AdisaOwala: Ferguson would have done wonders now means The league was more competitive during Fergie's time.
Shey na this season's disappointment dey affect you ni? The thing is that without that 90+ points, Fergie wouldn't have touched Pep and it's facts. Mou Came and did 90+ points twice and Fergie no see road. E come be Pep wey better pass Mou with Oil Man City money backing. Oga nothing for happen. And I mean no disrespect to Fergie cos he's a great coach |

Klopp try pass all those Amazon prime coaches yet na only one title he see win.
Ferguson was beating a mediocre Wenger dey claim top coach. When hand of Pep touch am he almost developed Parkinson Ferguson wey na mostly 80+ points him dey use win league. The time Mou show England like pep, accruing 90+ points, Fergie was nowhere to be found with him own 90+ points but Adisa go tell you say Ferguson would have done wonders against this Pep |

The last two games has shown they can be much more organized in the midst of these same injuries people have been using as an excuse I swear. And I'm surprised. That alone is a big sack cos it means he even have the tactics the mitigate all the unfortunate situations that have befell the team but for some reasons he chose to exacerbate them for some reasons best known to him. He's really not serious at all |

Spy360: The title race is still open and anything is still possible. A red card, a penalty, VAR etc. It's hope for me, because City doesn't look like a team that will lose, but then hope maketh not ashamed for all things are possible.
It's been a great ride for Arsenal to get to this point. At 6 games to go after we drew at Man City it was a three horse race of which very few felt Liverpool were the ones with the advantage because of their easier run of games and they were at the top. At the end of it all it has boiled down to just us and City.
Winning it would make a huge statement and would mark a new beginning at the club after years of oblivion. It will shine a bright light again at the north of London. However, win or lose the team has done well as you cannot fault a team that fought for the title till the last day. I will be anticipating... Well said boss. They've really really don well this season however this season pans out. Well said |

Roland17: This is why I encourage your camp to calm down and read positions before responding. From what I have been reading from your camp, you guys already have responses before even reading and understanding varying positions.
Again Jodera, let me reiterate for the umpteenth time, my solution is very clear and Barcelona have employed it. Do I think Arsenal will utilize my solution? No, I don't. Our history with him has shown me they will not but that is my own solution.
I have not asked for him to be fired now, however, an extension should not be offered "Right Now". Let him stay with the team until 2025 when his contract expires and we can evaluate based on results. During this period, the club should continue to back him financially. A lot will happen between now and 2025, but he absolutely has to earn that contract. Heck, if he wins the league this year, it absolutely without any doubt changes everything because he would deserve a contract extension in my books. We have declared losses in 5 consecutive seasons and are at the peak of our spending, that should bother every fan.
You guys need to understand that coaching a traditional big 4 like Arsenal comes with a lot. It comes with the territory bro, it is nothing personal. I want to win and if he is not going to get it done then we should take a different direction after his contract expires. You need to stop making all the excuses for him.
Currently, Arteta is the 4th longest tenured coach in the EPL with the same team, he will be 3rd when Klopp leaves
Arteta is the 4th highest earning coach, when Klopp leaves and depending on the numbers he will become top 2 in the EPL
Arteta has outspent City/ Liverpool over the last 2 season and a combined 700M during his time at Arsenal.
Finally, if you cannot provide proof of me recommending Mourinho as Arsenal coach, I need you to retract the statement, no need for apologies, it is not necessary to me. First and foremost, I apologize and I retract that statement. I duly apologize Anyways, we all have our different opinions cos I still don't believe Arteta should be sacked even by next season even if we don't win the league as long as there's a very very noticeable/markedly progress except it's for a coach who is at the very top of his game. Arteta and Arsenal board agreed on a 5-phase plan and I believe when that plan is completed, we'll win this league— with or without Guardiola. I firmly believe so!!! But then, let's ALL sheath our swords abeg. It's somehow getting ugly If it continues |

Roland17: Abeg, show me where I recommended Mourinho. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who thought Conte is good.
A lot of times you guys respond with already perceived emotions and that is the biggest issue. The thing is when Pioli's name came up, you guys sounded like it a sacrilege. We have put their resumes side by side and Pioli trumps Arteta, consequently, the comparison is justified. Of course you can choose Arteta but to denigrate coaches who are better is a no no for me, especially one who is around the same timeline with Arteta.
I have told you guys severally, Arteta should stay until his contract expires in 2025 and we will review after 2025. Honestly, the reason why I felt it's a sacrilege is because I don't see him as someone that can elevate this arsenal side further. Yeah, I agreed he's a good coach (Conte) but I believe if you dig deeper you'll find my reasons why I'm against him cos his style of play is boring while he'll always be demanding for 1bn pounds every season. Same ish I had with Mourinho. Na why those two no dey ever last for club. I believe in arsenal first above any Coach (including Arteta) but c'mon sacking him? And Tbh, it's now I'm even seeing that you gave him 2025 timeline (that's end of next season). I wouldn't have dragged you if I know. Na all these "if Arteta doesn't win league this season, he should be sacked" I am against. |

Roland17: Naaaa, just stop it already, you should know you are debating a Hardcore Milan fan here.. Lets go!
League best finishes
19/20 Pioli-6th Arteta 8th 20/21 Pioli-2nd Arteta 8th 21/22 Pioli-WINNER Arteta 5th 22/23 Pioli- 4th Arteta 2nd 23/24 (Ongoing) Pioli- 2nd Arteta 2nd
Best finish in UEFA Champions League 22/23 Pioli- Semi Final Arteta 23/24- Quarter Final
Best Europa League finish 23/24 Pioli- Quarter Finals Arteta- Semi Finals
Domestic Cups 19/20 Pioli Semi- Finals Arteta- 19/20 WINNER
It is not even close! Pioli beasts Arteta side by side. Should I add expenditure and budget? Respect to you for acknowledging Arteta has had more financial backing.
You guys just need to take a chill pill and respect other coaches. Your MCM is yet to better most of these guys so the comparison is justified.
Like I said, you are welcome to choose Arteta but please don't insult or denigrate other coaches who have achieved more with fewer resources. Lmaooo. If this is the stats, the gap is not even wide sef. Na just one League title separates them and if eventually he wins it which I believe he would, then he'll rubbish everything Pioli ever did. |
