Your Conte wey you recommend don dey jobless after half and half season with spurs. That's another winner.

There is a very big difference between when Arteta came to Arsenal and now.

When Arteta came to Arsenal, we were struggling between mid table and Top 6. Giving a rookie that learned under one of the best managers an opportunity to see what he can do is not much of a big risk, what is needed is to sack him as soon as the team is about to enter relegation zone and nothing much would have been lost.

But giving a Top-2 team to a rookie to manage is not just foolishness but something close to suicide. Nobody would have allowed an Arteta on us if we were where we are now.

There is an adage in Yoruba that translate "if a god cannot better your situation, let him leave you the way you are". So asking us to gamble on an unproven manager that has no guarantee of bettering us at this level is beyond foolishness my brother. I will rather stick with the upward improving Arteta, with hope of him winning a trophy sooner than gamble on another rookie or an unproven manager.

The fact that Arteta improves both himself and team every season is worth more than experimenting with an unsure manager.

Give me Pep or Klopp or Ancelotti or Zidane then we can talk, otherwise leave me alone jeje with Arteta
. I need to see Alonso for 1 more season before I rate him.
This is 100% facts and undiluted truth being spoken here.

Na exactly this thing we deh talk but dem no wan hear

TBH, the problem is not that Emery is not good enough. The issue is that he lacks that charisma to handle a big team. And that he found himself at a club having deep mentality issues. There is a reason why Arsenal's coaching job at that time was tagged the most difficult job. Most of his success have come when managing small teams. He once threw a 4 goal lead against Barca if I'm right.

BTW, Arsenal's issues starting from Wenger's last years are mainly based on mentality. There are off field issues which I think Emery was not prepared to handle.
Dem go do like say dem no know say Arsenal was one of the hardest job then. During Emery appointment, nobody expected us to compete for league. What we just know is that we should make top 4 and get one or two cups. We knew we were long way off. We had no hope of ever facing any big boys away cos we know the mentality never reach that level.

That's why when we lost the Europ league by deliberately bottling top 4, everyone was angry but the criticism wasn't like this cos we know our level. Emirates was boring and fans just dey see match just because we're fans

Ask any of them the season we finished 5th that if someone says we're to become contenders the next season onwards even when we're not at their peak, would they believe?

Anyways sha, whether we win league or not, I dey wait for that next Joshua.

Arteta came in and stabilize everything. There were too much toxicity in the dressing room at that time. He cleared out the 'deadwoods', reestablish the connection between the fans and the club, and got us among the elites again. Along the way, he made some tough and strange decisions that we the fans were not comfortable with but see where it brought us. Looking at the trajectory and the different phases of development he tabled before the board, it can only get better from here. Losing the league to City twice is terrible, and we all have the right to be angry at him. But nobody is overpraising him.

Man specifically stated that last season was when we were supposed to be competing for top four. Like we were supposed to be fighting for top 4 but we competed with City for the title. That only means we're on the right path. Those against him said we won't be competing again this year because United and Chelsea would be competing too. How has that ended up please?
Na that stability gan gan be the issue wey dem no wan see.

Arsenal and Man U did the same thing with both Arteta and Eth respectively but both are presently in opposite directions. Both clubs complained how the board doesn't support the coach and how the players have down tools.

Both clubs identified their coaches and agreed to finally support them fully in the transfer market bringing in the desired players they want.
The former bought players transformed his team, stabilized the atmosphere and we're now respected like never before.

The latter bought his own players yet they look worse than ever before. Fans are groaning everyday and the his players have downed tools too.

But dem say the former should look at the latter because the latter won Carabao cup.

They thought the stable and competitive environment that Arteta created na from thin air him pluck am?

How come he won trophies elsewhere? How come he is about to make UCL with Villa? How come Arterta didn't use that squad to d this present "wonders"? My point will always be he was never 100% the problem.

You knew Arsenal was never spending big then....it was series of loans, yougsters,pensioners...Which reasonable coach would go purchase Luiz, Litchternie and Sokratis...
Wenger Owned Mustafi and Kolasinac....

If you don't want to rate Europa final them why are you guys overpraising Artera's coming second? Why overpraising being favorite against Bayern? Why overpraising beating these Utd, spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea who have almost been beaten by anyone...
E
Like I have said, it's you guys who are emotional about Arterta, he haas tried and should be made to feel the heat of delivering of may get sacked....as against the he has done wonders and should be here comfortably for 10years... I don't believe his. Critics hate him nor want him sacked, they just get irritated by the legendary treatment they are reading from some of you.
Nobody is giving anybody legendary treatment here.
We are celebrating progress made unlike what we have before and I don't see what Is wrong with that.

One thing I know is that nobody is attacking anybody for criticizing Arteta. I've criticized him here, Mo.stob, Spy, Blue-ray have all criticized him one way or the other here.

What we're against is saying Arteta should be sacked and as well undermining the progress we have made as a team. Imagine Saying this team haven't improved before

Imagine saying Arteta have been this season and last season is top 4 we're contending for. What sort of progress-undermining is that?

And when we try to rubbish those notion, they will tell us we're Arteta lovers and that we're taking Arteta as a god!

I never thought a day like this would come when we see fans trying to rewrite history about Emery’s time with us. Suddenly Emery is being portrayed as a manager whom the management was not patient enough with , didn’t get enough support from the management in terms of signings and had to work with bad work tools thereby leading to his failure at Arsenal .

Why am I surprised sef ? Shebi with lapse of time some people actually think Abacha wasn’t as bad a leader as we all thought. We humans are really very complex in nature sha

Suddenly, Arteta bought quality players he benefitted from

Let's pretend most of us never had issues when Arteta was revamping the squad (bar Partey)

We complained about Ben White signing
Most of us here wasn't in support of Odegaard signing
Ramsdale signing was treated with disgust
Gabriel for most part was always criticized.
Even the Tavarez and lokonga was instrumental for us in our top 4 push then

I can go on and on.

But now they are quality signings and these are the people Xhaka benefitted from and not because of Arteta coaching acumen

Maybe if Emery did to his signingz what Arteta did to his, we won't be calling them clowns here.

Emery wanted Partey that year, Torreira wasn't his first choice, Guen was a kid.....my point is Rice and Partey buys were never what previous managers before Arterta benefited..

The Mustafi and other clowns were Wenger's left overs, they almost relegated under Arterta that year, before he was able to turn it around by finishing 8th and Fa cup... Remember that was the beginning of big signings at Arsenal from.White, Partey, Jesus, Zinchemko and others...

It's you guys who belittle Europa final with that squad but overpraised his own Fa cup...
Xha
For Xhaka, For me, he only improved due to the qualities around him here and in Germany.

Lastly, I no too get issue with Arterta, I'm not calling for his sack, but I'm never going to appreciate overpraising him like a Messiah nor allow him to be flexing with no pressure on his jobs.... despite his efforts and lots of good work, he has errors too...

He should have a fear of what happened between Ramsdele/Raya may happen to him too.
Maybe if Emery had won a cup, just any cup, with that squad and also not lose the dressing room, he would still be an arsenal manager not Arteta.
All these Europa final praise wey we no win no be am
