Glasgow Rangers is past. Don’t label the player and crucify him. Form is not permanent. Consider Maja that went to Ligue Un from League one, he has been largely anonymous. I’m not writing off the player still, but let’s stay in the present. Modified Check WhoScored for his UEFA stats komekn: Unfortunately Championship teams cannot compete in the UEFA otherwise they would suprise a few established teams.
Serbian league cannot compete with the Championship. And so l place them on league one level.
How many goals has he scored in UEFA that makes him impressive? Then in his club and league is he in the top three goals scorers or let's be overly generous top 5 for such a low league.
Surprisingly the league is rated higher than the Scottish league. Now compare Glasgow Rangers and Celtic two of them were able to beat top level opposition in the name of Porto and Lazio.
Look at how consistently outstanding Aribo has been that's outstanding in my book.
Currently he has not done enough to wash away the the mediocrity that he stained himself with at Glasgow Rangers. |

Osim has the potential to surpass Yeking , but it’s still early forgiveness: Osimhen didn't deserve to be called as at that time he struggled in the Bundesliga. His case is not different from Awoniyi who is also struggling in the same league but nobody thinks he's good enough. How then was Osimhen good enough as at that time?
You can't still compare Osimhen with Rashid Yekini except he starts scoring like him. He is still far away. |

You know how long it took Onyekuru before Rohr looked his way. It would take Okereke a while... maybe if he moves to France. The quickest way to Rohr’s heart is France and Germany hahaha andrewbaba44: The best option is okereke

I respect your opinions because you have respect for others opinions by the way you worded your post. At the end of the day each person’s opinion is worth one cent until the eventuality, then we will know who is who. Icon4s: Sadiq Umar to me is not an upgrade from PA Onuachu. Infact same reason I don't rate Onuachu applies for Sadiq.
Considering the abundance of wingers who are mostly ahead of Olayinka i will consider fielding him in a striking position. Iheanacho, could come in handy if he can get more playing time either at Leicester or from a January move . Okereke comes next for me but I think he is still very much work in progress. Dessers well, also coming up but he is behind Okereke for me. The other strikers have not done enough (IMO) to be considered. |

He was denied by the bar. That’s the only strong team they came against. But overall he has been impressive in UEFA. Don’t forget your line “Lion in the lower league...” A least we can apply that here. League 1 or 2 is not better than the Serbian top tier. Partizan is a decent club komekn: Do you know there are league two teams that have held thier own with Epl teams that doesn't put them on the same standard.
Was it not a league two team that beat Leicester City in the Cup last season. But they still didn't do much more that season.
I remember Southend playing Arsenal a few years ago and almost winning the game.
In cup games anything is possible.
If you put Sadiq Umar in league two honest no bias he will struggle. You said he held his own OK how many goals did he score ❓ over the two legs and you know a lot of thier youth player were in that team. So how did he hold his own bros. |

It's not always about physicality.. He is doing very well this season. We won't agree on this one. komekn: Sadiq Umar hmmmmm get as he be.
Physically imposing player with zero physicality.
Unfortunately we have not seen Josh Maja play for the SE and he is just about average or below at his club.
The slower paced and less physical game doesn't seem to suit him. Either that or he is simply not good enough. |

Isaac Success should go back to Spain and remain there for a few seasons Himself and KC should have been very reliable members of SE by now if not for this EPL craze. No be must to play for EPL See what Samu and Osimhen are doing now. Them be mates from their U17 days. Also considering Musa Yahaya's age, he should have at least made the U23 team like his former teammate, Nwakali. |

you see as i put quote + bold for my "hard" forgiveness: Rewatch the match against Argentina at the world cup then you will accept he is better than Collins defensively.
Okoroji is a natural LB. Rohr should try him out.
Another player i would have suggested is Uduokhai but I don't know his situation regarding playing for us. |

Which is why I had said, let's wait and see. I was specific to highlight the area of Aina's game that I like - intelligent plays. No wonder he is more of a wingback somehow: He's yet to play that position for us against serious teams of recent unlike Colins, so can only judge him with his last performance there against a stronger side |

The moment he honored the call up to England, I considered him gone. Or would he have refused if was subbed in that debut call up? Also ,in my opinion, Eze is as good as gone if he rather prefers making it more difficult to commit to Nigeria. iSlayer: While they were celebrating they didn't realize Tomori is now officially gone!

defensively he is suspect to me. I don't even know what's Idowu's best position. Since the Argie friendly game I've hardly been impressed with him. He reminds me of a versatile Etebo in this regard. But the latter, I can at least identify his strengths. He is good at ball holding/dribbling. Collins is not a bad player though. But we want excellence. The good thing is that we have options to consider in makeshifts. Looking for a pure lefty LB will be "hard". We can't have what we don't have unless we want to give the local boys a try.. haha.. Over to Rohr forgiveness: Idowu has faired well in gwg. Even against the almighty Argentina at the world cup.
What people have against him is offensive side of his game but I think he is still better than Collins in that area.
However, I want a natural LB in that position. |

Yes but Aina's time with Torino may have improved him. I hardly focus on past. I'm looking at the present. somehow: We will see ke?
He has been tested there against stronger teams, hence the emergence of Colins

Like I would always say., keep your benchwarmers on their toes so they don't get too comfortable in bench. Same applies to the regular starters. When you realize as a starter, losing your position means you could be out of the team completely in no time, you will give your 100% anytime you manage to wear that shirt. As soon as a deserving player is spotted, a player who has performed quite consistently for a period, he should be called up to replace a regular benchwarmer. This would promote a culture of excellence in the long run. Watch how our boys would be playing just before the world cup. mostob: Yea .. it is funny. I just feel we shouldn't put all our eggs on one basket. Now that Nigeria is blessed with talents, having quality back up is paramount. |

I agree with most of what you said, but Idowu?? Granted, I THINK Idowu would have fared well against a team like Lesotho. forgiveness: Very impressive scoreline though it could have been more than that due to missed chances. However, the team still lacks in some certain areas. Especially, the wing backs, where we were exposed several times and conceded the first goal from the right back.
Aina should be moved back to his natural position while we look at Chima Okoroji for redemption at the LB. Pending the time we try him, Idowu should be allowed to play on the LB. He is better than Collins both defensively and offensively.
Rohr should also look for a back up for Aina and Oshimen. I suggest Kingsley Ehizibue be given a look at. He seems to attacking minded than Ebuehi. I have not written off Ebuehi oooo.
On the other hand, we need a better back up for Oshimen. We don't need to realize or start looking for one during crises.
Moreover, Iwobi's position needs a better player. |

no, you are saying is possible to have a him as a GK coach squarely. If u say GK coach/player, then I would agree. The goalkeeper player thing na the koko. Enyeama is not hanging his gloves yet. Maybe he would accept the reality sooner or later. somehow: So why did you then disagree with me?

Yes i won't take that away from him too. You see him play as a wing back and winger on both flanks. Like I said, he is still needed in the team. tbaba1234: Nigeria changed formation at half time to 3 5 2.. Simon versatility made that kind of switch easy. |

Kalu didn't start today due to rotation I THINK. And I welcome the idea of rotation, as long as his direct competition can do very well. Which is why I've always called for continuous competition. Icon4s: For me, our best two wingers are the two Samuels( Kalu and Chukwueze). Simon should be starting from the bench. |
