us this season. Na that Havertz for midfield or Viera for wing deh turn my Belle. I just hope we get Merino quickly so that he'll dead that Havertz in midfield once and for all |

DeeScan: .. Well .. I'm pretty sure bad man shile would have learnt his lesson and would not never underrate any player ..
But to be candid .. scoring from that position takes a special kind technique and positioning to have the ball in the back of the net..
An average player would definitely have side net that ball .. The player was in a parallel position to the post if you check well .. All those five aside football players wey you dey talk no fit score am Lai Lai .. The foolishness is not even underrating a player from Accriton Fc sef, but a REAL MADRID player. That's pure foolishness, no matter the angle as long as it's an empty post. Another thing is that the distance to the post is not even far from when he took the shot sef As for the bolded, it's not even parallel to the post (at least it's not on the white line) plus Diaz is even two footed sef. Tbh, people dey score that goal on a steady even in 5 aside. I'll be really shocked if a top player misses that goal from that angle. Give brahim 10 of that situation and he'll surely hit the target 9 times. The other miss is probably because he's human |

DeeScan: you guys should chill on this badiashile issue ..
That ball had a 50/50 chance of hitting the side net and entering the goal net ..
It was an unlucky gamble on badiashile part .. he most thought that ball was going to the side netn.. Hence, the reason he slowed down a bit .. sliding at that point to prevent the ball from going into the net would be a waste of time ..
Badiashile gambled wrong and whoever played the ball too was only lucky.. Lmaoo... If you deh play even 5- aside football, you'll know that guys can score from that angle 10/10 not to talk of a professional footballer with such big post and angle. The GK have did most of the job for badiashile by taking Diaz to a tight angle and dived in such a way to narrow the angle so that badiashile can cover up for him. The only "Gamble" Badiashile took was underrating Diaz to be a very very poor player who can't score. It's the audacity for me |

Side talk, do you think we are ready...
My concern now is that this August now, Saka, Jesus and Havertz will now score three each and we will think like all is well Tbh, I don't think we're fully ready but hopefully we'll get to see what Arteta has in store for us. But personally I would want a Saka deputy and/or a striker but it seems Arteta wants to use either Jesus or Martinelli there. One thing I know is that the season is like an ultimatum season and I believe Arteta knows it so we'll just see how it unfolds. |

BlueRayDick: I think one major problem we are having is that our fringe players are actually “fringe” in every sense of the word.
Like our fringe players mostly don’t play often because Arteta has his preferred team and wouldn’t deviate from them . So, it is understandable that the few times they play , only few teams watch and keep tabs on them.
For example most teams have seen Martinelli and Trossard play that left wing and will buy either of them if and when the opportunity arises . Now look at the right wing; I’m sure everybody thinks our right wing is just about Saka and anything/anybody else in his absence .
The fact that Saka doesn’t have a deputy on that right hand side means nobody really knows what the deputy is capable of in his absence (which almost never happens ) Overcorrectness dey this post and now I understand. Hopefully, Arteta would learn to play his fringe players and rotate more starting from this season. |

BlueRayDick: I believe the marketing/pricing issue is due to several factors .
Look at Nketiah for example , if I run a club in the EPL and I need a striker who is to run things upfront as top 9; Nketiah will never be among my options. No disrespect to the young man o, but I only see him as a decent attacker but not that top 9 that’s going to take on the team’s goal burden.
I mean I won’t see Watkins and then proceed to sign Nketiah in his place . If we’re still in the era of 4-4-2 , then certainly he would fit the role of a second striker .
We also don’t know what clauses are being inserted into the players’ contract that is making some of them go for cheap sha.
Another thing is; it appears we stopped being a selling club after Wenger’s exit. We seem to be more focused on buying the right set of players , using them through their contract life span and sell them as scrap afterwards. The ones we are unable to sell , we just cancel their contracts out rightly and everybody go their separate ways.
I don’t know if this is a deliberate strategy or things just work out that way, but I think I prefer us being a buying club than a selling club. I don’t fancy the idea of selling top players for a high price and our team’s performance will suffer later for it. I prefer this current model, I am an Arsenal fan and not Arsenal’s accountant . Let the accountant worry about the books and FFP Fair points bro. I agree with you about preferring this current model over the Wenger own cos we don too suffer for the previous one. But I just hope we can improve on the ways we can sell our fringe players as well as academy too. That's two things Arsenal needs to work on sincerely |

🚨According to Charles Watts, we have some concerns about Thomas Partey's fitness after Arsenal's three friendly matches in the US.!?
🔸️Normally, Thomas Partey would need a month of regular play to be able to reach his best form.
🔸️However, after three friendly matches, the Ghanaian midfielder's current situation compared to the end of last season has not shown any clear improvement in terms of fitness.
🔸️Thomas Partey still seems to be unable to return to his best form because in some situations, Partey could not retreat in time to participate in defense and left a huge gap behind him.
🔸️In the match against Liverpool, coach Mikel Arteta also expressed his dissatisfaction a few times when Thomas Partey lost the ball too easily, causing Arsenal to receive dangerous counter-attacks from the opponent.
🔸️We hope Thomas Partey will improve this problem soon because he will almost certainly continue to be with Arsenal this upcoming season...! 💪 Your thoughts... Old age don dey beckon on Partey. Wahala |

BlueRayDick: Omo!
Nothing u wan tell me, Pepe was more underwhelming than Willian in my books. I wasn't expecting much from the signing of a 32 year old who has never scored 10 goals in the league even when he was playing for Chelsea in his glory days.
Yes, I was frustrated like every other fan seeing Willian struggling each game day, but that can never overshadow my frustration with Pepe and whoever sanctioned his signing from Chelsea.
The funny thing is Willian didn't even spend more than a season with us(which shows he was indeed a stop-gap). Pepe was a bad market through and through; It was so bad we couldn't even get any big team to take him off our books. Look at Dembele for example; as much as he gba for Barca playing rubbish up and down; he could still find his way down to PSG.
Nobody wanted Pepe because nobody could see whatever we saw in him before falling for the scam deal Lol, well, we have different opinions about Pepe. Not bad tho cos your points are valid. But you raised something about us not selling Pepe and that's thing I'm certainly worried about. Personally, I think we're not good at selling/marketing players. See Nketiah for example, Man have been in the team for over 3 seasons. He has epl experience and play in one of the top clubs in epl. In some certain situations, he's been our starting striker and he hardiy have injury yet even with all these advantages, we are struggling to even sell him for £30m. To me I find it so concerning. If he's in somewhere like Chelsea now, I'm certain they would have sold him for like 50m, yet we can't even get 30 for him. Imagine Omorodion going for £35m and Alvarez going for £85m but us, na beg we dey beg Marseille or anyone interested to collect just 30m. Nelson is another concerning care. Ramsdale who's in form and we're looking to sell, yet no club is even looking his way presently. What do you think about this matter? |

Credit to Edu and the club though for the job well done. Nothing like ridiculous salary and this has really helped when it is time to negotiate be contracts with the players.
Another thing is Arsenal don't block any other means the players could earn their own money (aside their wage). Like the image right of the players who are stars. I read that Arsenal give the players the 100% right. That's commendable too. Wow.. This is really great. Highly commendable |

BlueRayDick: How na ?
Willian was a 32 year old signed on free transfer as a short fix for our attacking issues on the right-wing. How is his signing and time at Arsenal more usless than Pepe's ?
E be like say some fans just love that Pepe guy unnecessarily; the kind of love his performance for us doesn't deserve I expected more from Willian as a short fix cos I thought he'll give us at least two seasons (seeing that he wasn't really flopping at Chelsea when they moved him on) but Man was absolutely horrendous all round bar his first two matches. At a certain time he was irritating to watch. Pepe on the other hand really underwhelmed but his first two seasons at least, he wasn't horrendous. I can remember our run towards the end of that season we won Fa cup under Arteta, he has some respectable run of form in performances. I remember once joking here that he Pepe will underwhelm throughout the season but once it reaches towards the end, he'll catch a bit of form and confuse person that he's picking up. I won't also forget he sometimes turns up in Europa. Personally, I don't think he's totally useless for us. |
