They've not done what Cristiano has done for Portugal, collectively and Individually. And save the WC, Goatnaldo has won all for Portugal.

Bruno is 30 or so, and he has not won many trophies, for giving so much to both club and country.

So he should be supported to win it for Portugal too.

Wait, apart from Messi, which player you want take troll CR7, but for Bruno, other clubs no go let us rest...
Nobody go troll Bruno same way nobody is trolling Modric now that he has retired. Nobody is trolling Giggs too.

Infact, people hardly troll players for not winning anything with their country as long as they do it consistently with their clubside until Ronaldo won Euros in 2016, that's when we started hearing Messi is not a legend and Messi is not a Goat and bla bla bla and that Ronaldo is the ultimate Goat and Legend as he's conquering both in club and country.

It was you guys who now made us realize the importance of winning with the national team for Goatship. So don't try to rope Bruno and Dalot in, nobody really send dem cheesy grin

I understand you. Issue of who starts and who doesn't aside, what if there is plan to sell one of or both Kiwior and Zinchenko this window. Motta has been hammering it in that he wants Kiwior back. And then, that's when we should start running around for replacement?

Let's set Calafiori aside and look at our defensive options, how do we fair compared to City who is our direct rival? No way any of our backup CBs will come in for Saliba and Gabriel and there won't be drop in quality. I can't say the same for City. They're well loaded in that aspect.

If your worry is that they won't spend on other positions, then I don't think Arteta would be that foolish. So relax... let them buy whoever they want. My own na make Dem win EPL this season.
Well, Except they're certain that one or both of kiwi and Zinny is going then I'll see the need of the transfer. While I'm even certain we won't even sell Kiwi is that we just bought him recently hence we still have that much hold on his contract so it won't be easy to lose him Except we are the ones that wants to sell him

And yes, tbh that's my worry tbh. It's not the one that when we buy him now, we'll either be cash strapped or be looking at Psr rules that might restrict us. Anyways, like you say, make we deh watch and look. Las las, make dem give us Major trophy this coming season. That's just my own grin

Is there anything bad in having more than 2 standard CBs?
Look at the way Pep (our competitor) rotates his CBs without any drop in quality. It doesn't hurt if we're working towards that as well.
The signing is necessary please. For instance now, Tomi has one of his niggling injuries and we needed to rest Saliba or Gabriel. Tell me there won't be much drop in quality.
When I meant standard CBs, I meant our core starters. We all know in football the position that's hardly/never rotated are the CBs and Gk. So...

..If we need Gabriel to rest, Kiwior or Timber will fill in that place and there won't be much drop in quality. Kiwior deputized Saliba when the latter was injured and our defence was pretty calm(after Holding was dropped). Imagine how him and Saliba would be as Lcb and Rcb respectively. Timber on the other hand have played most matches as Lcb at Ajax and he won player of the season. These are two able deputies for Gabu.

For Saliba, White have played with Gabriel for a whole good season and their partnership wasn't bad at all. White plays Cb, Timber shifts to Rb(in your instance of Tomi injury). I mean all these are able deputies that can carry us through.

What we need is Odegaard deputy, Havertz deputy or superior, A good Dm(so that Rice can play his 8 ). Saka deputy (I don't know if they even have plans for this cos I'm not too comfortable seeing right footed player or Viera playing there). Gk if ramsdale is leaving

When I'm talking of strong squad depth, these are the areas I was looking at tbh not another defender.

RB - White and Tomiyasu

LB, Timber, Zinchenko

CB - Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori*, Kiwior.

One defender will definitely move and that is likely Kiwior
If one defender should go, I'm suspecting Zinny Sha.

But then, this Cala signing I don't think it's necessary to be honest.

Timber can play Lcb, Lb and Rb
Tomi can play Rb, Lb (and even Lcb from his country)
White can play Rb and Rcb
Kiwi can play Lcb and Lb.

And all these players will play there without significant drop in quality (especially if Saliba or both CBs is present)

So it means the only two standard (non-variety) players are our two CBs in Gabriel and Saliba. I don't know why we're still itching for another defender.

Sha, I no wan dey chuuk mouth for transfers laidat again. Arteta and Edu knows best. My own be say I need correct major trophy this season

I don't even understand the team at this point again.

Who is deputizing for who now
Funny enough e be like say na true but make we see Sha, it might be another rumor.

I heard the guy is very good (ignoring the Euros) and he can also play Lb aside the Lcb but I don't think his signing is necessary.

We need other places to fill up urgently compared to the defence

Yea, Haaland needs to evolve. As for the rivalry with Mbappe, I was expecting that until he moved to City. City might give him visibility but not for long. Maybe a move to Madrid or Barcelona in future will give him the platform.
Lol, he'll need more than just tappings to upsurp Mbappe if he moves to Barca presently or in future grin

You still remember that match? That one-on-one should stay one side first. You still remember that his left footed shot from the edge of the box? Now that was some sharp strike. Unfortunately they don't make such strikers anymore. Na false 9 we just dey see everywhere. Haaland is good but the system has rendered him impotent.
Lol, I was shocked when that happened (his hat trick goal). I thought he'll move towards into the 18yard box before unleashing the shot cos there was time and space. Omorr, the technique, swerve, precision and power of that goal was out of this world. Where was Cech diving to sef?? cheesy cheesy.
Aside Henry and VP, I've never really enjoyed any striker at arsenal. Eduardo gave me some feelings sha while GJ just excited me in his first few months. Aside these two, no striker have really wowed me tbh. But above all, the worst starting striker (for me) was Giroud. grin grin
Like you said, na false 9 and system don full everywhere. Striker are looking forward to assist than score cheesy cheesy

As for Haaland, it's only him that's the ancient traditional striker in modern times. Tbh, I feel if he doesn't evolve his game and Pep leaves Man City, we won't see his exploits for long again. He should just try and evolve his game cos he's still young. Years ago, I was thinking him and Mbappe might be the next Messi-ronaldo rivalry but sadly I don't see that happening again.

Messi's first goal for us is a chip in.
Di maria only winning goal in copa is also a chip in. But nowadays, e just dey somehow.
Maybe it looks easy because we are not the one in front of the GK. Who knows?? grin cheesy
Lol... I don't agree with the bolded. See Messi and di Maria, that's their go to signature goal in one on ones especially Di Maria.

Except a player don't know how to chip cos I don't see why it should be hard. I mean, Gk is already out of his post and you don't need to even play it above the normal height of Gk (cos obviously he's going/gone down). Players can even mix it up. Do as if you want to place the ball, keeper goes down, then you chip. It's easy.

And to be honest that's even my de facto signature goal, whether I'm playing Pes or in the field. Worst part is that GKs will know that's what you want to do, but they MUST still go down. It's a reflex. Check every one on ones, all GKs go down before the attacker even hits the ball

You're right. Remember that nutmeg by Suarez against PSG and how he shot that ball at the top bin. That is what these young strikers should emulate. No need for calculation, just pick a spot and put in enough power on your shot.
Sesko has that shot power but where he placed the ball was wrong. A keeper rushing forward to close you down will never have enough height to punch. Just place it at his left but a bit higher.
I remember when we beat Chelsea 5-3 in the 2011/12 season. Then I was watching it at a viewing centre.

For the 4th goal, immediately Terry slipped and Van Persie took the ball, I started dancing before he even ran with it towards 1 on 1 with Cech. I was so 100% sure that he'll score it and he didn't disappoint.

When Havertz have that 1 on 1 against Liverpool earlier this year in our 3-1 win, I was just hoping that he'll score. I have to wait for ball to hit the back of the net before I'll celebrate. Thank God for Saka for the rebound cos I still wonder till today how a professional player will play that very poor ball straight at Allison.

The only player in our squad that I'm very certain if he have 1 on 1 is Trossard and to some extent Saka and Martinelli. For others, na just hope till the ball hits back of the net

Most players nowadays are not clinical. Na just to hope and pray for ball to hit the back of the net before someone will celebrate. This is very unlike before
