Arteta and Arsenal did not have the financial war chest you would normally associate with a club like United so, whilst it took Arteta a couple of seasons/transfer windows to get the right players in, at United, with 2-3 transfer windows, a coach would have spent the equivalent to sort out the playing personnel but what did we get? The man came in and asked to be given full control over who comes and who goes and much to the disappointment of most United fans, he decided to keep a majority of the players that were deemed surplus to the requirements by an experienced head in Rangnick...If Arteta had the finances, he'd never have struggled all those years. The thing is Ten Hag fvcked up and I'm not in anyway implying that he should be given time. In fact, If Arteta have been sacked during the time we were playing horrible football and getting bad results, I won't have regretted it cos it was that baaad.

I dunno if Ten Hag is a good coach but one thing I do know is that your squad Is bad and with right recruitment, a good coach will bring this club up. Lastly, let me just make it clear. It's not about the finances only, it's about recruitments. Arteta first signings he recommended were luiz, Willian, One defender from Brazil league (I've forgotten his name). If you guys gets your recruitment right(without relying on ETH), maybe, just maybe, you might see a different ETH.

I've complained about it since January. I was explained away on here. The fatigue factor is making him go the Gavi/Pedri route if things are not managed well. For one, Arteta treats him like he's impermeable. Then this injury he seems to be managing. Guy might just be low on confidence too

Guy really needs competition and breather. I will hate to see Saka go the way of owen and other stars who couldn't reach their ceilings.

Saka is too good to just not to be a world class. I just hope they help him find that spark again. If it's injury that he's managing, abeg they should allow him heal biko.

But Omorr, his first full season (the season we finished 8th again) no pattern of his plan showed and this is coming from me who is an ardent supporter and fan of Arteta right from day one. At a point I was so fed up that I don't mind him being sacked. Football was so horrible and results was very very bad. At a point we were actually winning once a month for upto 3 straight months.

The upturn was when he overhauled the team again and with the help of Edu, we bought all these guys we're parading now, that was when we started seeing this football. And to be honest, it wasn't even immediately. It still took till around December (2021) before we could see the good football

That's because Rice is not a sitting DM, he is box to box type of midfielder. Using Rice or Caicedo as DM is calling for the team to be easily exploited, one of the reason Chelsea lack consistency. They will useful in DM in their late 20s.

It's not about sitting DM. Rice can play there well. That's what he's been playing even right from West Ham.

It's about Maximizes his strength for us cos we know he can play further upfield and we have a DM.

We were winning games yeah, but with our church mind we just knew something was off.

At the turn of the year esp during that Liverpool game onwards, everyone knew we gat "our team". And that's due to Havertz, Kiwi, Rice Jorgo and White all having great different roles. Our press were frightening, our passes sleek and our attack was great.

Bringing Havertz back to Midfield is limiting. And with our squad depth of Trossard and GJ, it limited our options coming off the bench cos the rest are real match rusty.
