The difference between those passes is that Jorg enabled havertz to get in behind the defence while Kane was already getting in behind the defence which hojberg saw to make that pass. I believe you know there's a big difference there

The difficulty of a pass is determined by the amount of space in which you are dropping the ball, not any megedefegede you typed above.

All passes are into a space, whether the striker runs or not, that is their business, the object of the pass is to drop it into a space. The more space the easier the pass. If a striker and defence is on the halfway line and you have a whole half to pass into, that's the easiest assist you will get in football. That's why teams park bus, because the less space, the harder it is to play in the striker.

Jorginhos pass is actually a regular pass that Thiago Silva has made many times this season.

Hojberg pass is way more difficult because he can only hit a small pocket of space. If you don't know this, you don't know basics of football.

Kane was already making the run (seeing the space afforded) and hojberg (in sync) capitalized on it. I mean any professional midfielder can attempt such a pass. Compared to Jorg whose distance is farther(very far to be honest), at a side of a pitch and have two attackers to pick out yet he isolated and picked havertz with that pass. You don't need to twist or turn your leg or be precised to get that Jorginho's pass right, just make sure you target your man, the diagonal run alone from havertz makes it easier and it is why I always call him out everytime he misses an opportunity to give this kind of pass.Go back to last season fa cup final when I was calling him out for this. As for Hojberg pass you need to use the tip of your feet to lift the ball to get it right, that alone is not easy .

But Jorg was more difficult. It not only needs it to be perfectly weighted for havertz(whom he personally picked out), he also have to calculate the projectile of that pass not to get intercepted by either the keeper or any of the defenders there.

The only reason why hojberg pass is even brought in contention with jorginho own is because the former have a clinical striker called Kane who converted that pass from that tight angle. Most players dey do hojberg type of pass sef, even Harry Winks don do am sef. That kind of pass is mostly (always) triggered by runs of a striker.

With jorginho pass we neglect the fact that Kai is not even a fast player, we also neglect the fact that if that pass is over hit, it belongs to the keeper or if under hit it belongs to the defenders there.

That was a perfect pass by jorg that really picked ONLY KAI out giving him the time to even control the ball.

The Odegaard/Saka Union can't be replicated on the LHS cos Xhaka is just not it. So Tierney plays the Odegaard to Nelli instead and Xhaka covers for him.

Reason why we need a technical midfielder next season. Odegaard is just making me love him as each match day happens. Aside his understanding with Saka, partey and laca(sometimes) his vision and technicality is so so great and his work rate is very very impressive.

More, I love as Martinelli is trying to add variety to his game, I just wish Tierney can be that flexible too. It's little wonder guys here once preferred tavarez to him
