Spy360: You didn't get me. What I mean is that at their level they have spent big.
While I will admit that their coach is the main reason (which I have already mentioned) but for them to pay roughly €70m for one player for a midtable team is big. Also they didn't sell last season unlike most teams at their level. So in essence they have strengthened their first eleven with like 4-5 quality players over the past two seasons. That's big.
Pope, Botman, Trippier, Willock, Joelington, Target, Guimares, and Isak . Eight players to strengthen their first team alone. I understand all these things you guys are saying but you guys are saying it as if it's something new for a midtable teams but it's not(esp in EPL). Everton and Aston Villa don do this things also but nobody claimed they spent "heavily". Is it because they aren't overachieving?. I can even use Wolves to show how they spent almost 100m on two players only, yet nobody is saying they spent heavily. You can say they spend, fine but using heavily like say they're the first midtable team to do that, that I don't agree When they start to spend "heavily" unlike their peers, shalaye no go much cos e go dey clear |

Roland17: I will not necessarily box Newcastle's success to their transfer activities, rather, I will credit E. Howe's coaching, especially changes in tactics and lineup. Yes he did bring in D. Burn/Botman/Guimares and they have been impressive especially on the defensive end of things but when you look at how discipline and patient Newcastle are, you will realize this is about coaching.
Their attacking/ midfield players in Almiron/ Willock/ Longstaff/ A now health C. Wilson/ Joelinton were here before Howe. E. Howe has balanced their attack now as they no longer predictable or have to depend on Saint Maximin for every attack. They are a very methodical team that are great aerially, break away and they take their chances.
I believe this is more about coaching. Simple. It's just down to coaching— Howe. Nobody expected Newcastle to be 3rd or playing beautifully by international break. |

You want to host an event involving the Western world, but it has to be on your own rules?
I am not a fan of all those banned items or activities, but i don't support the ban at all.
If you can't accept everybody's culture for 28 days, you have no business bidding for the hosting rights[/color] I believe they're called "hosts" for a reason and they've some rights to restrict some stuff as long as it doesn't contravene to human right laws, FIFA laws and/or injurious human beings. Most of these things being banned is something that's against their rule and it won't seriously affect any sane human being in any way. If it does affect, then it would be in a minority. popizaino: What i meant was that were the coaches who your club signed to replace Unai Emery better than him?And no Potter didn't enjoy new manager bounce because he never did the unexpected, just won the games a team of our calibre should be winning . Tuchel on the other hand, has proven to me that he is not who we think he is,winning as an underdog and go missing when you are the favourite. Such manager justify why we sacked him couple with it horrible approach to football. That is the bolded I don't just understand from some of you Tbh Man won UCL in first season playing beautifully against Athletico, Porto and Madrid while being defensively resolute against Man city in the final but see as you undermine all those works as " winning as underdog " You guys went to European super cup twice before he came and lost on both counts and he won the other one that was eluding y'all, yet you termed it underdog winning. I guess you love the one you'll be playing beautifully In finals and losing abi? FIFA club world cup nko? The one you people participated last before he came, did you win it? What even surprised me was when blue.angel was saying Lampard would even show more attacking input than Tuchel in that final. Someone would think you guys lost or that it's haram to win 1-0 in a UCL final. The more shocking is bringing Lampard near Tuchel conversation. Man reached double finals against Liverpool losing both on penalties. The way you guys saying it here about lack of chances, one would think both Havertz and Mount didn't miss clean cut chances to bury that game. Or should I talk about the Lukaku goal where Var decided to invent another ruler for line measurement in order to chalk out his legit goal? Tuchel was horrendous this season admittedly but was there any way to say he wouldn't have turned it around with his new signings?. Man didn't even had the opportunity to use Auba and zakaria sef plus harness more of Sterling. Look at Klopp for example, Tuchel was topping him before he was sacked oo. Let's all pretend that Tuchel didn't playing good football during the first half of last season . Oh I forgot, he was underdog against midtable teams too My bad!! You can hype and praise and believe Potter all you want, I mean, it's your right and he's your coach. When you take a look at net spend you know what I am talking about. They buy and not sell. Usually, for a club in their class in terms of performance in the last 5years that spending big. That's also why they are attractive. Players like Trippier, Guimares, Willock, Joelington etc moved there because they saw some prospects.
The second other point is that they have a good coach in Eddie Howe.
As for Nottingham Forest, they are just coming off lower leagues and will need to spend some more and still keep their best players to have a shot to higher positions. I don't agree they spent heavily at all. In fact, they've not even start spending. With respect to their Arab money owner and EPL standard, wetin dey spend no reach for person to include "heavily" at all The difference maker there is their coach (Howe) cos in terms of spending, there are some clubs that have spent more than them yet no show |

I am glad we took the risk with him. He has learned his ropes and we're lucky to have him.
I remember years ago when he wanted to join and some of us felt he was too inexperienced for a big club like Arsenal; my response was that we have to get him as I see him as the next big thing after Pep. Having trained at Barcelona, Everton under Moyes, under Wenger and as an assistant to Pep. Again, for Pep to have such confidence in him to make him his assistant you know he's got something.
